It's just GamePass but for PS, no?
It's just GamePass but for PS, no?
I saw something about it being cloud based gaming. If I won't notice the difference then that's fine, but is that the case? Any of you fine gents use it?
Looks like it contains an absolute wealth of PS3 games, which is great as I don't think they're backwards compatible.

It's very similar to gamepass. Some games you can play via cloud without having to download them too.
Yeah PS now is the cloud stuff with a rotating library iirc.
The PS Plus Collection is the one you want to be looking at for some of the best games from PS.
I'm tempted by PS Now. It was never worth bothering previously due to my passable internet speed but when we moved I've now got 30 times the grunt so downloading full games doesn't take a week. I assume you can do some kind of trial, might give it a look later.
I used it for a month free trial on my PS4.
It was pretty nifty.
Also to be clear @Yevrah PS Now and PS+ are two different things. You'll still need to have the latter to play online features of games, though there are also a good catalogue of games that go with that too.
PS Now is their streaming service for games. I've never used it but they give you a free trial to start with.
12 months PS+ for £24.99 is on the PlayStation Store right now
Hmmm ... I've just renewed but that's a golden opportunity.
If you've got a PS Now sub does that include the ability to play online for the games included or would you also need PS+ on top regardless?
Just had confirmation that this bad boy will land on Monday!
The US equivalent couldnt be bought if you had active membership![]()

Worth it for a quid.
Yeah, although I don't know whether I'll get time to bang through something on it.
It's coming today!
Merry Christmas, Yev.
I do definitely feel like a child again!
Thanks for all of your help explaining the offerings gents.
We shall start with God of War.

PS Now is pretty shit for old games/stuff you have to stream. Some lag in there sadly.
Meanwhile the Series S/X emulates PS2 perfectly.![]()
I'm a twit
Good for Me and for @Yevrah who have yet to play this.
OOoh, that's on PS Now, which I'm working through at the moment weighing up whether it's worth continuing the subscription or just buying the games like that that I want. I have a lot of the multi-platform stuff on Xbox so already, so downloaded about 20 games and a working through them. So far I've played:
Super Ultra Street Fighter XVIII (Or whatever it's called) - fun for 5 minutes then deleted
Olympics 2020 - Possibly the worst game ever, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't fun
Things I've got from it that might actually be good:
Beyond: Two Souls
Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
God of War III Remastered
Heavy Rain
Horizon Zero Dawn
Soma
Vampyr
A load of Indy stuff
The subscription is £8 a month after the month for a pound runs out, so thinking of doing a quick look through each of those and then cancelling and just buying the ones I actually like.

I played Street Fighter 2 on the SNES to death in my teens, so it's not that I think it's a bad game I've just genuinely got nothing left to get from it.
Yeah, it's the kind of game that you either go balls deep into online competition, or you just don't bother.
One of my mates has given me a VIP code for a ps5 bundle from Currys not sure what's included (besides the actual console)
Shall I take the plunge and delve into the murky world of PS5 users or wait?
So apparently you can but internal storage drives to increase the poor capacity you get out of the box now.
Anyone have any experience of doing so?
I havent but I am planning on it soon. Installation seems simple and from the videos I saw it doesnt impact performance at all.
I've not done it myself, but it's apparently the same as installing an m.2 drive in a PC. If you have any experience with PC building?
I did mine on the PS4 and it was easy enough. Just undo some screws, switch it out and off you go.
It's pretty easy to do Yevrah take the sides off unscrew the covering pull out the old hard drive and slide the new one in
Think you can pick up a 1Tb drive now for the ps5 for 180 quid
I'll probably be doing it soon but right now I'm not too pushed for space.
I put a 1Tb drive in the PS4 and it took seconds, I assume it'll be the same for this. I've got an external drive connected for the PS4 games as it is already so I'm a good way off capacity for now.
Picked one of these up in Game last Sunday. It's a lovely bit of kit if fucking freakishly huge.
I remember being blown away by the haptic thing on the controller, on the Astro game built-in when you feel the rainfall it made up for the console itself being a superyacht.
The resistance on the triggers took me a while to get used to feeling.
I didn't even realise my PS4 didn't have haptics?
Must be shifting stock for a pro model
I still don't think that's happening. There's no developers clamouring for it like there was with a PS4 Pro.
PS5 Pro announced. Games at a slightly higher res and a bit more detail and maybe possibly 60fps. November 7th, no disc drive or stand, £700.
Yeah, not a chance. I don't even think the power's necessary. Nobody really pushes the box outside of Sony.
Just buy a pc.
Has it got any games worth playing yet?
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
Returnal
Demon's Souls
Astrobot
Astro's Playroom
Lies of P
Those two Final Fantasy VII remakes
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Spider-Man 2
Stellar Blade
Some of these are also on PC but that's the best I can come up with.
