Has being burnt changed your perspective on this Lewis?
I expected to make about thirty quid, so I'm not feeling overly 'burnt', but I'm less inclined to throw more in.
I'll be in for another £100.
I'll be relatively happy if it's worth £140 after 12 months, as that'd still be better than any alternative investment I could be bothered to find, so definitely don't feel there's any pressure coming from me.
So are you 'trusting your gut' or being pragmatic with a process?
Lewis is right. No max, but anything silly won't be accepted. We just need a decent starting point. There's not really much difference between 3k and 4k when you're trying to multiply an account this many times. Anything sub 2kish becomes difficult though and probably not worth the time/have to take big unprotected risk to try and gain an initial boost.
As for inclination to throw money in, completely understood and that is obviously entirely people's prerogative. All I will do is reiterate we made it 1/7th of the way to 70kish for the £100ers, without tearing up any trees, whilst working full time, and simply statistically speaking if we rolled the dice X amount of times eventually it would land. Just depends on your tolerance for potentially throwing money away in search of, say, no fucking mortgage.
Personally, and I know this won't happen, I would like everyone back in as I want an opportunity to fix what was essentially, as difficult as this is to do, still my fuck up.
But I'll leave it a couple of days, see what kind of interest we get, then make a call on how we approach it. If it's sub 1k then it needs to be Binance heavy leverage (with stop losses). 3k maybe go again as we were before. Anything in between, we'll have a brainstorm and figure out the best way to approach.
This reads like the familiar diaries of a gambling addict.
Another thing that fucked us in hindsight was doing so well when trialing options on the demo account. x10ing an account in a week blinded me to the risks. It was bad luck to get smashed so hard on the first 'real' run, but the whole point is being guarded against that bad luck when it inevitably happens.
Trading is more about making sure you don't lose when in the market, then when you catch one make hay.
Nah, I'm good.
I was expecting to never see my money again, which happened. I was also expecting some entertainment though, which didn't really happen, so I am OUT.
I'll go again.
Im went back to try and understand what is going on and I have no fucking idea.
I want in.
Those who didn't have faith and want in this time have to pay double.
Hasn't everybody already done that?
I'd be in at the same price.
Mugs.
I'll be back in, fuck it why not.
I've found my mojo and I'm doing well by myself at the moment (and keeping 100% of it), so I'm going to sit this one out lads. Me doing so should ensure you are all billionaires by next month. You're welcome.
If Spikey was in we'd be getting 0% of his cut, the same as the 0% we're getting if he isn't.
Count me in for another £100

Terms:
- I’ll drop my rate to 35%. Your stake is protected between account opening figure and when you break profit. In exchange for 35% I will withdraw a wage of £2,600 per month from 15th June provided we have broken 12.6k by that stage and remain above that figure
- Please PM me with your stake. This will be private between you and myself. I expect we’ll start with lower capital, but in return you will have a larger percentage of the account
- PayPal rather than bank account. I had some aggro from the bank last time, as Mexicans and quasi-Kraut bankers were sending me unexplained sums of money simultaneously
Target is to get rolling by Tuesday. If you need to wait for payday or whatever, let me know in the PM and we can possibly be flexible.
Cheers.
Blind stakes. Love it. Yev will be worried about somebody getting poorer than him.
My money is on Yev putting down £5k.
Let me have a think on stake but I'm defo in.
Get sucked in by another internet get rich quick scheme?
Count me in.
You could've all had a £100 pepper mill if you hadn't done this. Makes you think.
It'll be aggressive. It has to be. Don't want anyone to lose sight of this. But moving away from options removes the possibility of pretty much wiping out in a day. So revert back to controlled aggression. I'm starting to sway back toward Binance too. That gives us more scope for quick growth in a structured way (stop losses with high leverage). There may be tax implications, but as we said when discussing it last time, that's a nice problem to have, and if we go big we can explore whatever avenues work best.
I'm thinking on it. Arguments against are numerous. Arguments in favour are basically FOMO.
I'll go in. O captain, my captain
It was sodding Revolut too, set up with sole intention of not getting my main bank account blocked due to crypto. They are pretty open with what you can and can't do, but still ended up with a restricted account
With that in mind, do not send money to account previously used unless I say so. IG accepts PayPal, whilst Binance is blocked by certain UK banks (including my main one), so I'd probably need another burner account for that. I'll figure out the details tomorrow and get some substance behind it.
Jim, you like value. The odds are good. I think one million as a first target is reasonable and achievable (I know). 1/6th of way to 1.7mil last time on first run. £3,700 to reach 1.7 mil are odds of 459/1 (without the bookies cut). It's difficult to quantify, but we're far, far, far shorter than that. I think about 20/1, admittedly based on very little other than instinct and perceived probability. Let's go.
Been getting a plan together over the weekend, which is as follows:
- The bank account used previously is back up and running (proof of earnings were required), so accepting transfers into that or PayPal from now. No cap, but be sensible. The risks were made pretty clear last time. Just takes one bad day when being so aggressive
- Binance futures is out the game now for UK residents, because someone's gotta sweep the chimneys, so we'll go IG and pick up on the strategy used originally. No tax. No options
- Closes Wednesday evening. Want to get things moving, but will accept requests for extentions if you need a few days for whatever reason
- Appreciate there's some scepticism after last time, so if we don't clear 2k I'll reimburse everyone as it's not worth pursuing, unless people want to go big on risk to pump the account into a workable position. Or I might buy more of the split myself. See how we look on Weds and discuss, but there looks to be good interest, so hopefully should be irrelevant
Cheers.
Please publish the full stakes of each member once it ends.
Down to the participants if they want to disclose. No skin off my nose. Early signs of a healthy account are good. People offering up a few hundred, but there's been nothing daft. Might end up in the range of previous account, or even surpass, with a bit of a push.
Broke a grand boys. Good stuff. Keep firing in.
Right, fess up people. Who has put in and how much?
I've said I'll do £50 although I might up it to £100.
How's the bot doing @Baz?
Max stake so far is £500, Yev. Won't say who. No one has put in under £100 yet, so if you could round it up Mahow that would be great, even just for ease of calculating percentage assigned to each person. If not that's fine too. Everyone has sent to PayPal so far, so may be better to use that. Don't have 100% confidence that account won't get temporarily blocked again. May be more hassle than it's worth.
Edit: If you're using my PayPal for the first time, PM me and I will forward address.
