Have we won?
439 points BOOM
I'm a twit
Public are full on politics.
so obvious
This voting system is mental.
Congratulations Ukraine. Your country is ravaged by war so the people of Europe have voted that you should also spend millions on hosting a singing competition.
Stunned Sweden did so badly in the public.
Disgraceful but e/w came in so can't complain. Cheers, James.
UK could host or Poland I guess.
Inevitable. Feel for Sam.
Finish the job Russia.
That’s a fucking farce.
Moral victory and don't need to host it.
We can just send that guy every year if he's so popular with the Eurovision juries.
Yeah, Ukraine still trumped them big time. I imagine that's about as big a public vote as you can get so at least we know what the upper limit is moving forward.
I was hoping Ukraine would get a sympathetic, but not over-the-top, 300ish and Spain 350, but fuck it on the whole it was an alright Eurovision. The UK bloke needs to stop forcing his teeth on us, though.
He's trying to get his money's worth having just paid for them.
Ukraine getting 431 out of a maximum possible 468 from the European public. That's incredible. #Eurovision
Nobody else stood a chance lol.
Ukraine at 3s when I called this a political farce. SvN and Manc are slitting their wrists to Europop as we speak
Seeing those Ukraine beer ads at the FA Cup Final should've been an omen.
"Man, our country's in the news. WHAT BETTER TIME THAN TO MAKE SOME GAINS IN OTHER MARKETS."

Romania’s Head of Delegation Iuliana Marciuc says she does not understand why the EBU cancelled Romania’s jury vote — or why the 12 points Bucharest awarded to Moldova instead went to Ukraine.
On Sunday, Marciuc told Telejurnal that the Romanian jury had followed all the rules set forth by the EBU, so were taken aback when their result was annulled. She describes phoning home during rehearsals to see how things had gone.
Few other countries had their jury results adjusted too.
How dare the integrity of this annual pride parade be sullied. Next you'll be telling me Mika was there by force.

It's coming home.

All the expense, none of the glory. Probably get cruise missiled as well so let's put it in Scotland.
£20 million apparently. I should be able to recoup about half of that if Glasgow gets it and I can airbnb my flat out.
If Bazbot turns it around TTH Meet '23 is sorted.
If they don't have it in Scotland they're doing it all wrong. Get a massive union jack beamed onto the Forth Bridge.
Couple years ago I would have opened this thread and I'd have been laughed out of the park. Good to see things are regressing steadily. Congrats on your boy banging it in well dear Britsies.
He's back
You better be around for Eurovision 2023, reclaim your thread.
Time for a haxball comeback?
I was talking some people on some forum about the good old days of the internet, remembered my old stomping grounds. For some reason it's still going. I must conclude that you people are clearly as mental as I am.
I remember the Haxball. Was in a team with I think Ian, Jeet and I think you too Pepe. We had a shit team on paper but then we somehow totally clicked and we were destroying the field. Was nice.
Sorry, you were on another forum?
You mean like have I cheated on you lot? I certainly have. Ever since the forum meltdown things just sort of fizzled out, did they not?
Yes, now covid is defeated and the World Cup is six months away, we can all complain about much more minor things.
United Kingdom to host Eurovision Song Contest 2023
Who needs to host a World Cup or Euros, this is what the country needs
I was cursed by being on the same team as Pleb and him being the only other person who consistently turned up.
My wife just suggested getting tickets for this next year, despite having never properly watched it. Barry Glendenning recalled he once got sent to cover it and the bars closed as soon as the acts started. Sounds like hell.
It'll be about £500 a ticket.
Sounds like every woman and gay man aged 25-50 in the UK will be on the waiting list (well, most of them, anyway) so I wouldn't bother.
Stop flirting you two and just agree to go together.
The profile picture opportunities would make it worthwhile alone actually.
