Ireland's Assistant Manager fella.
Ireland's Assistant Manager fella.
Seeing as he’s only been in the job a few months I think he’d be known for numerous more things anyway. Coventry always comes to my mind. I’d expect that was more of a ‘phwoar’ move by Bam anyway though.
But yeah, he was assistant number 3 under the current management. Poisoned chalice.

Whats a 'phwoar' move?
'Phwoar' is the least funny thing in the history of this forum.
If it weren't for him commenting on Serena Williams being hot, I'd 100% have had Lewis down as asexual.
Man pumps weights. There's a lot more very very unsettling suspects for such tags.
Southampton signing some City BLM youth midfielder for 8 figures again. Niko called it, there's some serious creative accounting going on between those.
Jesus to Arsenal and Phillips to City BBC official.
Arsenal definitely riding high on the exciting [young] hope wave. It'll probably all come crashing down. Could be good though.
More importantly....
Finally, we get a signing done. Pleased with that, real high quality DM to sit deep in midfield.
Feels a bit pointless but he's obviously a good player and if Ten Hag wants him then who am I to disagree.
I know he's really good, but we clearly plan to persist with two sitting behind a 10. So if he wants a first choice spot he either needs to displace Bruno as the 10 (I am doubtful) or he needs to be one of the two sitting, which is definitely not going to be defensively sound enough.
So it's not that I don't rate him, I'm just not sure how he fits into the team. I can only see him as backup in the 10 role, which is fine but we should sell VDB in that case.

He used to play in a Modric role for Denmark didn't he? He might still, I don't keep that up to date with Danish internationals. He could do a job at CM, it just might mean his partner has to be even more defensive.
VDB must be a goner, surely? United clearly didn't rate him and his presence didn't exactly sort Everton out.
But (whatever actually ends up happening) the intention is clearly for De Jong to occupy one of those two slots. De Jong + Eriksen as the two does not seem anywhere near defensively sound enough.
Having said that, Schone (who partnered De Jong in the two at Ajax) was a winger or attacking midfielder prior to Ten Hag taking over there so perhaps De Jong + Eriksen is indeed the plan. Or maybe he intends to use Fernandes or Eriksen off the right, again similar to what he did at Ajax.
We shall see.
On VDB, he was great under Ten Hag at Ajax so the expectation has obviously been that he would be prepared to give him another shot at United but who knows.
Eriksen will play anywhere in the middle. It gives the midfield another outlet beyond Bruno Contributions.
Our Bruno will be a false nine with Erikson in the double pivot and the libero Phil Jones
Leeds lining up Sinisterra to replace Raphinha is a lovely bit of business.
He is a good player for free, and the shit 'depth' in that position has left, so it's a good signing.
Official.
Did Feyenoord lop off half a million euros for a mention in the announcement tweet? I bet they did.
Had they dropped it by another half they'd have gotten an @.
Apparently the hold-up on the De Jong deal is that he agreed with Barca to defer a large portion of his wages from the last two years - to help them through their financial struggles - to be paid as part of his wages over next three years.
Barca think that if they sell him now they don't have to pay him the deferred wages. He unsurprisingly does not agree.
They really are a bunch of crooks.
I was very worried about their prospects this season but Southampton signing any black man they can lay their hands on should have them safe.
Rapoport (NFL journalist) a new Tier 1 for Dortmund?
Sterling to Chelsea.
City shedding Sterling and Jesus is an interesting gamble.
Not sure how much store I would put in this part of the story:
Other major clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were also interested in Sterling but the player was swayed by Chelsea's public and privately stated desire to sign him.
They have brought in Haaland who should score more than both combined.
City have basically proven how much better it is to rely on 5 guys scoring 10 than 1 guy scoring 50.
What is their attacking line-up going to be? Foden, Grealish and Haaland?
More importantly, does this free up cash for them to sign Cucurella for Ł50m?
Tagliafico on offer from Ajax for fuck all to replace him seems a decent deal.
They bought the Alvarez bloke as well. He’s meant to be shit hot.
I’m sure they’ll be fine. Might break the 100 points mark this time.
Dylan Levitt HWG ✅
Liverpool apparently getting Ł17 million off Forest for Neco Williams is some black magic fuckery.
Isn't he less shit than he was now? Looked decent for Wales in their play-off games.
A home grown international right back bred in the famous Anfield boot room, seems fair to me.
I suppose they're just very good at acquiring and selling on undervalued players. Just had a quick look, about Ł110 million revenue over the past few seasons for Solanke, Ward, Ings, Grujic, Lovren, Brewster and Williams.
Same price as that guy from City above who no one has ever heard of.
Williams has almost as many international caps as he does senior club appearances, which seems a bit mad.
Brewster, Solanke and Ibe the proper con jobs.
Ibe was the truth
I guess Cooper probably had Williams in whatever team he coached when he was at Liverpool.
Probably Awonyi as well, if he was ever allowed to legally play in England. Did he ever get a work permit?
I hate to be all net spend but it looks like once again by the time incoming's and outgoings are done for the summer they aren't going to have actually spent that much which is always quite concerning when you can see a fairly major midfield shaped hole from a mile away.
We were 2 games away from a quad, whatever hole it is, it's about as insignificant as my anus.
I'm sure we're about at break even point now.
Thomma reckons Williams was decent without being outstanding for his lot on loan. They wanted to keep him but not for nearly that price.
We've signed Flynn Downes from Swansea, should be announced tonight for Ł9m.
Watch a few clips and he looks very good, can't really go wrong for that money anyway.
