I'm changing my tact from giving fake names/numbers to track and trace I'm going to start handing out any cunt that fucks me off instead.![]()
The 500 supporter max at football games across Scotland has to be one of the dumbest rules yet. That'll be a packed main stand at Brora Rangers and a load of rammed pubs for the Old Firm next week.
Anything at sporting fixtures is just theatre. Spread doesn't happen outdoors. Sturgeon is an absolute moron and so is her Welsh equivalent.
A quite bizarre turn of events in Wales.
"Where do you think you're going sunshine? To WORK you say! We'll see about that....."
We're proper through the looking glass at this point aren't we?
Whoever came up with that has obviously never worked in the private sector.
My brother's missus works for the Welsh government so I'm well aware, from her tales, of the calibre of person running things over there. Makes our civil service look like a MENSA gathering.
We are indeed. A combination of weak leadership and SCIENCE nutters with their mental suggestions is giving this thing oxygen it should never have had by this point.
So the entire world has weak leadership or they might have the advantage of more data compared to yevrah.
Although, I did just lol at the WHO saying governments should cancel all Christmas events.
You would do well to remove the subservient shackles you operate under and actually question things now and again - there is no data (other than manufactured SAGE wank) that suggests Omicron is going to cause a Tsunami of hospitalisations and deaths in properly vaccinated, let alone boosted, countries, it just doesn't exist.
ConspiracyKiko grew into a right Flanders.![]()
They have not enough data to say that it won't so it depends on your risk appetite. If the hospitals are overrun, it's pretty hard to turn that around.
What value would the government gain from SAGE modelling a "all is ok" model? That's not their job.
I agree the data is far from complete, but what we do have is all pointing in the direction of things being fine, and thankfully to this point, the government here at least agree with that view - they are ignoring the SCIENCE, thankfully.
What value does anyone gain from modelling something that has no chance of happening? It's absolutely pointless and you said as much yourself the other day.
Did you get the t-shirts made? @Yevrah
We model for all kinds of shit that isn't going to happen. Or, rather, that is hugely unlikely. Hugely unlikely things do happen and governments prepare for them.
(I am aware we probably don't actually have a zombie plan, you just reminded me of that story)

Of course, I'd like to think there are plans in place for when an asteroid eventually comes our way again that don't just involve Bruce Willis and a massive drill, but crucially, those plans stay behind the scenes. In the case of this, this is stuff that SAGE are pulling together in response to something that is happening now, it's being deliberately released to the public, is forming scientific policy and is manifestly wrong.
lol my friend has it. They were having their whole family round for Christmas as well.
I'd love for the lols to be as great as they would be if hospitalisations don't really move much in the coming fortnight but given how many other countries are shitting themselves over this, one suspects there's something other than some SAGE soft shites behind this.
Scotland's 14% positivity rate is a bit daft. Glasgow and Edinburgh must be dragging those right up.

Fuck sake. It was ok to restrict when it was only in the UK but they can fuck off.
Is this how we’re moving the goalposts now? That lower “resilience” means lower hospitalisation numbers are actually similar to previous high levels? We’re fucked as a species.
I need a negative test to see my folks and get into the office so I can't really play fast and loose on that.
My (all triple boosted) family has issued an 'ignore it' policy in case of any positive tests. The way to live, I think.
Oh, hang on. Christmas is Saturday which means the receptionist isn't in. I can walk straight up there.
I've still never taken a test, in the entire pandemic. Lied about taking one about 4-5 times.
