I'm a twit
The Guardian seems to think a cash plus player deal is an actual possibility re. Kane, but then papers always think swap deals are possible and 99% don't happen. Something like 100m + one of Sterling/Jesus/Laporte (the three mentioned) would be madness.
How many seasons have his ankles got left anyway?
Don't journalists just regurgitate whatever the desperate agent on one side tells them? Don't see where else their 'sources' would be for pie in the sky stuff like sending Raheem Stering to Tottenham Hotspur as a makeweight. Just not going to happen.
My guess would be City aren't interested and someone in the Kane camp is trying to drum up interest from elsewhere, while the client unhelpfully resembles a lame mule out on the tournament pitch.
Who else is there for Kane? Real Madrid and Barcelona are skint.
Liverpool? Maybe, but he's not really their type of player and he'd be well above what they'd pay.
Man Utd? Not what they once were.
Bayern Munich? Lol.
It's Man City or bust really.
United he'd be going for the money and convincing himself his goals might make the difference in a challenge for trophies.
Whether United will have the time to consider a bid for him when Woowar will be busy spending the summer trying to haggle thruppence off the Sancho deal is a different matter.
He should replace Ronaldo at Juventus.
I'm a twit
Kane is stuck at Spurs on that long-term contract unless City make an absolutely outrageous (£150m+) bid. Nobody else can afford him (apart from PSG which I can't see happening). United definitely won't spend that on one player.
I forgot about PSG. I Suppose if he wants silverware it's an option (not that anyone gives a shit about French cups) and he does love Pochettino.
Even so it seems unlikely. Rich as they are, it's a nothing club.
I'd also bet he's after Shearer's record.
He's on a mammoth contract, no one can afford him... so who's driving the boat of transfer rumours? Him? His agent? That grandma who wants to suck him off? It's all very mysterious.
It's got to be Kane pushing it, he's even been talking about it in interviews. He was stupid to sign the last contract.
I think if I was Levy I'd want more than 150m.
It's a huge rebuild job already and without Kane it's going to take even longer to get back into the top four.
Without Kane it's a bottom 10 team. Without Son (who just signed a new contract for unfathomable reasons) they're in a relegation battle.
That squad is full of absolute shite.
Horrific theory: Our takeover goes through and the filthy Saudi money goes on Kane. There's an awful lot of noise coming with regards to the Court of Arbitration finding in our favour.
Are Celtic fans still seething that an Australian is managing them?

Why do they have go through this dance?Manchester United have increased their offer for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho to 85m euros (£72.6m).
United have already had one bid for the 21-year-old England winger turned down and their latest is still 10m euros short of the German club's valuation.
However, while the latest bid is unlikely to be accepted, it is now viewed as virtually certain the transfer will eventually be concluded.
Smokescreen for Dalian Atkinson.
Ben White to Arsenal for FIFTY million quid.
He couldn’t look anymore LAD LAD LAD if he tried
Seems like a decent deal for all parties. Does this mean William Saliba is shit?
He still seems a bit diminutive to be a centre-half to me.
£50m also seems batshit, but what do I know?
He looks tidy enough in every department but he misses the 185cm mark of promise let alone the 190cm mark of quality. Solid enough as a 2nd CB but you can't build a defence around him.

Nuno now the latest to be linked.
Why did the prospect of Gattuso joining spark a 'fans' protest'? Is he that much worse than all the other people who have been linked?
The geezer is a homophobic, sexist twat that once assaulted member of Spurs backroom staff and can't hold down a job.
In other words; he is VERY Italian.
He's nailed on for Rangers when Steven Gerrard moves.
Grealish is brilliant but £100m is wild money. Guess the oil clubs are taking advantage of no FFP this window and going on a mad one.
He's absolutely brilliant. We should have signed him years ago.
Woodward to pull all the stops out and add a further £3.70 on his next Sancho bid.
As brilliant as Grealish & Kane are, are they really the individuals who are going to deliver City the Champions League?
Grealish I can see, but Kane is a very odd fit for a Guardiola side, especially with his injury record.
Grealish to City is such a miserable transfer. Was pretty excited about seeing him and Buendia behind Watkins next season.
We still have gaping holes in the first team which need filling before we can drop £100m on a left-sided attacker. Grealish plays in either Bruno or Rashford's position, and whilst he would likely bench Rashford we have much more pressing concerns than trying to improve on him; actually having a right winger for example.
I don't think he was £100m a few years ago though which is more my point.
Well I mean you can say that about any player who's become standout in the last few years. Predicting which ones that will be is the hard part....
If City get these two deals over the line consider the sportswashing complete.
They've missed their chance at the European Cup.
Crowds will be back next season.
Sancho looks to be done.
I'll believe it when you tell me what in-flight movie he watched.
And if it wasn't Class of '92 then I'll be demanding we sell him on again immediately for refusal to learn how to Know the Club.
He's been spotted in Lou Macari's chippy ordering a chip barm.
Jadons Ancho.
I'm not sure that Jack 'Jack Grealish' Grealish is a hundred million upgrade on what City already have. Harry Kane is, and he would score thirty league goals and get as many assists. Might as well just void the competition.
They bring him in on the proviso Sterling goes and Grealish passes to him.
