Piss doesn't come any more pissier.
Apart from Fosters.
Had a few ginger old fashions at the local indian. Superb.
Ordered my Dad one of these for his birthday:
Complete with nerdy spreadsheet to choose 2 little kegs.

Went with Voodoo Ranger and Puntigamer to ease them in gently.![]()

Ordered a San Miguel. Got a Brewdog. Annoyed.
Not been buying much of late, but was recently tasked with buying some sort of beer gift for a friend who has broken both his arms and then had his op to fix them thwarted by covid.
Ordered a 6 nations wild beer thing off beerhawk as he's into his rugby and they've delivered here in the past.
Got a customs note today saying I had to pay £13 import duty, so slightly fuming.
Just opened the box and they've sent me a 12 pack of Wild Beer Bibble IPA which I neither ordered nor paid for, so less fuming.
Was looking at that set the other day in the off licence. I'm hoping O'Haras release the coffee red ale at some stage on its own.
Yeah, I thought of you when I saw the O'Haras collaboration.
Sort of minded to gut half out and just give him 6 [rather than 12].![]()
I’m gonna try my hand at making some mead, after discussing it for the 100th time with a bloke from work yesterday.
Undecided whether my first batch should just be plain honey, or should I add some fruit to the mix. Any fruit suggestions welcomed.
Previously he’s done cherry, raspberry, blackberry, cinnamon & fig, and some others I’ve forgot. I was thinking pineapple but obviously it’s already super sweet cos of the honey, so not sure.

I haven't had a lot of mead but would it work with something citrusy to cut through the sweetness a little? I assume that's similar to what some of the berry ones will do as they'll be a bit tart.
Well I got some passion fruit and some tutti fruity flavoured grapes. Use both for mead or just the passion fruit and eat the grapes?![]()

I have no clue what those grapes would be like.![]()
Morrisons do cotton candy ones and they're fucking horrific. My wife got a verbal warning for buying them.
They just taste like grapes. False advertising.
The passion fruit smelled amazing when I was scooping it out to freeze, so I think I’ve made a good choice. Went and got some local honey before (2kg) and a 5L bottle of spring water so it’s all systems go tomorrow so long as Wilko has some wine yeast in stock and I can find a balloon.

Got myself a load of wacky American beers for tonight. Fully expecting them to be shite so got a backup crate of pilsner.
I've got a handful of dark stuff then I'll probably just hit the gin.
Just had a Mai Tai so chances of me surviving until the game are slim. On the upside, think I have a decent working recipe now.
I know we’re all big fans of Brewdog in here.
1. Visit the Brewdog website
2. Register for an account or login to your existing account
3. Click ‘Become a Member’ to join Planet Brewdog
4. Add this specific 4-pack of Hazy Jane to your basket.
5. Checkout. You just have to pay £1.95 postage for four cans of beer.

Worked for me, although I didn't click the links.
Might try and create a few more accounts.
Yeah, worked again.![]()
Just had a Bluestone Al Fresco Hazy IPA which was decent, if a little on the sour spectrum for me, and a Gras & Graan [Brouwerij de Molen] which sold itself as 'Crystal NEIPA-ish', but definitely had what I would call a classically Belgian flavour. It was rather good.
I have been on decent but interesting pales so far. Siren are mega though so an unremarkable beer from them is still invariably very drinkable.
You've tempted me to crack open a Lumina.

I've had this before and having it tonight. It is mega.
Got a Siren darks box and it has two of these in it.
It's actually fucking gorgeous.
In terms of drinkability ABV means basically nothing in the hands of a good brewery these days.
What've you got?
The Nitro Broken Dream is beautiful stuff.
Yep. From the website
Their stuff is readly available here in Martins in the capital. I'll keep an eye out.
I'm sure I've said this before but I spent quite a long time sort of taking Siren for granted. They're rightly among my favourite breweries now.

I never liked their really weird takes on stout but the basic ones are better than anywhere.
Yeah the Bones of a Sailor I mentioned earlier is basically just them making the best standard porter they can. No frills, no fancy flavours, and very good.

Another banger.
My free Hazy Jane arrived, so just opened one.
I might need to get in about this: https://www.sirencraftbrew.com/item/...e-Pairing.html
Had a rare trip to Sainsburys this morning so treated myself to Fierce Maple Pancake and Tiny Rebel Pineapple Express IPA.

Picked up some Paulaner Müncner Hell, nice enough.
I've started off with an apple saison from The Kernel and it's very decent.
