Spunked a load on the Saudis because it's Man Utd. Let's be 'avin ya.
African Nations
Mali 25/1 look the standout value for me. Afcons tend to draw attention for the famous names like (this time) Salah or Mané, but they are usually won by balanced sides that have more options than just giving the ball to player X. Mali blitzed their World Cup qualification group without conceding a goal, and draw their players from leagues (mainly France) where the event is more built into expectations and there will be no fretting about club duties. They may lack obvious firepower, but often the Afcon is about shitting out 1-0 wins, and Ibrahima Kone (Norwegian league) may well be a dark horse in that department.
If you fancy taking them on with a bigger traditional power, Algeria 6/1 would be my choice - a nice draw, a range of interesting players and have proved a decent unit in recent times.
Top scorer: the aforementioned Kone is available at 40/1, or have a go at 14/1 for Vincent Aboubakar, whose host Cameroon side are at their least shit for a while and should be able to fire a few past Ethiopia plus whoever they get in round 2.
Lovely value all round. Is Bissouma walking straight into the first eleven?
Man said balanced side and then ignores the Kings' (a king led by a king) team.
They're too obsessed with one man. Should go close, of course.
I've been monitoring the odds of Toon Top Finish since my little convo with JA a month or so ago. Bet365 at 20/1 is pretty shit, but Sky Bet have 80/1 so I've stuck £20 on. #ToonToon
Is that Newcastle to finish top-half? I'll lay it for 100/1, you madman. You're drunk on those Azmoun rumours.
They're getting Trippier, they're making the Champions League.
It beats the evens that JA offered me at least.
All aboard the Swindon
Go on then. £5 on at 40/1.
£5 free bet on Swansea in play at 6/1, Saints lead 1-0 but Swans at home and now have an extra man.
Got Arsenal to win and over 2.5 cards. 6/1
Also had Fulham to win and Mitro to score. It lost so can't be arsed to look up the odds.
Vincent Aboubakar AGS and also to score 2 or more.
£5 on Nketiah hat trick at 28s.
Two penalties for Aboubakar in the first half
Edit: £5 on Cameroon to win 4-1.

Over 3.5 cards, over 1.5 goals and Cape Verde win @ 6.
The worst Sports Gambler of all time
You're betting on overs at the afcon. Might as well go into a care home and start putting wagers on one of the residents to win Miss Europe.
Can you do some sort of daily pre match info packs from the Afcon games? ( by which I mean a few sentences covering basic stuff you already know) Im thinking of watching at least the last games each day and would be fun to know something about the teams beforehand. Betting tips are very welcomed too.
I don't know as much as I would once have done. Today there are four games: Senegal would be heavy favourites over Zimbabwe; Morocco v Ghana I would expect to be quite cagey, Morocco have more goal threat even without Ziyech, but Ghana are quite solid. Would like to see Ilias Chair play for Morocco, but don't know if he will. Guinea v Malawi; the latter are jobbers. Guinea I don't know a lot about but obviously Naby Keita and possibly the teenaged Moriba worth looking out for. Gabon v Comoros... the former still a bit of a one man team and everything goes through Aubameyang. Comoros are a bit of a mystery but they do have a bloke who scores a lot of goals in Serbian football.
Looking at the prices, the only one that tempts me is Comoros might be a fraction long.

Comoros have already been battered in as well. I think Gabon opened about 1/2.
They are low on name recognition but have a pretty strong system relative to their size I think, and obviously very strong links with France. I wouldn't have them as favourites over Gabon but they're not mugs.
I'm using Parimatch because their odds for the outrights were better than Betfair's and they also offered a signup bonus but my word is the site shit.
They're not offering any odds for any AFCON match today other than Mauritania/Gambia.
El Fardou ags and 1-1 @15 might be my pick for the late game.
They'll probably need at least 3 penalties for that to come in.
They way he's been shooting so far 3 pens wouldn't be enough.
Don't 'star' players always severely underperform in this type of tournament?
Put £15 on over 0.5 around the 70th minute.
Thanks Morocco.
Had a fiver on Senegal to score 2 goals. lol.
Comoros 1-0 and under 1.5 in the next game for me.
I didn't have the bottle to go under in the Algeria/Sierra Leone match.
Gone in on Egypt -1 alongside my outright bet. Bold to back handicaps in this sea of shitness and mediocrity and Nigeria lining up better than I imagined but if you can't ride a train during work hours, when can you?
Under 1.5 @ 2.375 and a bit on Nigeria to win.
Cashed out of both.
I don't see another goal in this but I'd hate it if Egypt scored a scrappy one at the death.
Under 0.5 and under 1.5 in Guinea-Bissau/Sudan.

Is THE COMPUTER making an appearance in 2022?
Sony Open:
Kisner 35/1
Horschel 45/1
Keith Mitchell 66/1
It will do but more sparingly, at the moment I can't be fucked with doing research on two tournaments a week.
Sony Open I won last year with Kevin Na and I fancy a repeat this year @ 25/1.
Under 1.5 on Tunisia/Mali. I don't have the balls to go 0.5 too.
Anything in the Mauritania/Gambia match btw? Parimatch has all markets for the match currently suspended.
Markets have been unsuspended and I'm going in for under 1.5.
I've followed with the golf tips.
Also, under 1.5 in the Ivory Coast game.
