How are you getting on with MaM John?
How are you getting on with MaM John?
Yeah I can see that, they do seem a little like polar opposites. I'm not really in the mood for anything in particular out of them. I'm just weary of starting something cliffhangy at 10pm the day before I go back to work![]()
Lad just went to sleep now, and here I'm sat watching Family Guy on TV because I can't decide![]()
And just like that Godzilla (90's one) came on TV and made it all even harder.
Series finale of Ash vs Evil Dead was pretty good. Wondered how they would continue the story into series 2. Ash being Ash, all about him.![]()
Went with Making a Murderer in the end. Staying out of Yevs thread until I've seen more though.
That said having seen the first episode, I feel I have a good clue where this all is going.
Episode two watched. Fuming. I may implode before I reach the end.
Just did as well, Sean. This is some True Detective stuff right here. Already more intriguing than The Jinx I reckon.
Just blasted through four of them. My word.
If I didn't have work tomorrow, I could definitely continue.
I'm a twit
I'm so glad I started it first thing because there was no way I was stopping in the end.
Six episodes watched now. Tempted to watch another one but I should probably go to sleep.
I watched episode 7. Tempted by the next one now too.
I don't see how you could stop, to be honest. I absolutely had to watch all 10 in one sitting, or it's all I'd have been thinking about.
You guys talk very good things about the leftovers. I watched the first episode and was like... Meh!
Is it like the wire that it gets a lot better or this is all I can expect?
Right, well watched half of Episode 3 of MaM yesterday, and the other half this morning.
Reckon that's probably the best way to avoid the urge to just keep watching. Stop at some point mid-episode instead of right at the ends of them. Given work and that, it'll take me the good part of this whole week to get through them all.
Dying to go into Yevs thread, mind you![]()
Same here, Maz. Eager to vent!
I've recommended it to my mate but she's not very tech savvy. Is it on UK Netflix? She's got that but wouldn't be able to deal with changing the country on her PS4. If not I'll stick it on USB.
I'm a twit
Ok 6 episodes watched. Gutted I won't be able to finish this until tomorrow evening at best.
Anyway, this is what I think so far. Spoilers within (up til episode 6), obviously:

If it helps Maz the thread I started isn't that good. Which isn't to say it's full of bad posts, more that the documentary is so comprehensive that there isn't a great deal to discuss once you've seen all the episodes.
You're 100% better to wait and then go in once you're done.
Also, two more things...

Not sure if this is the right thread for it but I just watched this episode again.

Jesus Christ.
That's great.
Well, I'm on the Making a Murderer bandwagon, albeit very slowly as I stupidly offered to watch it with others. Is there anybody in Manitowac who isn't a thunderously awful human being? Just blow the whole place up. What a band of bastards.
Its so far beyond the human imagination. That's why fact/history completely outweighs fiction.
Bore off Harold.
This looks pretty good, but Lithgow as Churchill is gonna be difficult to see as anything but "Lithgow pretending to be Churchill".
Just watched the newest episode of Endeavour. Enjoyed it a lot. The outcome of the case in it was pretty far-fetched but I can live with that.
EDIT: First new episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine was great.

Some bloke talking about The Simpsons. I think that's one of the most distressing things I've ever read.
The new episodes are actually really good. There was a definite dip there but they know what they're doing now and I regularly get laughs from them.
Started watching Master of None. It's nice he cast his own parents, but they really should have got an actress in for the mum.
It's a great show. The parents acting is so ridiculous that it's funny and maybe that was the point?
Brooklyn Nine Nine has been very good, but the latest episode from the other night (E11) was absolutely terrible.
I'm on E4 pace from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, good start with the double bill. I'd have been happy with Bill Hader hanging round with a different character, but I hope The Vulture's a fixture for a while now at least. He's such a great douche sleaze in this and in 30 Rock.
They're making a Deadwood movie
Fucking hell. I'm genuinely a little bit giddy about that news.
I've been watching lots of Six Feet Under recently after my brother got me the box set for Christmas. I'm almost up to the end of the second season and I'm enjoying it a lot. Michael C. Hall particularly is great in it.
