Isolation debate:
My wife’s symptoms started this morning (the 12th) and she tested positive this morning. Is today day 1 of isolation? Test and Trace told her it’s technically ‘day 0’ and she won’t be out until the 23rd. But that makes for 11 days of isolation including today, which seems a bit stupid.
Just leave when she tests negative or 10 days from now
Roll her a zoot and explain to her a cold isn't gonna kill her and she isn't a hero.
I'm fucking superman. I'm like the opposite of 'what doesn't kill me makes me stronger' 'i am weak therefore I cannot be killed'
I'd enjoy phonics dying more than Giggles.
The best death of all for you would be the sweet release of your own demise.

So are they taking them forever now?
It says they're giving them to patients, so they'll stop when they're better. It's an Antiviral the same as TamiFlu which they gave me after I caught Swine Flu back in 2009, after an interview at Birmingham Airport.
Hopefully, unlike TamiFlu, it actually does something. Load of shit that was. Swine Flu was brutal.
What the
Always knew Spikey was the type to roll around in his own shit.
Swine Flu crew represent. I was never given any treatment, though it sounds like I didn't miss much.
Those first 3 days was the sickest I've ever been. Couldn't move from my bed and only woke up whenever my mum came in to top up my paracetamol. After that it was great - I just sat at home on my own and played FM all day.
More or less the same, although FM was replaced by Bully, which I played on the battered old PS2 I took to Uni with me.
My overriding memory of Swine Flu was trying to get out of bed on the first day, only to fall to the floor in a heap. That and sweat. Lots and lots of sweat.
I've got the Rona. Supposed to be going skiing the end of next week so that's very touch and go now. No symptoms though.
Oh noes! Better not enjoy something because you've got nothing!
It’s easy to see why you were battered outside Khans
Because he's a pussy?
He's a complete weapon.
Isolation cut to five days. The wins just keep coming...
"Well, he's negative for Covid, but his Bovid levels are off the charts!"
As if I'd do a BFT.
How's life, Magic? I don't recall seeing you post anything but 'lol Covid' for months. Surely you have something else going on. Cheer up, lad.
I do, but it's nothing miserable. Sorry that makes me boring now.
Just stop coming to this thread and go post in the others.

Can we please trust SCIENCE on this one?Our alternative policy scenarios, including more rapid scale-up of boosters to all who have been previously vaccinated, increasing mask use to 80%, and vaccinating the partially hesitant, have only a small impact on the trajectory over the next 4 months. The speed of the epidemic is so fast that policy interventions will have little impact. In previous waves, the control strategy has been to control infection and thus reduce hospitalization and death. Given that there is little prospect of controlling infection, strategies need to focus on reducing harm in the vulnerable and minimizing disruption.
A lad in work has it now after having it in October and the office is full of talk of the vaccine not working
Some of these stories of people being fined for breaches of lockdown [in the context of these Downing Street REVELATIONS] really paint a worrying picture of society. Of how easy it is for the veneer of a free, civil society to be undermined by a populace who seem to secretly crave authoritarianism [the curtain twitchers who presumably dobbed the offenders in, the survey folk hellbent on restrictions forever] and of a police force all to happy to oblige.
To borrow the language of Boydy, anyone who reported a breach of covid rules should probably be at the front of the queue for the gulag/wall treatment.
Nah, you've got to have them last because how are you going to get anyone else into the gulag without the snitches in society?
Finally tested positive this morning. Bring on the 5 day isolation rule ASAP please.
Covid Rules are one thing, making any protest you don't like illegal is another. This government has been one big power grab.
What about labour tho
We're yet to see how that actually works, but last I checked protests were still alive and (in some cases annoyingly) well.
This government has been a shambles on many levels and is clearly led by an habitual liar, but on COVID (and while far from perfect) they've done a better job than most other countries in the World in letting us get on with things once the vaccines were deployed.
EDIT: As Niko said, it's the populace that's shit the bed even more. "Tell me whether I should go to a Christmas party or not, it's ridiculous that you won't".
I think there's a general trend in the western right (and maybe left, tbh, where they're in power) towards authoritarianism at the moment. Boris Johnson isn't a natural dictator, he's the opposite, but once in power he's in an environment where he doesn't see why he should compromise on anything, and is being barracked in that direction from the back benches too. The options are soppy twats like Biden who will never get anything done, or vicious bastards who will get the wrong things done.
The Blair type of strong centrist just isn't on the table anymore, due to the cultural polarisation, infantilisation and everything else that the internet has ushered in.

Yes, New Labour never used their majority to introduce all sorts of authoritarian shit and re-shape institutions along preferred lines.
What about labour tho
This is what [large] majority government looks like. The only difference is that Boris Johnson is a mess, and New Labour didn't have to bully the BBC because they could count on its support (except that time it didn't support them, so they drove David Kelly to his death and bullied Greg Dyke out of a job).
Lewis buzzing because his opinions hold weight now.
Lol so up here dentists are still working under full bovid restrictions.
UPDATE for bloodpissgate: forgot to tell you cunts this but I eventually got a consultation in Dec, went up and got an ad-hoc finger up my arse and an ad-hoc cystoscopy. It was thee worst experience of my life. I had to drive home (40 miles) with my legs crossed in agony. I passed out in my bird's car later that night with the pain. Ended up with a UTI and was bed-ridden for a week and missed my works xmas do.
Anyway all is fine but fucking hell I'd rather die than get that again. Apparently I've got a very strong prostate.
Beyond a half-good Brexit the rest of their agenda is shithouse up to now (which also means that they are wasting the Brexit). I think people have just forgotten how majority government functions in this country. They can't even get their candidates into public bodies because the people and processes New Labour put there twenty years ago confound them.
There's some quality bingo-swingo going on under those arms.
Triple jabbed. It was busier than the second time but nowhere near as mad as my first shot. I had an army bloke do the jab so I guess they were needing something to do.
That's it. No more of 'em until I'm the vulnerable side of fat.
