That black/monkey comment is a weird one to contribute as a third party to it.
It's a load of bollocks.
Dumb bitch. Imagine getting a 70 eth ape for 2 eth and crying about it.
There must be more to this than how he explains it.
Watch them sell it for twice that in a few years. The world is insane.
Man, I wish I was rich enough to not own stuff.
I wonder what the cheapest brand is you could realistically own? Is it still somehow Atari?
I'll sell you my image rights for a couple of grand.
How would you feel about small-headed public signs like the ones for men's toilets and marked exits?
I worry people would think they're those dickhead upside-down exclamation marks the Spaniards use.
When’s this Red Sea going to bottom?
I’ve said I’d buy some smith and newphew at <1232 and it’s all the way down at 1213. I’ve fancied them for a while and I’ve put off buying shares for too long, but are we in for continued dipping with Ukraine and inflation?
S&N and relx are the ones I fancy to hold for a few years (based on entirely amateur hour but feels).
Annoying too, as I attempted to sell (a small amount) of my company shares a 4.00 and missed it by about half an hour and it’s just kept sliding ever since. Down nearly ten percent.
I am poor now. Hopefully this bust is followed by a boom so that I can be rich instead.
By any traditional measure the market is still massively over valued. Add on to that ridiculous Inflation and interest rates that the government can't increase, because of the sheer amount of debt they've amassed, and it's all a bit shit.
I can't see a way that this doesn't end in a recession / depression.
There will be a lot of daft people who banked on stupid things during the pandemic, too.
it's worth noting that BTC now has a 0.41 correlation coefficient with the S&P500 up from 0.1 this past september.
also, this:
Everything fucking rose today. I needed the share price to drop 1% to buy S&N and instead it went up 2 or 3%.
On the cusp of selling more company shares though, which would be good.
Turns out I set it to buy and I did actually buy £5k worth at that current price. Oops.
At least it has (sort of) risen since then.
Sold £1200 worth of my gaff too and timed it perfectly. Hit heavy resistance at my sell point and has been on a downward trajectory since.
Might shove that £1200 (and some into rolls Royce if it tools around 110).

That was meant to be a post quote. Rather than an edit. Fitting.
Can't remember at the time if it was in here or THE GROUP where I said 1680 trade of the year. Might be trade of the decade. This is a monthly chart spanning back to previous highs of 2012. Starting to break some very important resistance levels. Throw the current economic situation into the mix and you have potential for a serious breakout (needs to take and hold above the high from August 2020).
Obviously if anyone is to play it then manage your risk with position sizing and/or stop losses. If the breakout fails it's potentially a very, very long way down. But if it does break it could potentially never return to these levels and you can add size as you go along and use as a long term investment.
Edit: Trade of the year/decade may be wild exaggerations when BTC/GME/all other obscene madness is ongoing, but could be pretty fucking decent.

