I liked the fact that they had to ram home the fact Vicky McClure's character was am absolute maverick by having her put shades on twice in the opening minute.

That Sheridan Smith ITV effort (No Return) is offensively bad. Genuinely terrible. All involved should be ashamed.
Watched the second season of Space Force, after seeing that it got quite good reviews, and while it was better than the first one, it generally still felt mediocre, especially given the talent on screen.
Once I seen the VR signature bit that Netflix show as the preview, I vowed never.

You fucking what?
bit that, not but they. I was autocorrected.
What, you can watch Space Force in VR?
I didn't know Netflix were doing any VR stuff.
Top Boy is back
Top Boy has tempted me on many occasion.
It's fantastic. I never watched the summerhouse stuff but the Netflix series was top top top boy.
It's decent enough, but it's not fantastic. I would pay to watch a live stream of Giggles watching it though.
I watched it recently too and thought it was ok, but not as good as the first season. To me it lacked an overarching narrative which the previous one had. I'm kinda hopeful after the teaser at the end though, and as you say the cast is pretty top notch and I like a lot about it.
Reacher was great by the way - highly recommend that. Also, The Marvellous Mrs Maisel current series has been great.
The retardation on display in "The Tinder Swindler" is breathtaking. I don't know why I'm wasting my time working when it's that easy.
Lost interest about halfway through Picard.
This is Going to Hurt was superb butToggle Spoiler

Spoilers?
Fair.
No I meant what do you mean by them ruining it? I've watched it and don't know what you're talking about.

It's on iPlayer. Wait for the Netflix release or just watch episode 6 when it's shown on TV.
I had the very odd feeling this week, as I read Bob Mortimer's autobiography 'And Away...' (decent read, quite funny, 4/5), that I was reading about all these shows he did which are apparently national treasures / cult comedies, yet I only know him from his Would I Lie To You appearances and his fishing programme. I've always had the vague knowledge of '(Reeves and) Mortimer' as a thing, but never had any clue what he was really famous for. I guess the bulk of his work was in the 90s, which was just before my time in terms of watching comedy shows on tv, but it seems odd that I've never encountered any of the shows on late night re-runs.
Any of his sketch shows worth going back to or are they all a bit of a time?
I think they're more of a very particular style than of a time (blackface aside). Picking five minutes of any of Big Night Out/Smell of/Bang Bang will tell you if it's for you or not, Shooting Stars otherwise is probably the most accessible thing they've done as a pair.
Shooting Stars was brilliant, no idea if it still holds up though.
Unscripted Mortimer is levels above scripted Mortimer.
Well worth a watch on Taskmaster, in more modern times.

Has Mr Beans cuck fucked off yet?
Ted Lasso is good, but it's not that good and certainly doesn't warrant it's 8.9(!) rating on IMDB.
Is it something the Yanks are finding hilarious as an INSIGHT in to the great British culture?
Life and Death in the Warehouse on BBC3 was good.
I watched The Boys Presents: Diabolical today and the episodes seem to veer from shit to a bit better than alright. The last episode is the best but it seems to stop just short of being something good, hopefully what they covered in that episode is developed in the actual show.
Gave Top Boy a go based on the praise here, enjoyed 'series 1' only to find out that is actually series 3 and Netflix labelled it wrong
Yeah, the original channel 4 ones are "Top Boy:
Summerhouse", I think. I've not seen it but heard good things elsewhere too. Might give it a go.
Been watching ITV's The Ipcress File (it's all available on ITV Hub) and enjoying it. Think I've got two more left.
I haven't, no.
Final season of The Last Kingdom out tonight. Cracking show if you like GoT-type stuff
Watched Our House (ITV drama) the initial intrigue was promising and the story was quite nicely built, however...

I had to ditch Last Kingdom when
Toggle Spoilercos it just wasn’t the same.

I think it got curtailed a bit due to COVID
I realized starting the first episoode of the new season that I hadn't seen season 4, and I don't know if I can be bothered. I hate the main guys accent, the intro thing they do with "I am Uhtred son of Uhtred" just gets me annoyed every episode.
Romesh v Sierra Leone is well worth a watch.
Ya, those Romesh shows are good.
Anyone watch Chloe? Aesthetically it looked nice and started off well but my God was it a pain to finish after about 2 episodes in. Too many of these modern shows think just filling them with ethnics, nice locations/properties and sex/drugs/socials is job done. Will give Mood a go next.
The Jeremy Kyle documentary was pretty wild.
