Brighton: £50m?? Well in, lads.
Chelsea: Pending results of The Operation
Leeds: Danj-Ames! Danj-Ames! Danj-Ames!
Liverpool: Because FM contract renewals are the best bit!
Manchester United: Ronaldo 1-0 (plus some other nobodies.)
The Villa: Young.
Tottenham: Levy will be delighted to keep Charlie Kane around.
West 'Am: Big Mark Noble's presence is like three new signings.
You didn't list [somebody else] Webly, you cunt.
If we don't talk about 'tiers' ever again it'll be too soon.
This is proper small time
Bringing someone on just to take a penalty is a disgrace, just as it was when Southgate did it to Sancho and Rashford.
Probably just about a deserved win, but performance really not good enough.
Look at Brighton being good btw. Who knew.
I think my first experience of somebody coming on to take a penalty was Jamie Carragher against Portugal, because he had been scoring them in training (why?), and he muffed that one. Has anyone collected the statistics on it?
Proper small time from David Moyes’ West ‘am at the end there.
And there was me thinking shame Mark Noble doesn't get a game for them anymore (in Antonio's absence) as he was always pretty solid from the spot.
Salah 5
Ronaldo 4
Mane 3
Jota 2
I can see why you would do it in a shoot-out, where you might need more than fiver takers, but was there nobody else out there who could have taken that?
Cresswell would score penalties for fun
Seeing as all failed examples appear to be English players I'm going to need to see some non-bottling nation control examples to be convinced it's a thing.
Presumably outside of shoot-outs it's a fairly unusual thing for someone to come on and immediately be confronted with taking a penalty. I bet Milner has done it at some point and not missed.
The BBC Live Text's touchmap of Mark Noble's touches is harsh.
Son and Kane could potentially have a field day if they hit and hope all afternoon with Kepa in goal
For a big brand new stadium that’s some shoebox Sky are in. Or is sticking them in a broom cupboard part of this carbon neutral bollocks?
You’d think Spurs have lost half their games with the way people speak about today’s game and how it’s must win. They’ve won 3/4 and beaten Man City lol
Marcus Bettinelli on our bench, what a time to be alive.
On your #NetZero bench that is.
Chelsea’s bench is absolutely mental
I know he scores goals, and probably will today, but I will never understand how Marcos Alonso gets so much game time
Multiple managers have loved him for some reason. Chilwell five times the player.
Even more odd after Chilwell had the game of his career in Portugal.
Aight @-james-
Did the referee just blow for half time on 46.45 with 2 mins added?
They look awful going forward without Werner dragging people all over the gaff. Lukaku has just managed to finish every chance he’s got so far
We're a pretty good team, but sorely lack Narrative.
Less the lack of narrative, more the curse of 5 at the back.
Big Characters. What a little melt.
I do love Thiago Silva. He is all over it.
#GameZero not finishing 0-0 is disappointing.
That's a pretty funny goal. Think the 'keeper probably saves it as well [off the post, natch] if he dives rather than rooting himself to the spot.
#Fitting on the day of Jimmy Greaves's death for his old club to be putting in a pulsating performance and to lead 2-0.
Tuchel really is a proper manager
He is as well. Man-for-man any back five/six they can put out is absolute fourth place, but he has trainer-coached it into a proper unit.
Would like to see Werner nick one here, an already giddy away crowd will go mental for him and really boost his confidence.
Have any of these Barcelona exports to the PL ever looked good?
No better sight in football than a rapidly emptying White Hart Lane, or whatever this new gaff is called.
Spurs back to earth with a bump after their somewhat unexpected start to the season.
Chelsea have a very easy run of games after they play Man City next week until the end of November. You could call City easy too based on their previous matches against Tuchel
Most of those could be more credibly described as Betis exports.
Did 'Emerson Royal' ever even turn out for Barcelona?
Apparently so. Reddit said he's capped for Brazil so £25m is a fair price, too, so probs best to not judge him too early.
I make no comment as to his quality as a player, I have barely ever seen him play, I just question the idea of him being a Barcelona export.
Does Militao ever get a game for Real these days? Him not stepping up to be mega somewhat surprised me, he looked quality for Porto.
Chelsea v City shaping up to be quite tasty next weekend. Are City in must not lose territory there? Now that they have a seat at the table Chelsea will probably lose their miraculous ability to beat City.
Think they then go to Anfield the week after as well.
We're brilliant at big games / games where teams think they can touch us (hi Spurs). The bigger challenge will be the usual November-February ream of games against shite.
