And willies.
And willies.
Sorry that's for jeet.
Anyone watch Superstore? Pretty decent comedy in the Scrubs/Office style. Worth a watch if you're looking for something new
I love both Scrubs and The Office, mostly because it can go from laugh out loud funny to heartbreaking in one beat. Does Superstore do that - if so, I'm in.
It's not quite up at that level but similar. Definitely some Jim/Pam/Dwight vibes in terms of characterisation
Got a couple of series into it and it was pretty good but it was one of those shows we made the mistake of watching together so never got back to it. Probably had too many series for me to start in the first place anyway.
I noticed they used Cloud 9 as a shop in Good Girls also.
It's a good watch, but very forgettable in my opinion.
Finished Tiger King 2 last night and the 5th episode is the only one with any real substance.
I just finished rewatching Dark and it was just as good a watch as the first time. Obviously you know the story so the surprise factor has gone, but at the same time you notice so many things that (at least in my case) eluded you the first time around.
Two episodes into The Wheel of Time, first episode dragged a lot I feel but the second raised it up a bit. So far it's good but not great.
Not too keen on some of the changes they've made from the books (I've only read the first three and a bit thus far) though.
I've watched the first two as well and I largely agree with what you've said.
For the majority of the first episode I had a really bad feeling it was just a bit too "old fashioned fantasy" to adapt to television in an entertaining way, if that makes sense? Everything was coming across as a bit dull and quaint. For me it really picked up towards the end of episode one.

I only ever read the first two books and it was a while ago but from what I can remember they are moving through it at a fair old clip? Which I'm not mad about because the main reason I stopped (or officially "took a break") with the books is that I found them very laborious and long winded in places.
In terms of the changes:

But yeah, it definitely has promise and I will be sticking with it.
Gamesmaster returns in 30 minutes.
E4 I think.
Trevor McDonald is the Patrick Moore replacement.
Yeah heres the link: https://youtu.be/xQEDt5Goe_8
I never realised E4 streamed on Youtube, though that may end up being blocked here once it starts.
Rab Florence right out the blocks with a poem. Nope.

Whatever that thing was that was just playing, did they not say to it that 75 coins were needed and they got 73?
They sure did. And this next challenge looks heavily edited.
Seventy I heard.
This is quite good but its lacking irony. Like it needs to lean into the fact its a bit shit.
That's exactly it. It's far too badly done to be as straight up as it's trying to be.
Aye, making it for adults allows them to up the challenges a bit but need someone like Dominic Diamond to rip the piss out of it.
That said, it has enough nostalgia for me. I like it.
Yeah this is the thing its trying to appeal to people our age but doesnt have the cynicism we have so feels super fake.
Okay maybe its not appealing to our age because thats definitely not a celebrity.
Grado's the most famous person on this.
Funnily enough both him and rab were interviewed to be the host but Grado and theyre mates in real life so Grado felt bad he got offered a video game gig that rab didnt and didnt tell him about it then Rab got the job.
Decent start, although you could scrap "Bam!" bloke and lose nothing.
Yeah that guy felt so progressive it was almost racist.
I hope Rab knocks the pregnancy mentions down a notch, too. Feels like an odd thing to say more than once.
I think its so people on Twitter dont call her fat. Also he loves kids and is a big family man.
That Landscapers looks good.
Can anyone reccomend me a Scandi drama? Loved The Chestnut Man and Bordertown is coming to a close.
Bump on iPlayer is a bloody lovely Australian show. Visually so pleasing, great music, I was sexually attracted to at least 3 of the women and 2 of the men and just generally great vibes.
Sex Education has really gone off the deep end.
Still entertaining but prior to this season they at least sort of retained an aura of plausibility, which is totally gone now.
I started season 3, got distracted by something else and never went back to it. Don't think I can be arsed going back now.
Are we saying I shouldn't start Sex Education because I'll just be disappointed when it quickly starts to go wrong?
On season 3 of The Blacklist now. Getting near the end of the season.

All of it that I've watched is/was genuinely refreshing and good, even if the faux-yank aesthetic in the 'high school' grates a bit.
And it's worth it just for Ncuti Gatwa's performance which is phenomenal, he is surely destined for great things, or maybe for Marvel things as apparently that is now the peak of acting.