Given the news being released over the weekend about imminent invasion threats, are you expected a cash out scenario next week?
I’m expecting more red and if there is a scare can imagine people lumping into energy firms, food/water and bae systems (defence).
I’ve got pretty modest stakes in the grand scheme of things in S&N and RR. Think I’ll hold both but if there is a market dip I’ll be pouncing this time around after missing the covid dip being unprepared.
Or maybe you’re right, and people seek shelter in gold..
Semi circle on chart go VROOOOOM.
In all seriousness, cash out on gold? Or markets generally? There will be a move on Ukraine on your usual suspects you’d imagine, but trading news like that isn’t my thing so tbh I’ve no fucking idea. What I do know is in the the entire 18 month bull market was driven on stimulus. Everything else bar vaccine news was borderline irrelevant. Now that tapering is on the agenda, especially in the US which is completely off grid, it is/was time for a retrace. So how big an effect Ukraine will have with that major driver in the background I’m not sure.
The key to gold is it managed to pretty much maintain its position throughout the bull run, which you can see in the handle on the right hand side of the chart. There’s all sorts of other weird and wonderful bullshit which I think is confirmation, hence the post in here rather than the group, but I’m on my work phone 5 hours into a 12 hour night shift, so that will have to do. But it is a renowned safe haven, yes.
Having said that, after the rip last week you want to avoid buying too high, so a mid to long term timeframe 200MA touch would be a decent entry (depending on momentum and signals at point of contact). But like I say, have nothing in front of me right now, so just speculating.
Lads,
Binance will be blocking UK customers as of, without checking, May (17th?) in an effort to become FCA regulated. This is of course morally dubious and an indictment of the UK government and banking system, but I'm not here for that. I'm here because...
This is a pain in the arse for me as they have a leveraged account which maxes out at 125%, which combined with pretty substantial moves (1% move and you more than double your account) means I'm convinced that if you have enough swings from £100 and a bit of skill, you could build that up to a substantial number very, very quickly.
Full disclosure, I have already blown one account trying this (£100 deposit). You may lose whatever you put in and there are no guarantees this will end as well as it potentially could. I am liable to lapses in concentration, just like anyone, and at that leverage you can be punished very quickly.
Further disclosure, I could put up this capital myself. I could go all in and swing for it, but I don't want too because this is extremely risky and I would rather start from a lower base. The whole point of this post is I want to share some of the risk and forsake some profit in return.
So the plan. I'll be going £100 again, which Offy is matching. In return he gets 50% of his stake back. So if we reach 100k I'll take 75k, he'll take 25k. So obviously this is beneficial for us both if it goes to plan. If it fails, I take less of a hit and we both lose £100.
Now the big sell, I've been practising this for 2 years and have become very good at it. I make consistent (but slow) profits on an account with smaller leverage and less risk. Also, and this is the exciting bit, I've trialled this once already. I went from £100 to £1,000 in 4 days. That is 25% of the way to a million on the first run. Lessons have been learnt and I understand where I failed. So a repeat of that performance would equal £250 for Offy. A repeat of the performance twice over would equal £2,500 for Offy. A repeat of that performance x3 would equal £25,000 for Offy. And it goes wherever it goes until Binance fucks us all off.
Now I know those figures sound obscene, but my strategy is to trade a percentage of capital in the account and scale into positions. Once you get momentum this can compound pretty quickly and a move from £100 to £1,000 takes the same amount of time as a move from £1,000 to £10,000. And I now know each step is achievable in a minimum of 4 days.
So, I want your money and to share the risk with yourselves. Investment of min £20 and max £100. I don't want to be risking any more of anyone's money than that and anything below £20 isn't worth the hassle. You are entitled to 50% profit of whatever you invest and I will take the other half of your investment. I will detail full account size with all contributions and each person's percentage of the account from the start. This percentage will obviously not change and you have the right to withdraw that percentage at any stage. Daily updates on account size and the days trades. Should be able to put 2 hours a day in, so plenty of scope for one to two big moves per day. Plan is to start on Thursday, as my shifts change and I can accommodate 2 hours per day more effectively. After Thursday the offer closes, as integrating investments once the account has started moving will become too complex.
Anyone interested? If we have enough takers I'll start a thread.
I'll join.
So how much do you reckon we could make from 100 quid?

Convicted criminal starts get rich quick scheme.
Interested.
I'll give you 100 rollercoins.
Would anyone be interested in a bot that you leave running constantly and it autotrades and makes you money? People seem to pay serious dollar for it but I’m happy to share it for free, on the proviso you use my referral to sign up to the broker of course.
For transparency, it uses a free programme called MetaTrader 4 (I’ll supply the plugins that make the magic happen) and you need an ICMarkets account.
It requires initial investment of any size - soz I don’t know the minimum investment but Google sez $200 . I set it up last night with 1k and made £6.54 in 9 hours. You literally just leave it running. You can even do it with a Remote Desktop if you don’t have a dedicated machine.
The maths I’ve seen is if you put 5k in, in 2 years you should have 300k, so not quite as profitable as Mellin but not bad for no effort
PM if you want.
I'm a twit
This thread is gonna be archived as an exhibition of the cost of living crisis.
Free money you say?
There's zero fucking chance that's going to be able to outplay the actual algo traders (size, speed) and you're just going to be locked into a position and lose it all quickly.
Real time editing.
How are you sorting out your tax liability from the free money?
There's a bot that pays the tax for you.
