He'll get away with it by claiming it refers to Liverpool's 97 point second-place season I would imagine.

I think you're overestimating the brain power available there.
It's a bit of a joke that you can be arrested for that.
Better for natural justice to take its course for such banterlad behaviour.
What in earth would the charge be, "upsetting some scousers"?
The guy is clearly a twat but there no way you should be arrested. Just let some scallies give him a kicking.
Edit: yeah, what Niko said.

Looks like we might be getting a test of the RL defence. All a bit ridiculous really, but I guess this is where everything being a hate crime gets you. Were there likely to be any Liverpool fans or relatives of the victims in attendance to see the shirt? It's obviously in poor taste, but unlawful?
Big Ange from Celtic to Spurs. About the 50th name on their list, but he's coming in.
They may actually start playing some interesting football again then. It's about time after years of Mourinho/Conte-ball.
Or, possibly more likely, Kane leaves and isn't replaced, they start the season with Dier and Sanchez at the back and relegation is secured by Christmas.
Celtic's success this season seems to be more as a result of a ridiculous abundance of talent rather than revolutionary tactics and I swear our resident Aussie was lolling at Ange's appointment last summer. With Potter and others about and Kane possibly out, this may be the end of Spurs as a top half side.
Possibly, but he plays attacking football, which is clearly Spurs' strongest attribute. The question is how suicidal that is with this defence and whether Levy will finally sort that defence out this summer.
I'm sure Queenslander was a fan of his, or at least one/some of the aussies were. I never liked him, back from his Brisbane roar days, so will relish the idea of him failing hard at Spurs. Can a fleet of J-league xG hustlers replace Harry Kane? Another interesting thought experiment to sit alongside the one going on in West London.
I feel like he’s played his hand already by signing the players only he knew about cos they’re not on FM, and they have bossed Scotland, which isn’t exactly hard. He’d get found out in the Premier League.
I'm a twit
How many United reserves are in that lot these days?
Dont think we have sent anyone out there for a long time.
To add to that, Union Saint Giloise were winning their game (and the league) until the 89th minute and proceeded to actually lose 1-3 and finish third.
So basically in the space of 5 minutes 3 different teams were winning the league.
You can finally add Juan Mata to that illustrious list of players that have won every major trophy at club and international level. He won his missing league title with Galatasary.
Sounds like things went badly wrong for Tony Bloom's mob in Belgium.
Also, someone's going to have to talk me through Belgian football's league structure. How are there 3 divisions? How have Antwerp ended up with 47 points from 40 games having won 25? How have Genk and Gillois ended up with 1 less point despite having ostensibly identical records? And how are Genk not seething their tits off as they also have a better goal difference, shouldn't they have won the league?
WTF is this?
It's lost me there.Championship Playoff
The point system in the championship playoff is the same as during the regular season, except that each team starts with half of the points they won in the regular season, rounded up to the nearest integer. The points gained by rounding are deducted in the case of a tie.
One the league splits after 30 games, points you already have are halved, rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The top 4 are the championship group, then I believe it's the Europa League/conference group of 4, then the rest are the relegation group.
What's likely happened is some teams did slightly worse in the championship group than earlier, now with halved points, you get identical records but differing points.
They hardly have 4 CL places though, so are you better not making the top 4 group so you can get a Europa place in the lesser 4?
1st gets into the CL groups, 2nd into the 3rd CL qualifying round. 3rd and 4th get Conference league qualifying rounds.
1st in the secondary group does get you Europa League qualifying, but you cant win the title if you're in that group, even if you get more points there than the eventual champions.
Zlatans retired
Ange is official to Spurs.
That's going to be some shit show
Burnley back in pre season already. They do realise their season doesn’t start for another 10 weeks?
And the coaches whine about fixture congestion. All they ever really want is an endless pre-season I think. No games. Just peak preparation.
You lads remember that Adolf manager who got linked with some prem team recently? I just had a little look on Wikipedia, and half the page for the small Austrian town he was born in is dedicated to the extensive Jewish heritage and history in the town. Christ, it was already dodgy enough calling your kid Adolf in 1970, but that makes it feel particularly dubious.
Qataris have made yet another bid for United.
This is by far the most boring saga ever.
Fiorentina are already resorting to shithouse tactics.
I'm embracing my inner Bamster tonight. Although 'Packer Ta' is not something I'm willing to listen to from the commentary team.
This feels a bit like when we made the Cup Winners Cup final in 1998. Hope the spanners win it, fuck Italy.
Instead of a yellow, diving like Benrahma did there should be an enforced substitution. No need to punish the innocent team mates with a red. Just get off the pitch you cunt.
A reminder there of why you can't take beer into the stands in English football, and rightly so.
Lol absolute scum club as ever, classic West Ham
Get everyone in that West Ham end thrown out. Launching missiles since the first minute. Scum.
I think I knew two names in this Fiorentina squad when I looked at it earlier. Football Manager me would have known them all.
I thought they had the other Amrabat.
That's surely a penalty.
That's a top quality penalty.
It was a penalty (though ref clearly wasn't keen), but a pretty unlucky way to lose a final if they do.
Should that not be a second yellow for going into the crowd?
Why is this stadium only about two thirds full?
