FIFA 22: Machine Learning and ML-Flow

Thought it's about time to get another thread set-up.

There was a big info reveal here: https://www.ea.com/games/fifa/fifa-2...play-deep-dive featuring some interesting changes:

• ML buzzword nonsense
• Competitive Settings - less assistance, more manual controls by default
• Deeper Match Analysis - @SincereTheRebel
• Explosive Sprint - seems like more directional nutmeg tomfoolery
• Skill move cancel removed
• Icon Switching - press R3 and it'll overlay buttons to defenders head allowing you to switch to a specific one

Is it not kind of how adaptive difficulty winds up working anyway? PES tends to mark up players a bit but it's not that smart.

I like the career mode addition of being able to create your own team and mess about with the stadium, badge and kits every year. Almost a tribute to old school Master League just as PES disappears

Played a bit of a player career last night and it seems alright.

Hard to really judge how it feels compared to 21 as I never ventured outside of UT.

Skill games seem a bit laggy/broken.

I tried it too. It flat out refused to accept me being anything other than a ST and the AI teammates were still idiots.

I played about 5 games and sacked it off.

My teammates (other than sometimes running massively offside, Dan James and Rashford were the worst at it) were alright.

Me and Bruno have formed a lovely partnership.

I loaded up the beta for the first time in days just now and discovered that my career save is dead due to some "fixes" EA have made but UT is now open.

Didn't have time to play a game but my word the pack animation is so damn fast and great now.

I did the same. I really like it. Doesnt seem like there is going to be a wait or a 'tell' on them.

I played one game before it gave me the monster player pack. It felt much slower but that could just be going from 21's monster players to more "normal" players.

I think all the actual marketing/pre order stuff said player item and then it randomly appeared as pick in the notes. Pick is way too generous!
