I'd have to check but I don't think they do an independent psychological evaluation they just check your medical records for any history etc. Certainly the renewal checks only ever looked at the security of where you kept them. My experience is all about 15 years old by now so it could have changed since.

Thankfully I've only had very limited interactions IRL with the, er, i forget which ones are which, red-pilled people? One of my peripheral mates from school was always particularly socially-awkward and shit with girls, even by the standards of me and my mates. We drifted apart, but agreed to go on a BIG SESH a couple of years after we both finished uni, cus we woz both back home, and i'd recently broken up with my ex and wanted to, I dunno, get battered and dance like a twat and maybe snog a girl.
While we were pre-drinking at his and catching up, he said a few things about how he had gotten into the whole pick up artist thingy, and how he read some of the books and had gotten "game" and other weird shit. I thought it was a bit dodgy but I kinda thought fuck it, he seemed to be more confident and had a fairly fit girlfriend based on the photos, so tried to give him the benefit of the doubt.
We arrived at the club, got a drink, and after about 10 minutes he asked if we could go for a fag, yeah sound mate. He sat us next to this lass in a wheelchair and then proceeded to spend the next fucking hour doing his fucking pick up artist routine at the poor girl, as I desperately tried to persuade him to come inside and have a dance. It felt like an eternity, partly cus it never actually developed into proper conversation, just a series of lines and tactics the lad had clearly read on some fucking PUA forums, and her sorta going along with it because I guess she didn't usually get much attention from guys in night clubs. Finally got him back inside for about half an hour, before he dragged us back outside to try and fail to make conversation with other random girls. My main takeaway from that evening was thinking fucking hell, his poor girlfriend. At least he hasn't shot anyone I spose.

That's been the same verdict every time someone leaves Afghanistan, I'm not sure what people thought would happen when we got bored policing their country but it was always going to be this.
The only way of potentially stopping it would be to give them the ability to defend themselves (properly that is. Not a 2 bit army with spud guns), and I'm not sure giving them 21st century fighter jets and missiles is the best idea for anyone.
