Is he signing a deal with the devil?
Well that's this years Christmas thread spoiled now.
A seventeen year old at Blackpool wouldn't normally be leading the BBC page unless he had killed someone, which probably explains why anybody of a higher profile would keep it to themselves.
I almost fear he's a bit too young to really know what he's getting himself into.
Finding out that Spurs final game of the season is Norwich was a real downer.
I thought they couldn’t catch Arsenal anyway?
Yes and it doesn’t look like we’re winning tonight and Everton will be battling to stay up. Don’t start your Liverpool nonsense pls. We lost to Southampton, Brighton and Palace a month ago.
If I know Tottenham like I think I know Tottenham, they'll lose to Norwich anyway.
Also finishing 3rd in a two-horse race was special.
There’s no point in ever mentioning anything then seeing as everything is in the past.
Anyway here’s absolutely no point in bothering with you when you get like this though, so that’ll do me. The snarky bitch act is becoming far too common again.
See why I cared about who Spurs were playing now old man?
Huddersfield and Luton will be immediately relegated.
Arsenal have brought this on themselves for not wearing their red kit.
Ramsdale has kept us in this game. Just too many injuries and fucking up those 3 games killed the season.
What has the ref done to Arsenal tonight then?
Injuries have obviously hindered Arsenal, but, at the end of the day, they have too many bang average players to be thinking about being in the Champions League, without any real talismanic figures to pull them into it. Spurs probably not an awful lot better, but Kane and Son shoulder a burden of work that Saka et al can't really match.
Having to play the likes of Cedric and Elneny a major red flag.
Pepe is also just one of those club killing signings that can happen when you're grasping to be part of the elite. He's so bad.
Gonna go sit on a bench drink an extra strength polish lager and listen to linkin park.
Ramsdale seems very good, Martinelli, Saka and ESR fall into the high potential but yet to see it consistently category and you can pretty much bin the rest.
Just seen that we can beat Everton 17-0 and get in the CL. ITS STILL ON.
Really is a great bottle job. There's just no backbone to the team. When the going gets tough they play at a League One standard. Even that is generous on Auba who was playing pub level football before he got out.
Tierney is good but can’t stay fit. Tomiyasu is quality but constantly rushed back from injury because the backup is awful. Partey Takes 800 matches to regain match fitness. Ødegaard is good but needs the team to work for him to work. We literally won’t have a single striker next year. Both defenders are good and Saliba just won Ligue 1 player of the season. Is a matter of turning an 11 man squad into a 19.
Odegaard had his moments too. (as Phonics has said. I should've got this post up instead of switching tabs for ten minutes) Spurs have way more to offer, though. Kane and Son are dependable, Kulusevski's improved the midfield, too. And they have Bergwijn to come off the bench. Forever.
It's the manner of it. They go through periods of being able to dismantle teams like Chelsea, showing the quality is there, and then take 0 points from 3 games against Southampton, Brighton and Palace or whatever it was. Absolute shambles.
You'd have taken 5th at the start of the season, but in reality they should have finished top 4, and would have if they didn't have numerous periods of playing like a side who should be relegated.
I would have taken 7th. As I say the average age of the squad is years younger than anyone around their quality. Inconsistency is to be expected.

‘You should have finished 4th and also played like a team who should be relegated’ is just absolute idiot talk.
The point is they are going to miss out by 2 points, despite having the awful spell at the start of the season and that diabolical 3 game spell not long ago, plus the past 2 games where they've played like absolute shite. Maybe they've over achieved based on pre-season expectations but there's no chance they should have missed out from the position they got themselves into, and the only reason they have is because they keep having these spells of 3-4 games where they just don't bother to turn up.
The squad definitely needs strengthening, there's no argument there, but it's just ridiculously frustrating to see them slip up so badly so many times and still be so close.
As for the inconsistency, everyone around them has thrown some in. Conte spent chunks of the season looking like a man one phone call from death, West Ham eventually settled for a much more sensible position, United are a complete shambles and Chelsea have struggled to put sides away. Outside of the top two, it's up for grabs.
So what you’re saying is that 4th would have been overachieving?
Lofty went to the defence of Nketiah the other day as if he wasn't Franny Jeffers with a heavy tan. Arteta and that entire team are just pure frauds.
Almost like it wouldn’t be a bottle job.
I'd hardly call it a defence, more just an easy way to bait you.
A team of pure frauds that were tipped to finish 8th and finished above a United team that reinforced with a load of megastars
The main issue is the lack of depth outside the first choice 11. Striker is a problem regardless but they were getting around that until injuries had them drafting in El Neny, Cedric and Tavares in key positions. Turns out when four of your players are nowhere near good enough it drags the team down somewhat. Never mind the likes of Pepe etc.
I genuinely believe if decent strikers are signed, and maybe a first choice midfielder to replace Xhaka (finally!) Then next season will be a lot better, but it is contingent on having a bench that isn't 'kids and people we want to leave'.
They were tipped to finish eighth, but have been less shit than United, Leicester, and West Ham have dropped right off, so they have ended up fifth with less than seventy point. I'm not sure it proves anything either way.
Well, except that This Summer is Massive for *team in question*.
Squad depth/age/potential keep getting thrown about as some defence. You had the highest spend in the entire league and there's very little achieved for all of it in 12 months.
Tavares, Lokonga, Odegaard. These are not serious players so you've wasted the season. Saka, ESR and Martinelli under a top manager would have pulled up trees this season.
They all cost less than Adam Lallana?
