The magic thing is unreal.
Get well soon buddy.
Get well soon MJ.
My mate who I was sat next to at the pub just text me saying he has just tested positive. Thankfully the lateral flow on my side is negative and we're both double jabbed. Nightmare.
What is the difference between the blues? The clubs are open next week in case you missed it.
Thought the stat about 32 men dying every day from prostate cancer (1 ever 45 minutes) in the UK was interesting in the context low level covid deaths still featuring prominently in the news cycle.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-57836137
We aren't back at 'this stage', are we? There's currently just under 3,000 in hospital. At the peak of the Christmas wave there were 38,000."People are still critically unwell with it - I cannot quite believe we're back at this stage again - it's really worrying."
Hardly sounds back-breaking, if I'm being honest. The hospital, in Stockton-on-Tees, currently has 22 Covid patients
https://www.nth.nhs.uk/content/uploa...5.09.18-EB.pdf
According to that, they only have 17 ICU beds so it's pretty significant.
Don't only a small percentage of covid hospital admissions require that level of care though?
TBF, the article says 5 of the 22 are in ICU so a third of all beds?
Sorry Shinners, gotcha.
Melolbourne is back in lockdown I reckon Brisbane won't be too far behind.
My first Seppo jab is next week.
Anyone heard from ned the spread since his last post in here?
MJ. My poor attempt at wit failing:

He'll be wanking over his daughter's corpse at this point.
UPDATE:
Daughter has confirmed positive. Der Untergang begins.
Ok I think I'm dying now.
Been sent home from work, someone I work with tested positive at lunch time, so thats me done for the summer.
Ironically, I was away with the Y6 kids for the last 3 days at PGL, and normally they let you have a morning off the day after it but because were so short staffed from isolation we had to go in this morning, if theyd have kept it as normal Id have been fine.
This isolation is an absolute mess. They need to make it so the double jabbed don't isolate, and soon.
Magic dying from COVID, and the screenshots of his posts that would end up in the Daily Mail, might just be the thing this board needs to get some new blood.
I'm 32 now, so fail on your part.
Are you in hospital, @Magic?
No, I feel exactly the same as I have done for like 7 days. Now coughing up lumps of orange and bloody bogeys.
I'm going on a second round of antibiotics for my lungs, different type this time.
50,000 new cases. Unreal scenes. I’m fairly sure 90% of folk have had it in Dundee now
Just got the text of doom. 10 days isolation for my daughter. She's also complaining of a sore throat.
90% sure it's not Covid as she was living with me when I had it and didn't catch it / have symptoms but still
I'll keep the ventilator warm for you, pinhead.
I've had both Covid (I was fine, pussy'ole) and a vaccine (because I'm not a mong).
What actual criminal offence has been committed here?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-57853164
I assume anybody who has access to the CCTV it's written into their contracts that they're be prosecuted if they release anything because it's confidential, etc.
So you could be prosecuted for whistle blowing?
I don't know the legalities of it. I assume the police take a different view of it if you're giving them proof of criminal wrongdoing rather than selling footage of Matt Hancock groping somebody to the Sun for profit.
The Government has an official "Whistle Blowing" department that you can approach as an employee, I believe.
Because there's no way that could be anything but impartial.
Indeed. If someone gets banged up for those stills being leaked it will not sit comfortably with me. It was in the public interest and was highlighting someone doing something they absolutely shouldn't have been.
There would be a public interest test in any court case/tribunal for whistleblowing, but it could also be Official Secrets Act seeing as the camera was in his office, and then whoever leaked it and the company who provides the security could be in serious bother. You can't go revealing any old shit you dislike that takes place in private offices just because you happen to be on security that day.
I'm amazed anyone is surprised it's illegal to have leaked that footage. .
