of course he can. He's had to for the best part of a year, and still is. That's the point. we're discussing normality you tart.
That's a weekend figure, so it's a bit lower than the norm. I think the rolling average is 23 or something. Which is still basically nothing and we don't face restrictions for anything else killing 23 people per day.
Deaths should absolutely be the number we're watching. Cases are more or less irrelevant if the vaccine is 100% effective at preventing serious illness. Sadly, the government/media lead everything with whatever data sounds worst.

I don't think I know a single person that actually uses this and they're not exactly putting in much effort to convince us to either. Why are they bothering?
I forgot it even existed until I saw it on my mums phone yesterday. So the only person I know with it is someone who was shielding and couldn’t go anywhere anyway.

I'd love to see the usage data. It must be sub 5% of the population.
I downloaded it but I don't think I've ever opened it.
I was put off when a guy at work told me he received a notification advising him to isolate, which then promptly vanished.
It doesn't work and even if it did our population wouldn't use it properly, beyond VARIANTS (still waiting for one that will screw us) I don't know why it isn't just binned. Someone must be on a big lunch out of it continuing.
#pintwatch
That's a lot of effort just just so you can post a photo of yourself in a pub(garden) on Instagram.
Anyone had a pint yet? Two weeks today for the Jocks
There must have been a good five-hundred people queuing outside Primark an hour or so ago, with about half that for H&M. Mental.
I'll wait until it's civil. I still have a picture on my phone of the first pint (Staropramen, The Plough, Byfleet) after the first lockdown, might end up with a nice ceiling collage.
Got anally raped by the cost of a haircut for myself and my two-year-old son (Ł22.50! His was Ł10 ffs) but he no longer looks neglected and I don't look homeless. Queued behind 4 others from 7am, was out by 8.30. Weirdly not the longest I've ever waited at the barber's either.
Perm.
In which case you may have underpaid for such a stylish 'do.
If his 2 year old is anything like mine, then his haircut will have taken 3 times longer than any adults.
Ł25 it cost me for a hair cut and a beard trim. Usually I get change from a Ł20 and giving a tip from the same place.
Still, my head feels much better.
I got my haircut today and it's so short I could cry.
Post a pic of it.
That's Jack Torrence.
Probably a fat cunt.
My hair is also gone.
Need to bump the lockdown hair thread with before and after shots
I'm a twit
That was a fun thread, and we should have a serious discussion about banning the remaining mugshot holdouts.
Started the day with a climbing session, hit up 3 pubs and then back to a house for afters. The highlight was one of the urinals which had loud music so it almost felt like a club momentarily, if you closed your eyes.
I don't want to exagerrate but every fucking useless dumb gash queuing for Primark is ten times the person that sat at home doing the same shit they have been doing for the past fuck knows how long is.
I want to see Bernanke grimacing in his chair before this is over with.
Was the gash glorious and willing Tazman.
The rules have changed, his height hasn't.
Ramadan Mubarak to all my brothers and sisters; may Allah bless us this holy month with happiness and prosperity and beer gardens.

Paging Dr Yev.
On the first day the clubs open, he'll get turned away for trying to bring his bike in.
I can imagine Australia will be bang up for keeping the borders shut forever. Pretty sure most people in most countries would, actually.
Astonishing. The shifting of goalposts in the last few months has really been a sight to behold.
I don't know if these people realise that they've literally become the worst form of anti-vaxxers it's possible to be. They're advocating people have it and then saying it isn't a solution, all from a position of authority/power.
That's surely far more damaging than an idiot in a basement/Russian or Chinese misinformation farms claiming it's sent by Bill Gates to control us.

Apparently it's the lockdown bringing the deaths down, not the (100% effective at preventing serious illness) vaccine.
Well I would say he's right. Vaccinations are one part of the puzzle but the lockdown has been the direct contributor right now to reducing cases and deaths. Longer term, with more vaccinated, it will be due to the vaccines.
J&J recommended to be paused:
