If someone can answer this please, as that is a bloody good point/question.

Edit: wrote that reply before I saw yours.
The answer, it would appear, is that it isn't:

and we have seen a steady increase in the number of FTM such that the incidence now equals that of MTF
Maybe bloke in a dress is just more of a stand out thing than a woman in 'man's clothing', which is fairly normal.
Anecdotally based on work, I've seen way more female to male trans kids than male to female. Probably 10 to 1 ratio.
Thanks, I think this is probably what I'm looking for:
So presumably now, as then, male-to-females stand out more socially and that's definitely reflected in media coverage. Doesn't resolve the sport issues but makes sense in every other respect. If so, it raises the question of why greater number of FTM did not seek therapy previously. One possibility is that a relatively lower degree of social stigmatization of females adopting cross-gender behaviors (compared with males) allowed some alleviation of gender dysphoria in transgender males.
Fwiw, that (more FTM now compared to before, which was the other way around) is why some people suggest that transgenderism is more due to social contagion nowadays, as opposed to being a Real Thing. Impressionable, insecure teenage girls being lured by internet weirdos and such.
Even the New York Times is starting to entertain the idea that transitioning as a child might not be the best thing ever: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/02/o...dysphoria.html
The men doing it are mentally ill and/or [autistic] fetishists, which is also why they tend to be a lot more aggressive about it all, and the women doing it are mentally ill but doing this instead of being anorexic or cutting their arms or whatever else mentally ill teenage girls did when we were at school. The latter follows the former for reasons Pepe mentions.
such a horrible person.
I think they are looking for the easier ooutcome
Interesting when you compare that to some of the shit which is apparently absolutely fine in the eyes of the IOPC on that C4 To Catch a Copper programme. On that it seems every female officer in the Avon & Somerset region is gagging to 'pava' anyone at the drop of a hat.
Some kinky dogging thing?
Yeah, that's what they call it.

Lol. Maybe sell a few of your houses.
lolThe Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) uses evidence from focus groups to make the estimates.
How does this shit actually make it onto BBC.
Fiver in a birthday card, now fuck offThe rising cost of living and an expectation to offer financial support to grandchildren
"We might own everything, but we're not made of money"
Speaking of owning everything, it looks like the pif are about to buy tennis as well. Is there some gay-only sport I can watch that will be safe from their grasp? Gladiators, I guess.
They already pay lots of money to get WWE over so they ain't gonna be scared off by Gladiators. The women will have to wear boiler suits though.
Diving. They won't touch that. Or any winter sport.
I support this endeavour.
I guess the problem with the Enhanced Games is nobody at their physical peak would risk their career to participate.

Hasn't this already been done by that icarus/epo bloke, to some extent?
Be lol if he dies or something.
I mean, if they're waiting for the kid to come back, the might as well kill the time.
Sounds like the UK's waterways may have claimed another victim.
Tragic that our institutionally racist education system stops Muslim men from learning to swim.
Tony Blair forbid it.
"He went in The Thames" sounds like utter, utter bullshit.
I've just seen someone on GB News claiming that if he did, he'll find him.

This should become a thing. Who doesn’t want to see a gassed up geezer blast the 100m in about nine seconds flat?
I can see why athletic bodies are concerned as who is going to care about their 'non-enhanced' games when someone's running the 100m half a second quicker, even if they are riddled with steroids.
Be amusing if he doesn’t beat the record.
I'm a twit
That's the thing. He's been retired for four years. Doesn't matter how much gear you put in, that's a lot of lost time. Swimmers peak young.

Great to see the gammon's development.
What sort of lunatic wears shoes in their house?
And maybe hold fire on praising the west:
Medine Cohen says that The Row, a luxury and trendsetting fashion brand, has “basically been trying to crack the code on how to wear shoes without looking like you’re wearing shoes for the last six seasons”. Indeed, their sold-out slip-on mesh shoe, which looks more like a structured sock than typical outdoor footwear, sells for Ł600.
Anything is better than bare feet. Or sliders.
Socks. If it's cold, slippers.
I keep my shoes on at home.
Sliders, but I have wooden floors that are freezing. If it was carpets would be socks.
Shoes off at the door. one of my pals has an “indoor” pair of trainers… trainers aren’t that comfortable.
