I was all over the place after my first jab.

Luckily I was fine after the second. Felt a little chilly for 30 minutes the next day and that was it.

Explain to me how the young, fit and healthy suffer most with this vaccine whereas the grotesquely unfit (see above), spastics and coffin dodgers get away scot-free?

I took my second dose yesterday. Had to wait a grand total of zero minutes each time and the side effects so far can best be described as non-existent.

NI has been fully open for 35-39 year olds for a couple of weeks now and they opened a limited number of bookings for 30-35 last Friday. I went on straight away and booked mine and got it on Saturday.

The first shot basically knocked me out for 2 and a half days.

Edit: You also claimed that my side effects to the first jab were due to me being grotesquely unfit so, yet again, you're all over the place.

Having to slightly increase the recline on your gaming chair isn't knocking you out for 2.5 days.

The only shame is that this is on talkRadio, whilst remaining conspicuously absent as a view point from the likes of the BBC.

The Dutch reckon I'll get an invite (assuming some sort of ceremonial clog, filled with weed) around the end of June. Did hear a rumour of someone calling up their GP and getting some spares, so might try that.

I do think there has been a very noticeable shift in the tone of the media with regards how this is being reported to us over the last week or so. The BBC in particular, there's been a very decisive change of attitude from them recently.

Whilst they're not quite on board with the "everything will be fine now" narrative their front page has basically gone back to almost exclusively reporting other "news" (I use this term loosely, they report on some right shit, but non-Covid related matters) as a posed to being filled with, up until very recently, a stream of absolute nonsense that seemed to be aimed exclusively at making us think the end was still imminently nigh.

They even ran something yesterday (I believe) with a headline about scientists saying further lockdowns are very unlikely. Which is quite a u-turn from their usual editorial position of "we're fucked, and we're fucked forever". It's almost like somebody (the government?) have made the decision to tell them to pack it in and stop whipping up fear in the masses. Or they realise the tide of public opinion has just turned sufficiently that we're all now fed up of it. Either way, it's refreshing.

By mid-April about 60% of the vaccine doses administered in the country were Sinopharm, with the rest Indian-made AstraZeneca vaccine doses, Bloomberg reported.
That China jab must be next to useless.

I've been saying for months that this thing has shown women (as a general sweep, obvs) to be way way way more cautious about everything than men, which in turn has made me wonder a few things about humanity more broadly. Will, for instance, women's liberation lead to a stalling in human progress, because they're not interested in the mad risks that men take, 80% of which fail and 20% of which drive the species forward?

Or is women's liberation needed to rein in the risk-taking men and settle everything down for a few centuries?

    Who could say.

100 non-binaries in that lot. I'm lucky if I see one a week at work.

EDIT: A third of those surveyed are under 18. What fucking sample size is that?

I just picked the soonest appointment I could.

Woke up at 2am proper shivering and after sorting that out then woke up again at 5am boiling hot. I’ve been awake for about 18 minutes to date since then.

    Fun times.

Was talking to a friend from school today who had his yesterday and this is textbook AZ response apparently. I could have been in for Pfizer on Monday with the wife but the health authorities here seem to have lost all trace of my existence.

    I somehow have Covid.

Been feeling a bit ropey for a few days, so did my CIVIC DUTY and got a test. Came back positive today.

I actually feel more or less fine, just a bit tired and a pathetic cough but I'm off work with the dying swan act now. Doesn't even go on my sickness record.

Just trying to stay out of my wife's way now, but chances are she's an asymptomatic case and infected me, because someone at her work was off with it a few weeks ago.

Are false positives a thing with the proper tests? Because this honestly just feels like a cold.

Or they're mixing results up. Dunno.

I dunno, I know a fair few people of all ages that have been knocked out by it.

This is so minor I was wondering if I had developed hayfever. I only went for the test because the Mrs said I should.

I've asked a mate to drop one of his spare lateral flow tests through the letter box because I don't buy it.

Have you seen how they are categorising variants now?

    B.1.617.

    Desperate to terrify people.

Their 5 minutes of fame is over, but similar to last time those mouthpieces who shouted the loudest once they knew which side of the fence to fall on will be revered for years and be the 'expert' on things like this until they retire.

Don't think there are many false positives with PCRs. You probably just have it mildly.

My guy is panicking because he isn't dying in a wheelchair like how he was told this shit goes down. Imagine having that rug you've built that sorry life of yours on for the last year be pulled from underneath you with such zest.
