He jammed about 20 different meds into his system at the slightest sign of a cold, he can't have been downplaying the virus much.
The shit that must have gone into this thing at the Wuhan lab...
Missed that.
My hair still going strong. I guess I don't need to vaccine then.
Taz must be full Gareth Bale under that topknot.
Oh no.
That fella looks like someone you can trust.
I hear standing in traffic does wonders for it too.
Does the viper's venom ability to "inhibit the virus’s ability to multiply by 75 percent" work because the host is already dead from the venom?
By the sounds of that, there's no living host to begin with. It's all petri dish stuff. In the scientific journal Molecules, scientists shared results from a study on monkey cells showing that a molecule from a Brazilian jararacussu pit viper can inhibit the virus’s ability to multiply by 75 percent.
We could be fully open by Christmas with double jab vaccine passports for international travel rolling out at the end of next month effectively ending the travel ban for those Australians. The NSW/QLD border bubble is set to be re introduced with it set to keep moving south as NSW get to the 70% double jab target.
Please no more variants...
That's all well and good, but you're going to have to get used to much higher case numbers than you have ever been comfortable with for that to work. Britain is over 80% vaccinated, with 90% having had one and is still lolling around with significant new daily rates of infection. It would seem that the endemic level of this thing is about where we are - tens of thousands of daily cases and death numbers in the low hundreds. I suppose, of course, you could do what everyone else seems to do and just stop bother testing as that is the key driver of the stats.
There will be more variants.
I have no idea how this plays out I'm just over it and really over zero covid people (women). I'm double jabbed and everyone I care about is as well. As soon as we have enough for everyone to have that option we just need to open up forever the anti vax people can live with their choices eg limited employment options, no pub, no live sport, no concerts, no travel etc. I do wonder if private hospitals will refuse to treat anti vax people as well...

What do you think the reaction would be over there if 1-200 deaths were being recorded per day? It's pretty much being ignored here because we're used to it, but would it not come as a shock to you guys?
Oh and refusing antivaxx people anything is just spite. Vaccinated people are still catching and spreading Covid so what's the point?
The Hospitals in QLD are currently running skeleton crews due to testing and vaccine hubs.
We would collapse if we had the covid pressures that the UK has been under.
There isn't a right answer I just don't care outside of my wee corner ATM.
I have anti vax people in my immediate family who are all vaccinated for everything except covid.
Probably keeps women in pubs and clubs safer.
My mrs had to take an LFT when she got to work today, is that allowed? Seems a bit dodgy.
Was it her first day back in a while? Our office has scheduled testing days.
Apparently someone sat on her desk went for a test yesterday after work so they made her do an LFT. I imagine if she had refused she would be sent home without pay. They were insisting on people doing them regularly and when they returned from holidays but it seems like that only applied to certain people and not others.
I've said it a lot over the last 18 months, but some workplaces have lost their fucking minds. Nothing has changed, you idiots. Just get on with it.
At least my office has been fairly consistent over the whole thing. The only thing I'm miffed about is taking people away from their desks to conduct the tests. Do that shit at home and then nobody loses their shit when you turn positive in the office.
My missus went back to her hometown today.... 8 military checkpoints for a 30km drive.
She had Moderna for her first shot, but the country has ran out now, so AZ for her second.
What's an LFT?
Lateral flow test. I think they call them antigen in other countries. Or maybe those are different things. I don't know anymore.
aka the biggest waste of money in our lifetime.
I'm a twit
Are they the ones you can buy in Lidl?
Helps the fatties spot when they need to waste some more public resources.
We get them for free at pharmacies.
They do seem pretty useless, all the people I know that have received a positive result from them are either false positives, or after the point of showing symptoms and them being quite poorly. I.e. they are shit at early detection.
I can't imagine I'd bother doing one now. Maybe if I had to for a flight or something I guess.
If I had symptoms I'd do a proper one, but I'm not testing when I'm feeling fine and if you are feeling ill and test positive on an LFT you have to get a proper test done anyway, so what's the fucking point?
The tit she works with went for a test to get out of working today and it's come back positive
enjoy your weekend dickhead.
Edit: is your Mrs double jabbed or has this fucked your weekend too?
You sure it was simply to get out of work for the day and not because they were in fear of their lives. This thing is pretty serious you know, Kiko posted an FT article which explained why IIRC.
Tedious.
Sounds a top lad, get him signed up to here.
1 in 45 people in Scotland had Covid last week apparently.
That must make the Mortality rate absolutely pathetic now.
It's been a quick recovery following day 5 this time round but I was unusually feeling like an afternoon nap on days 7 and 8 which must be what the much talked about long-COVID sufferers are reporting. It seems to be fixed now after I went to bed 2 hours early yesterday but still, terrifying to have such a close shave. Gonna make a joint vid with Karl Darlow and some fat universal credit claiming single mums to warn people.
