If the powers that be were ingenious enough to come up with a multi-year, worldwide conspiracy, they would be ingenious enough to come up with a proper response to this shit.
Not everything has to be a conspiracy theory or not a conspiracy theory. All the evidence I've seen so far shows the booster gives increased protection against symptomatic infection and is not being talked about in terms of severe disease, which is ultimately all that has to matter from move on from this nonsense. We're miles away from that at this stage.
The only conspiracy I'd see as plausible is that some people are going to get very rich out of boosting us all annually in perpetuity, but could that even be painted as a conspiracy? I'm not sure, sounds more like humans human-ing to me.
The rest of the claims - control, Bill Gates, 5G etc. are obviously all absolute nonsense.

I mean, Pfizer will probably make a shit ton of money out of this, but Pfizer were already making a shit ton of money before Covid.
If you were Minister of Science Pep, what would your approach be from here on in?
And just been enjoying a BLT while catching up with the latest European responses.

'Run mad' doesn't do some of that anything like justice.
There we have it.
Just had this from my daughters school:
Have the isolation rules changed or are they just wrong? I thought only the unvaccinated over-12's had to isolate if they live with a person that's tested positive?
Just want to check before I give them the big AKCHOOALLEEE...
They are wrong. What they have cited is the rule for incoming travellers.
Prior to Omicron you definitely only had to isolate as an adult if you were unvaxxed. Post Omicron I thought you only had to isolate if you'd come into contact with that variant.
But, people are terrified, particularly 'Mrs 45', so I assume that's why you've received that nonsense. I really do feel for people with kids throughout all this, raising a family must be hard enough as it is.
AKCHOOALLEEE sent. Cheers chaps.
If we're sharing COVID stuff from our lives, I got this this morning:
It's got cancelled written all over it.Due to the present situation with regards to the new covid variant we wanted to get peoples feelings on attending the Christmas party
Above you will see a vote option
Yes – would still be happy for the Christmas party to go ahead
No – Would like to event to postponed until 2022
On the plus side gents, once Omicron gets into full swing there'll be no one left at schools to send the messages.
Just let people be. Vaccines are widely available and we've had enough time to get all the information we need. Whoever wants to take it takes it. Whoever doesn't, don't. We will all be immunized sooner or later either via the vaccine or by contracting the virus. I would keep throwing money at the pharma companies so that they keep developing vaccines (and send some to the poor countries), including boosters, new variant versions, whatever, and make it so that they can come to market faster. Also, I would tell the FDA (and other countries' equivalent) to get their act together and approve Paxlovid already. That's it. Want to wear a mask? Go for it. Isolate? Sure. Ten boosters? Why not? None of the above? You do you.
Problem is, government needs to be seen as "doing something", so they "do something".
Hasn't the problem always been the lack of medical resources to deal with the repurcussions of not doing anything? Instead of dealing with the root causes of the problem (e.g. Giggles' dietary choices), we're still wasting resources on shitty temporary countermeasures.
The original goal was stated as preventing the hospitals from being overrun. The current goal? I don't think that anyone knows.
The counterpoint to my stance: I cannot recall the details unfortunately, but Christakis said in his talk that partial vaccination (as in a partially vaccinated population, not individually) is actually worse that no vaccine at all. Ideally, we really would want 90+% of the population to be vaccinated.
I don't think the loads of unvaccinated taking up the beds issue has gone away unless we just want to turn them away like the lepers they are.
Is the UK at temporary outdoors hospitals level right now? If so then you should be indeed doing some lockdowns, etc.
Given there are fewer than 1,000 people on mechanical ventilator beds vs. the previous high of over 4,000, I doubt it.
We were never at temporary outdoor hospital levels, even though we built them, because after we'd spaffed all the cash doing it we realised there were no buggers available to staff said facilities, and that they were, thusly, a massive waste of time/money/resources.
Which is probably the lasting motif of covid. Waste on an industrial scale.
So if you're in Germany and refuse to have the vaccine but want to go out for a drink the only option left to you will be to seek out a Covid infection.Germany will ban unvaccinated people from shops and bars, unless they have recently recovered from Covid
Sounds like progress.
Turns out theyre looking to mandate vaccines from early next year anyway.
Fascinated to see how that goes - cant imagine therell be any problems caused by making millions of people do something they dont want to.
The fist countries are making of this after nailing the vaccine is astounding.
I'm not in favour of forcing needles into people by force, but at the same time these cunts are getting no sympathy from me. If you want to go to the pub, get vaccinated. If you don't want to get vaccinated, then tough shit really.
If they actually do start putting needles into people by force, well, I don't even.
You would hope it can never come to that, but how else do you enforce a mandatory vaccine?
@Queenslander how does this work down there? What happens if someone refuses a mandatory vaccine?
It's all gone downhill for the Nazis since Kiko's transfer.
So now we're seriously discussing forced injections without sarcasm. Page 514. But don't worry, let's lol at those finding anagrams to keep our thoughts light.
Yes. We should definitely take the words of faceless conspiracy theorists on twitter as seriously as various European leaders outright saying they're going to make vaccines mandatory.
Those vaccines boosters are for us, all of us, there'll be no shipping abroad.
Is the mass bedwetting that appears to be going on all over Europe because the situation is somehow serious there or are they simply not habituated to the case numbers that the UK has been tolerating for months? Are more people dying, for example? And, if they are, do these people represent the sorts Alpha dispatched for the UK? Delayed mortality and all.
In Germany's case, it looks like both. 36000 cases a day and pulling in 400 deaths. We haven't had those kinds of numbers since February.
