I was just about to look for that.
Would love to see it become Americanised as fuck, team relocations and all. Seeing as the brits can't even bear a reference that there might be some historical European influence on the sport, it would be hilarious.
Don't the yanks have a bit of a hard on for that weird horse and cart racing [or is that just Australians]? Maybe they could get a bit of that into the weekend.
Up next the foalmula 3 race.
"And now figure 8 racing from Suzuka."
I'm not against US races at all. I'm against ugly tracks on the eye. Not seen Miami yet so hard to judge
Shame they can't bring back the Glen in autumn/'fall', that was a looker.
Mercedes look marginally less shit here.
Watkins Glen.
Will never happen. Impossible to build the 200 meters runoff needed after every corner. Then again, this street circuits are tight as fuck, so why not.
Even better, use the old Glen circuit, turn it into another street race.
Reminds me that I damaged a wheel while driving down the old course on my way to get gasoline. The bump I hit would have sent an F1 car into orbit.
This kicks off in a half hour, right?
In thirty minutes.
Russel's car was all over the place. The Ferraris look so strong in the fast corners.
If that is what my money went to, I am not unhappy.
I hope nobody celebrated their qualy position, very disrespectful.
That grid walk was an absolute car crash. By the end he was over the moon just to find Jean Alesi.
Which wall will Latifi finish in then?
Could yer man not see the huge DRS active on the screen there?
Feels like Sainz kind of gave away that second position for free there. Didn't want to risk anything after the recent nightmares I guess.
DRS overtake. Exciting.
It was pretty evident by Friday night that this wouldn’t be the best race. Need a thunderstorm or Latifi to do what he does best.
I have full confidence in one of those things.
Stroll also being close to other cars has potential.
This is atrocious. Road Atlanta next year, please.
Maybe something will happen now.
Super Max is going to retire with 10+ championships
Alex Albon.
Who’s this gobshite doing the interviews?
Hamilton is still not even halfway to the 15 he was penciled in for in the immediate aftermath of his first [might have been 10 actually].
That was a spectacularly boring race.
More people should have gambled on the full safety car [they were never going to clear that under a VSC] but even then Ocon didn't seem to be up to much on new softs in those last laps.
Stupidly high tyre degradation [a la Canada in the not too distant past] is what is needed.
Perez also should have had a considerable advantage there, but it didn't look like it apart from like a lap or so.
Also, what was Mick Schumacher crying like a spoiled child about [that was MY corner!] after he t-boned Vettel?
He had engine issues for a couple of laps before the safety car and they told him to change whatever setting it was and it seemed to have been fixed. I think what happened is he decided to play safe after that close shave with Sainz. He was really pressuring him up to that point, so either he sustained some tyre damage there or saw himself ending up the same way as Leclerc in the previous race and stopped pushing.

Sainz bottled that first corner. Fair play to VER for spending his first 2 years smashing into people - now every one just moves out the way for him.
No way was Sainz daring to risk another DNF. Max knew that.
Got to be among the top five worst tracks to be added to the calendar in the past 20-25 years. Can't think of many worse – Valencia, Sochi, Losail and Paul Ricard are/were all pretty bad.
If you thought Miami was bad the next two races will be an absolute joy for you.
If they binned that shit chicane in Catalunya then it could be alright there.
I fucking love Monaco. It has so many detractors these days but the whole vibe of it is so old-world beautiful that I couldn't care less if there wasn't a pass for the full race distance.
I love the whole build up, the FP, then quali.... It's usually lap 3 of the race that I think "fuck me, it's Monaco isn't it..." and proceed to open Youtube.
I've grown to loathe Monaco a bit, but when I think about it the reason is definitely the cars themselves. They're just so fucking huge now that they might as well race HGVs round there. I used to love it back in the V10 (even V8) days because even without OVERTAKING™, they just looked so awesome hoying the agile cars between the barriers.
Monaco was/is alright because Monaco, mate, so we endured one boring street circuit because history. Modern street circuits have no history (or look good) so they are just shit.
There have been some great Monaco GPs, too. 82, 84, 92, 96, even 97. Maybe that era of car suited it better.
The cars are too big for it to be anything more than a procession, all the more reason to make more of qualifying because pole almost guarantees the win. The race is bad and the only one I don't bother watching.
Presumably we have all already entered this competition to win.... A cork.
$40 for some foam ear plugs says it all.
They take them out before the podium too so you win some actual rubbish that nobody of consequence has been anywhere near.
