Aww, he's hurt his thumb now.
Aww, he's hurt his thumb now.
He's last pick. He always goes in goal.
The health heavyweights are onto me.
Had my second AZ jab this time last week. Woke up with a headache today. Pray for me lads.
Good luck Lofty.
Open the rollercoasters.
Another day, another grossly over the top article.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-57150871
These things are just offensive now.
I'm genuinely baffled by the hype around this variant. I think the main thing driving it is that the modern day media is completely set up for sensationalism, to the point of existential doom if it doesn't amass clicks and shares.
It's discussing them against a backdrop vaccines not existing that really gets me. It'd be like talking about car safety now, with current speeds, but using death data before seatbelts were brought in and extrapolating that.
You'd be laughed out of the room.
The article does at least subtweet Deepti and co being wrong about everything, consistently, since the first vaccine went into the first arm.
You can see your vaccination travel pass on the NHS app if you want to. Snazzy.
But isn't their defence that they don't have the evidence to say the vaccine works against it? Of course, our attack is there's also no evidence of vaccine evasion but if it is significantly more transmissible and given how everyone is such a soft shite, their approach is understandable.
Another INDEPENDENT SAGE expert on the BBC just now moaning. When did SCIENCE become so militant and patronising?
People are going to get tired of their shit at some point. Hopefully that doesn’t end up with the wider public lumping actual scientists with these dickheads. The sooner they fuck off back to their Twitter the better.
Independent Sage are knobs.
Got my jab booked in on Thursday. Surprised when it came as I thought it would still be a month or so till they got to 35 year olds.
For the anti-SCIENCE crowd:

Having gone to an indoor pub last night for the first time since whenever, I can assure you there is nothing more absurd in this whole era than being required to wear a mask for literally three paces between the door and the table.
No one gave a toss at my local. Other than table service it was no different than normal.
I think the general rule I've observed is the more corporate a place is, the more desperate they are to follow every rule to the letter. The place I went was a sort of mini-'chain' place so they probably take it more seriously than a local.
Well, yeah. The Indian variant may not be as transmissible as initially feared, a leading scientific adviser said.
Professor Neil Ferguson, from Imperial College London, said there was a “glimmer of hope” that although the variant of concern appears to have a significant advantage over the Kent variant, the “magnitude” of that could be lower than initially thought.
Idea for a new religious festival: Jabadan.Prof Ferguson said it was introduced from overseas, principally into people with Indian ethnicity which means there is a higher chance of it being located in multi-generational households and often in quite deprived areas with high density housing.
But didn't they say 10k dead per day.
If by dead you mean cases then yes.
It was last year so I presume it’s the case again. A load of shite but a worthy sacrifice for a pint of Heineken
We went to this place a few weeks ago and had to wear a mask when entering and leaving which struck me as a little pointless considering the entire thing is outdoor
Had my second AZ on Sunday and Monday was fine but then yesterday was a complete write-off. Unless the timing's coincidental and I had something anyway which is always likely with a 2-year old around, it was way worse than the first.
Had my first Pfizer vaccine yesterday. No reaction at all so far, but from what I've heard, it's the second one that knocks you out.
Also back in the office 3 days per week. Feels nice to start getting back to pre-COVID life.
My gym is properly picky about face masks. One girl in particular seems to take it as a personal mission to invoke it.
A group of 4/5 young lads were attempting to bench press and she made them all stand 2m apart watching on as their friend completed the closest thing to suicide Ive ever seen.
Whats the bigger risk here? Crushing from an unspotted, poorly thought out bench press, or being within touching distance of your pal?
It's the rule in Scotland.

I take it all back. They're watching us lads.
Don’t be doubting my conspiracy theories again, Sir.
The rule of thumb seems to be that AZ knocks you out on the first dose and is better on the second dose and vice versa for Pfizer. I had my second AZ on Sunday and had no side effects. The first jab made me feel like I’d been run over by an 18 wheeler.
My sister and parents have had AZ and that sounds about right, felt rougher the first time than the second. They felt a little rough but were definitely worse the first time.
I had the same experience with the AZ.
The first jab was horrible but nothing after the second.
Personally, I won't believe it until 8 people have posted to say so.
You'll believe something just because more people have said it?
Fucking sheep. You'll be ripe for the Bill Gates Epstein-chip mind control.
I won't be getting one.
Of course you won't.
The man whose house I'm renting a room in at the minute is refusing to get one. He started telling me he had 'read some bad stuff about them', and I'm stood there trying not to laugh in his unfit sixty year old face, but then he said he knows someone who got a blood clot after their first dose and is now paralysed so you wot mate.
Don't get me wrong, if I was middle-aged, or had underlying health issues (or was a Premier League virtue signaller) I'd get it. But I'm a peak condish 31 year old, so fuck that.
You could use a blood clot Beadle Boy.
That's 2018 me. Also I'd just had my wedding ring sawed off my finger, which almost did cause a blood clot.
Worth the side effects chief.
