Scraped my free hit in at 5:55pm as I realised it was an unnaturally early deadline and I had 7 players with no game (3 City, 3 Arsenal and a suspended Maddison). I ran out of time to choose the captain but thankfully got the transfers done.

lol I missed the deadline. Got like 3 people playing.
Had no idea today was a deadline. I have a total of 7 people playing with Schar as my captain
Prepare for domination.
Benched Henderson for Sanchez again, ugh.
Henderson (11), Mitrovic, (7 when bonus points come in), Castagne (12) and Almiron (6 and counting) on my bench
Obviously hindsight is great but I really didn't know who to drop. I should have taken out Sanchez for Henderson as it was likely that both keepers get fisted but he was bound to have more saves.
The rest though, not a clue who I would have dropped.
Think I would have swapped out at least one Newcastle defender for Castagne or Mitrovic, but the others are probably fair enough.
Why does Pep now HATE Foden?
I transferred him in a couple of game weeks ago.
I obviously captained Cancelo.
You’ve an hour left to use your post-WC wildcard.

A few tasty double games this week. Who’s everyone got as captain?
Triple Haaland, here, vs United and Spurs.
I'm a twit
The triple on the big freak is tempting.
Could be handing Arsenal the title with the level of jinxing potentially involved though.
12 teams with double gameweek next week. Just took a -16 point hit.
I'm a twit
I've got 12 playing twice with no transfers made.
I'm reticent to shed my Arsenal contingent against Leeds at home, or Haaland really as Christ knows how that Liverpool game might go. Still got multiple chips in the bank so may consider using one depending on how the international window goes.
Wasn't one of the bits of wisdom a few weeks ago to wildcard to get into a position to have 15 doubling so you could bench boost?
Not had any Norwegian fucks in my team this season My stance on Raheem took about 6 years to pay off so I'm hopeful this one takes significantly less.
I have taken a four point hit to get rid of KDB and Haaland and bring in Son and Kane.

Clung on for champions league fantasy football next season.
Was this a high scoring season [ie did everyone captaining Haaland every week push average points up by 100 or so]?
How expensive is he going to have to be next season? Has there ever been a £15m player?
They should make Haaland £18m so there's actually a decision to make but he'll be 13 or 13.5 I reckon. They are much too conservative with their pricing and it just ends up with everyone having near identical teams a few months into the season.
I really like this auto cup competition that all leagues come with (is that Igor that won ours?) as it not only keeps things interesting for everyone till the end, it also adds some intrigue to the chip strategy.
Anyone participating this season? I have my draft coming up on Tuesday.
I'm struggling to find the time or motivation to make a team. Feels like it's going to be minimal variations on a theme again, which is pretty boring. May change my mind next week.
I'm not playing until they overhaul the game to give you actual decisions.
I've changed my team everyday since it relaunched. I'm now probably the least happy with it than I've ever been!

Just checked this and noticed that wide forwards are still listed as midfielders
Salah, Saka, Rashford, Richarlison....
Which is exactly the problem with the game.
The main problem is players like Enzo offer almost zero value. Sure you get points from clean sheets but tackles/blocks/xAR (average rating) have no impact on the point scoring.
I'm a twit
Yup, heavily weighted to defenders (clean sheets) and attackers (goals and assists) whilst plodding central midfielders get nowt.
Which is why you should be forced to pick 2 low-scoring plodding midfielders per team and therefore have to be more selective about your big attackers.
Either that or just lower the budget so that you can't afford Haaland without sacrificing a lot.
I have no problem whatsoever with Enzo not being a viable option. I don't want to be sat there on a Sunday afternoon cheering interceptions and key passes.
As Jimmy says the problem is everyone is too cheap, but they'll never change that. The average FPL player would much rather own Haaland, Bruno, Salah, Trent and Van Dijk than Mbeumo, Zaroury, Gross and Flekken. The game as is is a huge boon for engagement worldwide.
I am in a 90m budget league this season. Must have 10m in the bank at all times. Team looks far more interesting than the regular game. Link if anyone is interested.
Done my team, almost no research. It looks crap.
Liverpool is number one.

I'm somehow 79,197th in this. It won't last long.
The hard part is still paying attention and putting in the same level of effort after a few bad weeks.
Been forced to activate the wildcard earlier this week due to all injury concerns.
