C. Ronaldo
????
If that list isn't exhaustive could it be something like scored a goal on their birthday? If it is just those names then clearly not.
Steven Gerrard wasnt given the opportunity. Is the biggest key.
I'm stuck here. I thought it'd be something about scoring in CL finals (penalties maybe) but Batistuta never got to a final.
Yeah, having written several of these knobhead questions, that one suggests that it's something outside his control, e.g. he's from the wrong country (not the case as Lampard did it), or he didn't come up against a particular opposition.
Is Ronaldo referring to Cristiano Ronaldo or Bob Ronaldo?
Given the time span I was going to suggest something like 'score past Buffon in the Champions League' but Gerrard must have had the opportunity to do that.
Depends how specific the Gerrard not being able to do it it is - is it just him or are there other unlisted players that fit? Could be something to do with playing all/most of a career for one team - ie never scored against his first club or something, but that assumes Messi has scored against Barcelona and a few other unlikely occurrences [Scholes, Kane] so I don't think it's that. Also someone like Giggs would never have had the chance, for example.
Perfect hattricks? (Left, right, head)
Gerrard had the opportunity to do that, unless we're officially classing him as a headless chicken.
You can't score a hollywood header from 50 yards.
Didn't he score a header from the edge of the box once? Might have been Suarez.
I've cheated and found it on Twitter. I won't give anything away but it's annoying.
I wondered if it was something like 'Score against Steven Gerrard'. Doubt Batistuta or Raul will have done that; Owen probably not while at Real Madrid, United or Liverpool; Scholes is the most likely one I think as Kane and Salah would be too late.
EDIT: Just looked up Scholes, only scored two goals against Liverpool, one of them Gerrard was playing. Bollocks.

Has Maradona done it?

Rubbish

I wasn't a million miles off, just a few hundred
I think it’s also wrong anyway, as Batistuta never made it to a CL final.
Terrible.
This may be a tad niche, but here go.
Fill in the blanks of players to have international caps and also played for Super Crewe Alexandra (not necessarily at the same time) - super tough ones are given.

Zimbabwe must be Grobbelaar. I'm sure he went to Liverpool from there.
Platt started at Crewe didn't he? Got to be the player with 62 caps if so.

For some reason I got Crewe and Charlton confused.
Easily done. Same colours, both shit.
Added years to the missing answers...

David Vaughan for the Welshman.
Billy Jones never quite made it did he?
That year helped the one cap wonder. Seth Johnson. Another great player if it weren't for injuries. Bit of a theme at Crewe that.
Geoff Thomas for the last one.
Too many Crewe fm games for me
