I fancy a golf game, I liked the first Golf Club but it was lacking a bit of sheen that EA tend to be good for.

Yep that's the one.
I’m seeing conflicting stories online. Is it possible to make 3 golfers and 3 different people in the same room using 3 controllers play golf, controlling those golfers?

Never mind, I don’t think I’ll chance it

Man being a melon cos he can't trounce his kid by 15 shots in same couch MP
I am addicted to Slay the Spire at the moment.
Def gonna get that new EA golf one. Anyone found it at a sensible price?
Once it hopefully dips down to a more sensible £40ish price I'm diving in.
Eeesh. Steep. I can wait for a price drop.
I paid £14 on Xbox.

It's dodgy as fuck and involves some fucking about but once it's running, it's running. Been using this guy for 18 months, still have Elden Ring, Dying Light 2 working from him etc.
Because you need to tie an EA account to the golf though, you can't play online MP. Not that I was arsed to do that so happy paying 14 quid.
@Clunge Did your Anbernic device turn up yet?
It did, although I've not had time to sit down with it and get it all set up yet. Earmarking Sunday to spend with it.
New Zelda in a month.
Will give me time to go BALLS DEEP before my second daughter is born.
Those Gran Turismo 4 cheats also work for Tourist Trophy.
I'm right at the end of Resi 4 Remake now. Should finish it tonight.
The original, as we all know, was a masterpiece. It introduced a lot of the staple mechanics of third person action games, flowed well.
This improves in some areas. The island in particular which was a bit shit in the original on reflection. But it is lacking in some areas. Its kept some of the one liners but its gone for a weirdly realistic vibe a lot of the time, which feels like a weird juxtaposition to some of the insanity in the plot.
Gunplay is wonderful, visceral blowing bits off enemies, headsets are glorious. Ashley actually isn't a ballache to have around and her section is vastly improved.
Regenerators are fucking terrifying.
But...after all is said and done I'm ready for it to be over now. There's been some absolute 10/10 bits, some 7/10 bits. Some of the boss fights are weaker in comparison, some of the character and well, fun of the original is gone.
Unless it absolutely shites the bed at the end I'm comfortable giving it an 8.5. I've loved my time with it and will probably run through NG+ at some point down the line as some all powerful Leon, but as is the case with recent Resi games it feels like a one and done for me.
This final section sucks dick and I've given up playing it.
Its the weakest part of the game, post Krauser. But it was in the original too.
It would be very TTH if you dragged your way back to the final only to get battered.
Good luck.
Yeah Defect and Ironclad work best for me though I completed first go with Watcher weirdly.
I've made it to ascension 16 for all four characters, but really struggling to get any further now. Have beaten the heart before, but not bothering with it now - just trying to get to the next ascension levels.
So I got my RG405M up and running over the weekend.
However, mine came with this issue, which seems to be widespread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ANBERNIC/co..._screen_issue/
Have contacted Anbernic for a replacement/refund.
Yeah, the just came back to me offering me a replacement screen and instructions on how to fix it myself. Sod that. While I could probs do it, it's clearly a widespread issue so I don't really want to take the chance on there being issues further down the line too. Have asked them for a full refund. Might look at getting a RG353M instead for the meantime. Tbh, the 405M is probs more power than I need as I'm mainly getting it for GBC, GBA, N64, PS1, Dreamcast, Gamecube, etc. Just want a metal housing though rather than plastic. After 10+ years of using Macs and iPhones, I just can't go back to plastic stuff.
You'll get everything but GC on the 353. N64 emu can be a little bit sketchy but that's the N64 itself, not the device.
Lack of Google Play store is a bit of a bummer though, as part of my logic for getting the RG405M was to be able to play current-gen handheld/mobile games.

Its there, just a bit of work.
Yeah, was just reading that earlier. Can always go down the GarlicOS route too.
The minigun in Prodeus is one of the most satisfying FPS weapons I've used in a long time.
Having been on the Anbernic Reddit page a bit over the past few days it seems it really is widespread that the 405M has bad quality control.
At a guess I'd say it's been so popular that they've rushed a new batch though and everyone is now getting theirs around the same time(with problems).
Sort of the opposite approach to the Miyoo Mini +. That thing is widely regarded as the best game boy style handheld. However you can almost never get one. Any time they release a batch, its sold out in minutes.
Picked up Dead Island 2 off my favourite dodgy East European guy for £15. Done the opening, and considering this has taken about 20 years to arrive, its actually great fun. The gore/dismemberment engine is really impressive.
O2 sent me a code for the closed beta of Crash Team Rumble. Seems fun but I’m rubbish at it, with no scope to ever improve. Doubt I’ll play it much, certainly won’t buy it.

Seen WrestleQuest, @Ian?
I'm a twit
Yeah I've been keeping an eye on that. I've thought before wrestling would be a good setting for an RPG or something other than just doing a wrestling game so I hope it's good.
That looks amazing.
I keep thinking about finishing the Fire Pro World story but it's too much of a long visual novel for me to care.
WrestleQuest looks great and I do wish more wrestling games went the pure fantasy route.
Talk to me nerds; should I play Greedfall or, having never played any of them before, Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 on preparation for 3?
I'm a twit
Greedfall I never got to but hear it's a bit of a 6/10.
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2... have you played many of those reet old RPGs? No idea how those two in particular hold up but my gut feel is that they're gonna feel very dated. Which, y'know, fine if you're into it. Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 might be more obvious "warming up for Baldur's Gate 3" material given it's the same dev, even if it's a different series.
