Bowling.
Are we sure Quincy isn't on the wind up? He loves playing devil's advocate.
It’s not just about the risk to the individual. You’ve got the mild and moderate illness that transmission could cause. We’ve got a duty to protect the people who can’t get the vaccine or are otherwise vulnerable: pregnant women, the immunosupressed etc.
China has announced a new case of a lady who has previously received a double dose of a unspecified vaccine back in January.
Fuck France they tour here in the winter.
2020 only the 9th highest death rate in the last 20 years. I thought it would have been higher...

That'll do it.
If they are it isn't because of the vaccine.
I don't think the starting position is one from good faith though Yev. Nothing wrong with trying to understand how something works but the questions have been on the crank side which suggests a lack of faith in the.... SCIENCE.
What were restrictions like in France, Germany etc. before the current spike in cases?
Keeks, completely wrong my friend. Whereas Yev is bang on.
My questions were entirely without agenda. Just wanted to find some unbiased info on it all.
Dunno about Germany, but in France they never locked down again this year - no large gatherings, but things like cafes and restaurants were always open.
This is only anecdotal but I suspect they have a harder time with lockdown compliance than we do, which may have led Macron not to order the 'third confinement' as they call it.
What I've found interesting there (I read their press a fair bit for language reasons) is that other things knock covid off the headlines much more so than they do here.
Sadly, you can't ask any questions about THE SCIENCE without being dismissed as a crank.
It's a dangerous slippery slope. But no matter, I get to get drunk in public again soon.
Put the passport away Spikey.

In other news, my wife's friend was vaccinated yesterday but she had a baby about 2 weeks ago and is breastfeeding.
I didn't think breastfeeding women were being vaccinated?
Edit:.
Apparently they are.

This story about Pfizer's EU production facilities being heavily dependent on stuff made in the UK promises to make this whole fiasco even more lol.
I've got the Lake District booked for September, just in time for the 5th or 6th wave.
Portugal in October maybe looking dicey.
I see that the morons are out in force at Hyde Park to protest against lockdown. What the fuck is wrong with these idiots? We're nearly done with this shit.
We were going to have an anti-mask/anti-lockdown protest here today, then the organisers were told they'd all be facing £10k fines.
We come out of lockdown on Monday.
Although it's been an interminable slog (February was particularly bad), there's no doubt that this lockdown has bought us enough time to vaccinate what is now over half the adult population, meaning that total immunity must be really starting to push up towards herd.
Once the clocks go forwards next week it's happy days, basically.
Aye, today was great. Proper weather and Durham was packed. It almost felt normal.
Part of me wonders if the anti-mask / Fauxvid19 community will be as sad to see the back of this as the ZeroCovid mob will be.
Anyone protesting lockdowns at this stage is purely doing so because they enjoy doing so.
Can't wait for the photos of police manhandling these protesters
711,156 vaccines given today.
Anybody have the numbers on what vaccines are being given? It’s all AstraZeneca among people I know.
Think most of the current first dose supply is AZ.
I only know one person that's had Pfizer. Everyone else has had AZ (although many have just said "had my vaccine", so no idea with them.)
Isn't America sitting on all the Pfizer jabs?
I had the AZ and so did everyone else in my family that has had it other than my Sister who got the Pfizer.
I think my nan and grandad had the Pfizer because they got it weeks ago, but my parents got the OXFORD-AstraZeneca one last week. My mother knows a care worker who had been ducking appointments for weeks because she didn't want one of the foreign muck ones. Probably killed about a dozen people in that time.
There was some absolute knob in the Post Office the other day, who used to come into my old work, Tom goddamn Doyle. He’s been about 80 for 20 years, and always had the same pair of glasses, that make him look exactly like the old man on Up. He was queueing as I was leaving and I just heard some bricky type say to him “whoa gimme some space there fella” then looked up and added “you’ve not even got a mask on you daft cunt.”
I'm a twit
33 deaths. Lowest since October.
Don't the job centre hand out SIA badges like confetti? I'm sure they'll be fine

They're all dead.
