Crusaders are a bit good
Crusaders are a bit good
The Sunshine Coast Storm have come home.
Is this bloke Oliver Gildart any good?
He’s decent, but there are better, eg Mark Percival. Small and fast, but seems to be injured quite a bit.
I'm a twit
Sounds about right for the Tigers.
Him and Mark Percival are the two best centres in the country, and I think Wigan injure their players more than any of them are particularly injury prone. He also doesn't seem to be one of the complete thickos like John Bateman and George Williams, so hopefully he stays out there and makes a go of it.
Is he similar to anyone in the NRL?
I'm trying to think of non-Polynesian centres. Curtis Scott, but a bit more of an elusive runner.
State of Origin looks a bit more evenly matched this year. If Queensland can turn it into a shitfest I would fancy them rolling the New South Wales forwards. Then again, Nathan Cleary is playing as good as anybody has for years, so he might just kill them on his own.
I'm hoping for an ugly dog fight.
This new 18 year old from Cherboug looks like who could be a real win for the Donkeys.
Scamming the first match to Townsville could make Lang Park the decider as well.
Garn to the pub to watch the Donkeys tonight I'll no doubt be a spaz around Dragons fans when we win.
New Zealand is chock full of dorks.

The Roar
The famous 'gully haka' from NZ schoolboy rugby is absolutely spine-tingling
It seems like the haka/associated dances have proliferated to the point of worthlessness now, with people doing them at every possible opportunity (or making them gay like that one), so it must be time for Maoris to start getting indignant about it and insisting on controlling its use like how [pretend] aboriginals have elbowed their way into all sorts of Australian things.
Ohhhhh, wanky, wanky...
I might go to the final if it's not going to be a covid nightmare.
I don't know. Neighbours have introduced an aboriginal character, and she's spent her entire run going round lecturing people on native title and tribal politics. New Zealand never even gets a mention except when someone moves there.
I just meant League and Union.
It is weird that Luai is nominating to play for Samoa after Origin with the no media criticism.
Edit: God Townsville sucks.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-06-...&sf246529517=1A tent city has been erected in just three days to accommodate footy fans ahead of the State of Origin in Townsville this week

He's alright for Samoa. The Jason Taumalolo problem was his New Zealand caps, although this will obviously become an issue if the islands become consistently good and merit classification as tier one nations, which would stop people playing for them and their state. They might have to end up making it about birthplace to cut off all the people (like Taumalolo) who move to Australia as kids.
The problem is that Tonie Carroll played for NZ and Australia.
Impossible to enforce birthplace in 2021.
The distance between Penrith and Townsville is 2100km.
Cleary wont handle the crowd.
Been here before ad seen it go wrong (was that last year?), but this is going rather swimmingly so far.
Brad Fittler sat there pretending he does anything.
This Mitchell character for NSW (I have no idea about the NRL) has had a decent half. Unbelievable hands when he was waving the ball around earlier.
This is such a weird awkward bit. Which of you little fellas has the best SPEED and BALL SKILLS?
I went out after an hour. I'm not sure how you beat them if a game of rugby breaks out. If you can't turn it into a completion-based shitfest (a Wayne Bennett Special) then pick who you want to bum you.
Yeah, that was pretty comprehensive.
Do they have a sprinkler system at Suncorp?
That is our only hope at this stage.
Gagai can't mark Latrell in game 2 that was brutal to watch.
Tom Turbo is unplayable in a free role.
Harry Grant needs to come off the bench if we want him as an attacking threat poor bloke made most of our tackles no wonder his running game went missing.

That Brisbane red card is the worst one you'll ever see.
They are just giving up Brisbane to the AFL with that shit.
Super Rugby would at least call mitigating circumstance with the player falling penalty at most.

Welcome aboard the Broncos new feeder team PNG!
[Sir] Cameron Smith goes and he has a mid-life crisis, doing podcasts and all sorts. Wayne Bennett would never.

Prize fighter Paul Gallen is great value.
Paul Gallen is one tough bugger.

I love the SMH line "This was proof that Huni is the real deal".
Erm.
Fair fucks for wasting his time beating up an old twat, but it's a bit of an embarrassing thing to have to do as an actual boxer.
I forgot to add Gallen scored $1.5 million. Lol
It feels like overnight that QLD has too many Clubs and we are missing at least 3 or so years of players that haven't come through.
The expat Storm really need to bugger off.

It's a disgrace that there are some New Zealanders who aren't doing hakas at some times of day. Where is the respect for the soil etc.
New Zealand is full of dorks.
Brisbane Lions just passed 40k members tonight.
RIP Brisbane Broncos
