The data for PCR's is all there, I totally agree. But it's not all the data. And that's why vaccination is a better metric, because it's easy to log and track.
How do you mean not all the data? Unless I've missed a meeting PCR's manifestly tell you whether you have COVID and if you have logging a positive test result is literally as easy as logging a vaccine dose being given. Easier in fact as you only need to do it once.
It's all a bit moot anyway, because regardless of him being a mong, Magic is right. We shouldn't be limiting peoples freedom on the basis of their immune response to a virus, be it natural or via vaccine.

I completely agree. I'm just also not comfortable with where the vaccine rollout is heading, which appears to be mandatory vaccines (certainly in everything but name if vaccine passports take hold) and possibly even for children. The fact that we're refusing to use valid, sound data on people who've already had COVID, for me, ties into all that. The thought that my nephew and niece could be forced to have a vaccine that has associated heart risks (however small) even after they've both had COVID and were seemingly absolutely fine with it really isn't cool.

Because not all positive covid cases have been diagnosed via PCR results. Some are done by LFTs and some are asymptomatic. A dataset of who is and isn't vaccinated is far more complete.
I don't care about LFT's, I'd moved on from them in my own post. It's merging two lists, PCR's + Vaccinated together. If you're using a version of excel with enough rows in it (rofl) you can do it in seconds. You want to vaccinate everyone, don't you?

I guess you probably could use it, in cases where a person is not vaccinated. But if your infection was not confirmed by PCR then you would have to revert to the vaccination status (because LFTs are useless).
Queues at the two vaccine centres at hospitals in Belfast are about two and a half hours long apparently. I queued for about two hours back in May and July for my first two but I don't think I can be fucked with standing in the December cold for two hours.
More because they're the ones who are being penalised with flight bans and what have you. Of course they'll say it's just the sniffles.

I’m not going to argue against Johns Hopkins. My point mainly was that the immune response to a natural infection is a lot more diverse than that to a vaccine. Then you have to factor in viral loads in infection and how symptomatic somebody was which will affect durability. But I stand corrected.
