Did you have heavy Police presence in the streets?
Some of them were young ethnic looking kids so it was probably them.
Yeah, but our police were too busy taking the knee and dancing at Pride to stop statues being rolled into the sea.
We have very different Police Forces.
@Queenslander Just wait until Eat out to Help Out, you'll put on a stone in a month.
It's the Perth Variant turning up 2 weeks before Christmas that's really going to hurt.
We had to deploy the police because some melts got upset there would be no singing at the proms, due to covid.
The gloomsters got it wrong (again) on hospital admissions which have now fallen to the lowest level for two months - as data shows Britain is 'over the worst' of the pandemic
This isn't facebook mate.
Get em boys!
Im now a boomer.
No one really comes out of that looking too clever.
It's just such an odd hill to die on.
To follow up on this [another of my kids has been identified as a possible contact on Friday but neg'd the LFT today] the birthday boy's missus was having an existential crisis at the end and her anti-vax 'research' mates were rallying around planning a collective course of invermectin.
What smart people.
My anti-vax/unvaccinated sister has been bed pound for the last 12 days with covid. Absolute idiot.
She still seems to be pretty much immobilised but hopefully she's getting over the worst of it.
The King who came from the gutter.
Just received my second dose of AZ
While I obviously didn't bother, I'm torn between it being 'just a bit of fun' and 'pointless self-righteous wankery'. It was probably both. That woman dancing in the road is entirely the latter, where as people doing it with their kids probably fall in the former.
It just struck me how quickly that's changed to look properly mental. A year or so ago there was one of them on every street, I can't even imagine the reception one of those would get now.
One of the things I hate about the tik-tok World we now live in is people doing little videos like that one, that purport to be genuine reactions to things.
Some of them may well be, but if they're not enough already. It's all so banal.
The mental thing is how afraid people were to do something like that to begin with. That awful-looking bint in the street is probably the most closed off cow day-to-day.
Remember the ambulance service funeral tiktok? That was proper scenes.
Seen people putting their vaccination date in their social media “bio.”
I'm a twit
I mea t to post about this yesterday and forgot. I made the mistake of putting Radio One on in the car the other day and one of their presenters is phoning people that have had their vaccine to sing them a congratulatory song.

Heads have left the fucking stratosphere.

We have 30,000 cases a day and everything is more or less normal. I honestly don't know what's going on over there. You even have half-reasonable vaccine coverage now.
Only 7 prem clubs with more than 50% coverage. BLM boys
They should give a 10 point bonus to those 7 clubs.
Just had my booster.
If I wasn't autistic before we can only assume I must be now.
Had a flu jab at the same time. Maybe I'll get ADHD as a bonus.
I read something once that theorised that people would rather everything was under control, even if it's not in their favour, than accept that sometimes horrible shit just happens.
I can see the logic. I guess it's why we have God's, devil's and witchdoctors too. People like to believe someone is in control and that the Village couldn't just get flattened by an earthquake or a tsunami for no reason.
The stakes have never been higher with the Grand Final on sunday.
lol we thoroughly deserve the drama just before we open up forever in time for Christmas.
BREAKING: Restrictions will be tightened for two weeks in parts of Queensland after six new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the community.
From 4pm today, the Local Government Areas of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Moreton Bay, Logan, Townsville and Palm Island will be subject to increased restrictions.
Public and private gatherings are limited to 30 people, while aged care, correctional centres, hospitals and disability service providers will close to visitors.
Cafés and restaurants will return to 1 person per 4m˛ indoors and 1 person per 2m˛ outdoors. You must be seated in hospitality venues when you're eating and drinking, and dancing is not permitted.
Capacity at stadiums and events will decrease to 75%, including Sunday’s NRL Grand Final.
Funerals and weddings are restricted to 100 people. A maximum of 20 people can dance at weddings.
Don’t forget a mask when you leave home: you must wear them indoors, on public transport and ride sharing, and when social distancing isn’t possible.
These measures are important to keep Queensland safe.
No mention of not sharing a bag with a stranger in the pub bathroom after the game...
Just in time for the Ashes.

Only if we send a team of Australian residents by the looks of things.
Feel like I've been hit by a bus
Was it booster day?
I had covid booster + flu jab together yesterday. Feel about 10 times worse than I did for either of my other covid jabs or any flu jab I've had before.
