Two wins the difference between second and dead last in a 12 team league is some going. Less than a point the other way in our matchup the other week and it's Browning in my place.

Shoutout to the team in the second Fleaflicker league who beat @Dan by less than a point last week, to then again hold on and win by less than a point this week to knock Dan out of the play offs.

A special shoutout to my TTH Dynasty team who has had the wooden spoon and therefore first pick in the draft sewn up for what seems like several weeks now. Then has decided with the help of Mike Williams and especially Jerrick McKinnon in the final week, to turn up and actually win for once, therefore handing Pleb the first pick.

Planning to go ahead and return to the 2 keepers per team format.

Keepers will cost whatever round pick you picked them in last year. Anyone who wasn't drafted won't be eligible for a keeper. Keepers can only be kept for 1 year.

I forget which one was your mate, Baz. Andy I think? Are you both planning to return?

First game is September 8th and I don't have any other drafts to get in the way besides one on August 27th, so the weekend of 5th/6th September would appear to be the ideal draft time, but open to suggestions if that doesn't work for all.

Yep, my calendar must have switched back to August while I was writing that. 2nd/3rd September would be best, unless there's any objections.

Yahoo necessitates we determine the draft order before it allows me to set keepers so I've always had to do that using a random number generator. I'll get to that once I know everyone is returning as knowing where you are drafting can help determine which keepers are worth it/not worth it.

I think I mentioned this last year but I'll gloat the idea now it's pertinent: smaller squads?

Our draft takes about a fortnight to complete if everybody's there and with every player anybody's heard of gone you're basically boned if you need to try and pick up a player further into the season.

I will, as always, go with the flow but I really wouldn't be opposed to smaller squads. Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

It’s definitely something that wasn’t properly accounted for when we expanded from 10 to 12 teams.

That said the benches are already pretty shallow with only 7 spots for 11 starting positions. We could probably drop 1 flex and/or 1 WR spot and get away with it if the majority wanted to.

I quite like the BLOATED squads due to the 2 keepers. I like taking punts on rookies late like Pacheco in round 10 and Brian Robinson in the 14th last year.

If everyone else wants to trim it down though I'll live with it.

I'm actually away now on the weekend I mentioned so I think ideally the draft would be on the 26th/27th. I do have another draft on the 27th but it starts at 11:45pm so I can probably fit both in, or the 26th would work fine.

With that in mind I'll set the keeper deadline for the 17th to give everyone 2 weeks and then we can (hopefully) figure out a draft day/time that suits everyone.
