40-50% reduction in spread. So what? Lots of vaccinated people are still catching and spreading it and it's already spreading in the community anyway.
What does severity matter? I am just as likely to spread it if I have mild or severe Covid.
What is the purpose of denying unvaccinated people access to societies that have fully rolled out the vaccine? To protect the vaccinated from the unvaccinated? Lol.

A country has a responsibility to protect it's citizens, including those who decided not to get vaccinated, or those couldn't for whatever reason. Therefore, it seems incredibly reasonable for a country to require a non-citizens to have had the vaccine to enter, therefore, reducing the risk to their citizens.
Perhaps I'm missing something, because this seems like really obvious stuff to me.
Here's some stats regarding UK:
Moderately strong positive correlation (0.4500678) at local authority level between current case rates and vaccination rates.
Moderately strong negative correlation (-0.4641396) at local authority level between current case rates and previous infection rates.
Basically vaccines are doing nothing to stifle transmission; the only way to end the pandemic is through mass infection. Vaccines are almost exclusively of benefit to the person receiving it, rather than also protecting those around you. If healthcare is under no threat of being completely overwhelmed, then mandating a vaccine to do certain things in society doesn't sit right with me. If people want to take their chances of being infected without vaccine protection, that's on them. But to have the choice is vital.
The government of Novakstan are inundated with citizenship applications and have announced a 3 month delay in responses as a result.
My main argument against vaccine mandates is that 'Do this or else' isn't convincing anyone to turn. Catching the virus and winding up in intensive care does more than a vaccine mandate ever will.
I can’t catch Covid for the 2nd time for the life of me. I’ve never actually tested positive as the first time I didn’t bother going for a PCR as it was way back when everything was in lockdown and I worked from home anyway. Only reason im pretty confident in having it was losing smell and taste for a few days.
Im definitely catching it the start of April for when I go on my med cruise
I've still never had it.
Likewise. Does it even exist? Who can be sure.
I've heard it's actually the flu
It's similar, but the Flu is nasty for everyone, not just the vulnerable and Scottish WiFi Technicians.

Gotta use those current and on order full price vaccines up.
I'm still testing positive on day 7 not having had symptoms since day 2, and very bored of it now. I went to the shop earlier for some milk, in flagrant contempt for Queen and country. Might just go back to work tomorrow.
Jesus Jim, what happened to "if my government tell me to do something, I'll do it"?
Looks like I added some terms and conditions.
Im disappointed.
Infect the power structure. Seize the means of production.
They'll be looking to siphon the vaccine from their bodies soon.
Tested neg and back in the office, thank fuck. The air is sweet and clear.
I "tested negative" as well Jim.
5-11 year old being offered. Massive arguments with the ex ahoy.
Great way to open up some new opportunities for promotion by wiping out the old codgers
Those bungs might disappear fast.
Is there a financial incentive for surgeries to offload flu jabs? Had mine in September through work, surgery called me today for the third time to offer me one despite me explaining everytime 'completed it mate'. Had one every year since I had pneumonia at uni.
Come on Lofty, you know pharmaceutical products have nothing to do with revenue or profit.
Another limp lunged cunt.
It's probably all about the sweet sweet money rather than say, poor IT systems.
It obviously will be on this occasion, but I'd never want to miss an opportunity to correct someone thinking otherwise. It is NEVER about the money when it comes to pharmaceutical companies - they do it all for the love of humanity and never overstep that boundary for profit.
Volume targets to hit.
The "somehow" is presumably because you're not too thick to have the vaccine.
Don't think I'll be getting my 5 to 11 year olds vaccinated unless not doing so becomes a ballache in other fields (travel etc). It seems monumentally unnecessary and I'm not entirely sure what the underlying rationale would be. All of the learning to live with it stuff can be equally achieved by just fucking the whole thing off and treating it the same as any other respiratory virus. I could probably be convinced if they came up with a nasal flu type equivalent delivery system.
It's very good that it's not mandatory, but if people want their kids to have one then fine that should be their call. If I had kids (a hard one to imagine, so how could I really know) I doubt I'd do it as as you say, it presents so little risk. Thinking back to the conversation with RL the other day, if COVID was causing heart (or any) problems in kids we'd know about it and it doesn't stop transmission, so there's very little reason left to do it when factoring in the risks.
My little one had to have a blood test last year and it took 3 of us to hold her still while she screamed the roof off the building. A virus would have to be pose atleast a moderate threat for me to go through that ordeal. Never mind this bollocks, which she has lolled at twice. Especially
when the vaccine is atleast as "dangerous" as the illness in her age group.
Nah.
I'm no expert but it just makes no sense to me.
I imagine it's for the parents that have been on social media declaring it DISGUSTING that Tilly-Mae and Tyler-Tyler are being left AT RISK.
Uptake will be less than 50% and you'd hope they just leave well enough alone. Pushy headteachers will be the real problem now.
I'd give it to the daughter but I'm a genocidal maniac.
I'm sure my sister's thrilled about convincing the bairn to go stay still for the jab. He bounced off it after an afternoon so I'd fancy the kid's chances against a future wave.
Covid levels in ICU's are at a 7 month low, lads. And they'll keep going down. The thread will get archived in summer.

I don't know what is more lol. Lofty portrayed as a sasquatch or Magic portrayed as a tall, muscular human.
