I feel like if I referred to the lake district national park as 'England's mighty chode' there'd be uproar.Elnaugh herself described the national park as an ‘incredible vagina of land’.

I'm a twit
It's not that hard to find out his real name, it's been known for ages. It's more about not having his face widely known so he can go about his life without getting hassled in the street. He's said as much before, hasn't he?
I never got the emergency alert, so now I am dead. Cheers.
It turns out my phone is running too old a system for it. Still dead cheers.

People divorcing their spouse after they are diagnosed with cancer is really quite common.

My best mate was with an older woman (he was 25ish, she was 32ish) for a year or so, things were already fizzling out and he had met someone else who had made it clear she was interested, and his girlfriend almost immediately got diagnosed with bowel cancer. I'd say I feel sorry for him, but I feel worse for her, especially as she was dead 6 months after. Cancer is rubbish ennit.

Economists should be expelled from public life, part 4950235.
Surprised the BBC have opened the comments for that one.
Between him and Andrew Bailey, the Bank of England needs burned to the ground.
'Don't ask for a pay rise even if the government has fumbled the economy so badly everything you need to exist has risen in price exponentially.'
I do love these moments. Gammons relentlessly having their faces smeared in their own shit by those in power. Will they protest? Will there be an uprising? Will they start supporting those who propose radical solutions like a wealth tax? Will they fuck. They deserve all the pain and misery they get. I hope they all starve to death thanks to being unable to afford their ubereats.
The reason there won't be an uprising is because the gammon system is so historically and dare I say it uniquely successful in terms of living standards. Very much doubt the French Revolution would have happened if the peasantry had had Netflix. Petrograd 1917 wouldn't have had the same febrile atmosphere if most people, rather than queuing for bread, were queuing for a steak bake from Greggs.

Normally it's at least June before Animal Silly Season (ASS) starts to heat up, with all its tales of alpaca executions and dog evacuations, but it's coming round earlier and earlier every year.
"The four mute swans were very much loved by local people and I am pleased that we have been able to find such a fitting way to commemorate their lives and the very great pleasure they brought to us all by their presence here," she said.
"Priti Patel MP (far right)"
Heh.
No way she's smiling that much without thinking they're celebrating the death of the animal.
How he is still in a job is fucking staggering. Some of this inflation couldn’t have been forecast but not turning off the taps of cheap money as soon as the economy opened up was a massive issue that has made inflation far worse than it needed to be.
Rumours that there may need to be another couple of base rate rises because the Bank are now shitting themselves they still haven’t done enough.
People wanted lockdowns, and people wanted to sanction a commodities superpower, so people can't complain about inflation or interest rate rises. I can, but people can't.
The point being that if you started raising interest rates sooner(bear in mind their first rate rise was 0.15%) in December 21 it wouldn’t have been such a shock to the system.
By not taking action earlier when people had extra money in their pockets after lockdown because the couldn’t spend fuck all they have made the inflation at the back end here far worse and are then surprised that when food inflation is running at 15/16% that people want to ask for pay rises.
They should have been raising them ten years ago. They were never going to raise them this side of about 2024 had it not been for Russia, because 'we can't risk the recovery', which is also exactly why they never started raising them ten years ago.
It's like that Irish joke about asking for directions and saying 'I wouldn't start from here'.
Yeah, I'm not sure where this Bailey is a disaster comes from when we've had Carney lolling it up for 10 years doing absolutely fuck all.
Raising interest rates won't do shit when it's the cost of things that people need that are driving inflation. It was fine to keep them as low as they were as there was no reason to raise them and there still isn't a reason to raise them now - an entirely different solution is required and until people start talking about that the things that are said are akin to the discussed solution to the HOUSING CRISIS for all the good they'll do.
I'm no fan of Trump, but the story this lady is telling just seems complete bobbins.
The idea that firstly you would voluntarily enter a changing room with him for no apparent reason, but then to be raped without once screaming for help... This was a department store, not the middle of the field.
Given its basically her word versus his, I suspect this will be thrown out very quickly.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but rape victims freezing and not calling for help / fighting is pretty common.
