Stunning.
Stunning.
Taz getting all steamed up watching Bassey today.
Saliba arguing when that could have easily been a red.
Mong.
Arsenal are a right pack of fannies. Beaten by the weather as much as the other team.
Calvin Bassey has been immense today.
Absolutely zero time wasting in this game yet the ref adds 5 minutes.
Watching Odegaard against a team defending deep is quite funny. He’s so one footed and makes it obvious what he’s going to do
We'll remember 2023 as the year when Mikel Arteta had credibility.
Spurs fluking their way to such heights is mad with that defence, if they can get another vdV or him back fit, they could kick on in 2nd half. Less said about Arsenal the better, geezers spent how much on complete non-entities yet are still relying on Nketiah, Nelson, etc, gtf back to irrelevance.
Why were there two games at the same time today? Paired with no New Years Day round of fixtures it feels like they've really fucked the Christmas football schedule this year.
A late game today would piss off the fans as they might struggle to get home and back out for the fabled NYE festivities.
Not having a full round on NYD I imagine is because it’s on a Monday and Sky/TNT just cannot go without their usual Saturday-Sunday lineups, especially with Amazon snagging the best day (Boxing Day).
Yeah, I thought that, but then 3 of the 4 teams playing were London based and the other one is a manageable train ride away.
And New Year's Eve is shit, natch.
Shame the leap year is coming to ruin what would be the perfect football set-up [Christmas on a Tuesday] next year. There should be a rule against staggering the Boxing Day games over more than 2 days as it fucks everything else. Brighton are playing 3 games over the course of what feels like forever, when you'd quite often be getting 4 in during this pre-Christmas to New Year period.
Yep. 21st, 28th and 2nd for Brighton whereas other teams have 3 games in 6 or 7 days. Dumb as fuck.
Boxing Day is still great but peaked about 10 years ago I’d say (all 10 games played on the day but online streaming was a thing so you could watch them all). It’s only going to get worse with the next TV deal probably; being able to televise every non-Saturday 3pm game will mean we will never get more than four on Boxing Day again.
Still get all the lower leagues on Boxing Day and NY Day which is all that matters
Sky get some mileage out of that 4-3 game.
God forbid the consumer ever be able to go 12 hours without barclays soccer. Massive risk of the customer defecting to La Liga or online gaming which put the customer first.
