It is actually snowing here, surprisingly. The ground's too wet for it to settle though.

Snow is an utter bastard when you have to go anywhere in it, but it has made the kids days today. Making snowmen, snow angels, having snowball fights over the fence with next door. It's been a good day.

Had decent snow two weeks ago on the sunday, a flurry a week after and nothing today, but is apparently meant to snow quite heavily Thursday/Friday. Don't think we'll get a Snow Day though.
It managed to settle on the pavement and roads overnight and it's still going strong now. What a glorious win for Team Work From Home this is.

Last time we had snow we had some of that weird non-sticky won't roll into a ball shit and there was a specific explanation as to why that was the case (something about how the water freezes).
It's the type of snow they get in the mountains, although we should be relatively safe from the Avalanche risk.
There’s about 3/4 inches here but we’re now back at amber and yellow warnings until Wednesday which means there will be fuck all more. We’ve had snow warnings every week for nearly a month and it ended up flooding instead.

Up to my shins in the grass. Not bad, probably the worst I’ve seen it as living just off the beach meant getting fuck all and never having a snow day in my life.

Every time we have snow round here I manage to be on holiday. Going right back to March 2013 when we were in Cuba. Since then we missed the 2018 "bEaSt" by being in The Canaries and even last years single day of snow by being at Centre Parks.
I always thought I liked snow and felt a bit hard done by about it. I was wrong. It's fun for a day but this is absolutely shit. Having the kitchen in the extension off the lounge, with no door in between, doesn't help. It's absolutely fucking freezing. The heating is no match for it.
Let me tell you, the current bullshit is nothing compared to 2018 and the mighty Beast. We shall never see its like again.
That year went on to be one of the great summers as well. Here's hoping.
My weather app reckoned it was gonna get down to -12 at some point this week but it looked like it's eased off now. It's not even snowing any more, just cold enough to keep everything mostly in place
The issue is usually after the snow. It’s always quite moderate temperature wise when it’s snowing. We’re due ‘feels like’ -10 tonight and tomorrow
2009 - 2010 was the big one. I was sat in a -19c Birmingham for that. May nothing like that ever happen again.

That was sensational. Whole place came to a stop for what felt like weeks. Dundee United had a game called off for like 6 weeks in a row because it was a danger to walk to the ground heh

Mine goes to my guttering so I’ve tried pouring some boiling water in there but it seems to be frozen further down the pipe and can’t access it from the loft, so sorta scratching my head. Will try blasting it with a hairdryer from the outside tomorrow cos wasn’t enjoying being up a ladder in the dark with a kettle in one hand and a torch in the other. Cold night tonight!

I've encountered various cold scenarios before and have never found a better remedy than simply putting on all the clothes I have, at the same time.
