I have a site they get posted to, albeit a bit randomly, I'll post it once I'm back at home. Great to see Bautista back in contention, I still can't believe he lost that title after winning the first 11 races or something ridiculous.

The GP scene is good but I find Moto 2/3 more interesting than the top class.

Moto3 is always fantastic chaos. Like last week, the brand new 16 year old barging his way past the title contenders en route to the podium.

Two more sidecar blokes dead at the TT. Father and son. The Senior TT's been postponed until tomorrow morning because of adverse weather.

Marquez taking time off for another surgery. Possibly him done for 2022. I can't see him coming back.

Is this in addition to the surgery he had a few weeks ago? I've not seen any chat on the usual channels about a second surgery.

Nah, it's that. I thought it was more recent because MotoGP are slow to put their race highlights up on youtube. Still, four surgeries in 18 months and a concussion is a bit rough. Honda want him back sharpish which probably tells its own story.

Puig (Honda team boss) is an arsehole. They need to cut him loose and hoover up the Suzuki staff.

LCR's already took Rins, although all I remember from him this season is a lot of crashes.

I'd love someone to save that Suzuki op. And for Kawasaki to come back in. More manufacturers, please.

Honda really like betting everything on one rider, it's comical how fucked they've been without him.

There's got to be the commercial aspect as well. Marquez is the last genuine icon left on the grid.

Bike liveries are normally a bit of a mess but those yellow Ducatis looked surprisingly good.

That's about as good as you can get in today's sponsor-heavy era. It's been a long while since they ran the yellow throwback.

I still think the Rossi-era Ducatis looked sharp. The problem with that yellow effort is it just makes me think of Yamaha.

Over at the TT, Michael Dunlop's closing in on Joey's record. Two wins with six races left to go.

Now he's one away from Joey's record. The senior TT starts in 10 minutes. He's won 4 races this week.

EDIT: Hickman wins. Just the one rider death this year, I think.

I wonder how long the average time is from someone passing their test to deciding, "I'm gonna thrash this on a public road." I think there's a little bit of that in every biker.

Going through Kirkmichael would shit me up every time.

Absolutely insane, totally different breed these TT/Macau folk. I'd say the ability:maniac ratio is about even. Definitely talented riders but even your regular circuit racer would be shite in this setting because there's a lot of balls required. Whereas in MotoGP it's heavily more in the ability column.

Speaking of MotoGP, while we've got this thread bumped, anyone care to talk about the ultra silly, silly season that kicked off on Monday? Marquez to red Ducati (unconfirmed still due to sponsor clashes), Martin to Aprilia, Bastianini to KTM. Ducati literally went from on top of the world when they took 1-2 in Mugello on Sunday, to potentially opening the door to their rivals due to being bluffed by just not one guy, but two.

They still have Bagnaia and the possibility of Marquez on that bike would tick some boxes.

Marquez is official now. Two years.

I mean, it's great, but they got played. They thought they had the situation where they could have Bagnaia, Martín, Marquez and Bastianini as their four GP25s but got too cute about it and lost two. Now the two remaining bikes will likely be between Morbidelli, Aldeguer and Bezzecchi, a significant downgrade.

Aprilia now have a proven winner (so we will see the real pace of the bike outside of Vinales at COTA) and KTM have the man who is best on tyres (so they can get data on their achilles heel). If those signings pay off it could bring them back on Ducati's level a lot sooner than they otherwise would have.

Marquez obviously a great rider, but Ducati should have just gone for Martin.

It'll be interesting to see the extent at which Ducati try to sabotage Martín now and the ensuing fallout with Pramac.

Is the Aprilia any good? Would be a shame to see Martin slumming it in 12th place or something.

Well they kind of did. They promised it to him after Barcelona, expecting Marquez to fold and go to Pramac. Problem is they wanted all three guys so asked Martín for a bit more time so they could thrash it out with Marquez, but Martín told them to swivel (fair enough I'd say).

Big balls move by Marquez and it paid off handsomely.

Also Bastianini turned down a GP25 at Pramac because he was the scapegoat in the whole thing. If Ducati handled it better they'd probably still have all three signed, rather than one.

I think it is yes. They've nailed the aero better than any other team (see Vinales' rout at COTA for proof) but Espargaro isn't top level and Vinales is, while really fast, relatively unwilling to battle it out when its tough. Martín will gets wins for sure, and he might be what they need to make that final step to be a front runner every week rather than just 1 in 3.
