It’s buys and sells so it doesn’t really matter which way it goes. It’s only those massive movements (either way) that wipe you out before it turns back.
I've rarely seen it sell. I presume it buys in slumps and sells in climbs then, it really has been modelled on a geezer using martingale on the roulette table betting against a run of reds/blacks

Tricky to work out percentage stakes if some people withdraw and some don’t, cos everyone’s been accruing profit over time and then some new people might want to join, or people top up their pot, etc. We need ItalAussie to tell us how to do it fairly.
I’ve not got a solution, mind. Maybe withdraw the lot and start a fresh (obviously without fannying about actually withdrawing if people want to continue.

That's what I meant, everyone who wants withdraw and start a new one. Most of us lot will probs keep everything still in, there'll be some new faces, some of us will up our buy-in, I suspect we'll make up about half of that £6k at least.
You'd just work out what percentage of the pot each person owns, surely? So if Boydy - of course it's Boydy, fucking pussy - had 2.3% of the pot at the start, he would get 2.3% of whatever the pot is at whenever he wants to withdraw.
Well yeah my spreadsheet already has that (spot the outcast/person who doesn’t refresh it everyday at 10pm!) but I mean if people want to partially withdraw.
