With* bovid.
With* bovid.
Speaking from experience my sister still hasn't vaccinated her 4 year old son from anything. She isn't eligible for the family tax benefit and my poor nephew is excluded from child care and I think he got knocked back from swimming lessons. People are basically shunned from some parts of society and definitely excluded (by the majority of parents) from socialising with vaccinated children as most people dont want to risk there own childs health or pregnant women by exposing them to kids that arent vaccinated. My sister in laws nephews arent vaccinated for anything either and they are constantly run down with the sniffles and only socialise with other unvaccinated children in commune style day-care set ups run out of peoples homes.
I can only speak for QLD but people are going to lose their jobs if they work in the supply chain, QLD Health, Schools, Childcare and refuse to get the covid jab. People wont be allowed in Pubs, clubs, Restaurants etc but that wont be enforced untill after the 17th of December I think.
I try not to follow the daily covid news atm but there hasnt been any mention of fines or jailtime here yet but Victoria and Western Australia will be heading in that direction once we open up good and proper from my understanding.
The Federal Government wont be mandating vaccines they will leave that to the State Premiers so they can play both sides of the coin leading up to next years election.
Edit: Ive been surrounded be antivax crystal woo woo people for the last 20 years give or take and it is purely an aesthetic choice not to vaccinate a child in the same way that choosing the latest fad diet or reiki is an aesthetic choice. My selfish sister is actually vaccinated for literally everything apart from covid. So she gets to LARP in that space while being fully protected from all of the nasty things she takes for granted. Her son though could die of whooping cough if he catches it etc.
Sorry end rant.

Feed her to the crocs.
NT Police Commissioner Jamie Chalker said a criminal investigation would be launched into the woman's death, which he said "apparently [has] links to a breach of Chief Health Officer directions".
Authorities have previously blamed a Cairns woman, who they say lied on a border entry form, for the outbreak that began in Darwin in early November and then spread to Katherine.
Commissioner Chalker said officers from the Major Crime Unit would be investigating.
"Suffice to say that the Northern Territory community can be satisfied that the NT Police are investigating the causation and links that may have been to the passing of this lady," he said.

Tricky one that as it sounds like making the vaccines mandatory doesn't actually achieve anything. You've just got a 2 tier society and children suffering for their parents decisions.
In some ways it would be kinder for the kids if they did force them to have the jab I guess, but then you'd have to take them away from their parents. Or force the parents too which just feels excessive in the extreme. If it were Ebola doing the rounds I'd probably feel differently.
We are going to end up in a situation where the societal damage done by Covid laws and regulations is far worse than that done by the actual virus. You must already be there in Australia. I haven't heard from New Zealand lately, but I expect they're launching the sick at the moon by now.
Close the clubs.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if an illness like the 1918 pandemic turned up. Where the younger you are, the more at risk you are. How many of them would still take the risk? I reckon it would be surprisingly high. The culture war must be maintained at all costs.
It would also be interesting to see if the oldies would be willing to get jabbed and isolate / lockdown to protect us.
We're already well past that point economically. The 2008 crisis ended up with the world addicted to hyper-low interest rates, which seems a bit of an inescapable situation now [for better or worse], this is going to end up with everyone addicted to not really working [fair play to them] and the government spaffing money ad infinitum until it all goes bang in a big way. That and we're going to have a [even more] poorly educated workforce in 10 years as no one has been going to school for 2 years. The horror of the half million deaths or whatever it was going to be will probably pale in comparison to the overall long term damage, plus we'll have had all the deaths too. Win-Win.
The covid worriers are going to be a hell of a legacy. A sizeable minority of the population now simply isn't interested in living their lives, for fear of catching a virus.
That's a bit too on the nose for him. It would probably be grainy 70's footage of an American business man funding a farm, then as the cameraman pans around you realise the farm is on the edge of a forest. THEN we cut to an elderly lady on a ventilator and spend 7 of our 15 hours connecting the dots. 2 hours on Saudi Arabia which will somehow be relevant.
Lol at the adverts still bleating on about SOCIAL DISTANCING, OPENING WINDOWS and GET THE JAB.
In December? No thanks.
Boom.
500 people in hospital out of a population of what, 4 million? Edit, apparently 5m.
Heads etc.
He actually said about "trusting the science" in the announcement
This is all absolutely insane. Like genuinely one of the most insane things I can recall legitimate governments from first World countries doing in my lifetime.
I don't know how it stops either.
Only 3 other households allowed in a gaff too, which has absolutely no chance of happening.
And you need to have a vaccination or recovery cert to go to a gym or get a haircut.
Amazing.
Might as well pay homage to the upcoming two year anniversary of this shit with the most needless set of rules yet.
Masks when moving sounds like a rule you'd apply if covid was actually a T-Rex.
A couple of people had ditched their work masks today. Leading from the front.
I'm not really sure how the public sector is going to survive long covid.
Normalise asking about underlying health conditions.
That sort of stuff makes me genuinely annoyed at this stage. Someone who has looked after their body so badly that they've gone well beyond being morbidly obese (presumably being close to death has seen the weight fly off, so Christ only knows how big she was before) and was too stupid to get the vaccine despite being the definition of a risk group, is now lecturing others about getting the vaccine and the media are giving her air time to do it.
I read it more as "wise up and don't fuck about" rather than a lecture.
I'm still seeing loads of people that this virus should have killed. We should sue the vaccine makers for burdening the NHS.
Maybe, but it's absolutely pointless. If a 30 stone+ sack of skin and fat won't get the vaccine without nearly dying from COVID then I doubt her appearance is going do much to persuade other morons already on that bus to get off it.
I think bunting shoud be put up to celebrate her being fucked. Only break out the fireworks if she actually dies.
Oh great, all the southerners will be flocking up to Belfast again. Ffs.
They've been flocking up here for the whole thing because our restrictions have always been behind the south's.
Hard border NOW. #getbrexitdone
This is outstanding.
Reported to the police? Sweet mother of God.
Reported to the police for fraud? I mean fucking hell.
I think a lot of the stiff upper lip backlash to any sort of restrictions is that they'd be happier if their own died so long as other countries do too. I'd actually reckon a lot of British would, given the option of this disappearing tomorrow or not, choose the latter in the hope more "Europeans" get it bad. A fascinating mindset really and probably the final remnants of the empire.
Saw a man walking his dog before with a mask on.
The man had one on too.
I'm a twit
You're an odd sort.
Would you see this gone tomorrow given the choice? It doesn't strike me as you would, to be honest.
It's also fascinating how 'peoples' who are so intrinsically similar can so profoundly misunderstand each other, and I say that appreciating it fully cuts both ways.
