I watched Lupin with my wife. Apart from being complete shit, it just ends after five episodes without any conclusion to anything whatsoever. TV shows have become a total waste of time.

Taskmaster. I've watched Series 5 & 7. Is 4 my next best bet?
I really enjoyed 10. 8 & 9 were weak and everything before 5 was good, I think.
The only weak season is 6.
Fuck Russell Howard, Asim Chaudhry & Tim Vine.
9 is not weak at all.
All of Taskmaster is worth watching. Sure there are better series but even the worst ones are okay.
Except series 6. I’d rather watch any of the other series twice, than watch series 6.

The first two episodes of The Investigation are pretty good. Finding it quite compelling viewing even though I know exactly what happens having read the Wikipedia page 20 times.
It's a Sin is brilliant.
I want to watch that but sense I will really have to be in the right mood.
Into the BBC stuff at the moment. Traces was a decent enough 6 parter based in Dundee around a forensic unit, could have actually benefited from a few more episodes.
Onto the Serpent. The first episode was the worst nightmare of all parents ever with people going missing all over Thailand in the 70s. Looks good.
Anyone watching The Stand?

I forgot it was being made but spotted it the other day. Any good so far?
It's one of those where I want to read the book first. But the 1000 plus page breeze block that is the book as has been sat starting at my on my "to-read" pile for about two years.
No.
I’ve seen the other tv (film?) adaption and can’t remember it in great detail, but I remember it being boring as soon as they got to the new settlement. The new one has tried to avoid that by switching back and forth between before and after, but the fact that the characters are all ridiculous means it’s still absolute shite. It’s just dreadful. I’m five episodes into the nine episode series so will soldier on, but I’m not enjoying it at all.

Original X-Files (plus the weird, in-between second movie) finished and on the the new ones. The first two have been really good. I like the whole "X-Files but with much better effects" thing. And the Mulder and Scully chemistry is a good as it ever was. It's been a promising start. I know it doesn't last very long though and (I think?) has now come to a quite abrupt end, which is annoying
Scully’s voice disturbs me.

Been watching Close Enough on Netflix. Quite trippy in places, irreverant, funny. Some good cameos too.
But completely understandable.
Its not often theres anything thats not a turd on Apple TV but For All Mankind is half decent. Bit long winded in places but good enough to keep pressing Next Episode.
First episode of The Serpent was grim. Grim but riveting. My wife is leaving me to watch it on my own from now on.
For All Mankind was excellent. Cant wait for season 2.
Ted Lasso was very good too. It sounds like itll be terrible, but its quite funny and endearing.
Servant also looked good, and I enjoyed the first couple of episodes, but it was freaking me out (the plot is about a mother who has replaced her deceased baby with a doll as a coping mechanism) as I had a little baby in the house at the same time.
It's good, isn't it? Probably my favourite thing I've watched it a while. Have you finished it? I'm really looking forward to season two.
I've started watching Ted Lasso and I agree that whilst on paper it probably should be shit, it's just got a lot of charm and heart to it that I really like.
I've thought about that Servant thing as well but I am slightly put off for the same "creepy baby stuff" reasons that you listed. I mean, I don't have one of my own (I can only imagine that adds to the problem!) but stuff like that creeps me out a bit as it is.
Servant was messing with my head in a bad way. Maybe now my kid is a bit older and approaching toddler-hood it might be ok.
Another Apple TV+ show recommendation: Mythic Quest. Its the best show of the lot actually. Its got Rob McElhenney (Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Wrexham FC) playing the head of a games studio. Its absolutely brilliant.
Its about a WoW-type game, so its pretty nerdy. Ive never seen Silicon Valley.
I’ll give it a watch when the world is back to normal and I actually have time to myself.

I'm in the middle of watching ep 1 right now and I keep having to stop because, I dunno, I just do. It is already great though.
Got through ep1 in the end. If it's all like this (and presumably it will get more intense as it goes on), it might be too much to handle. The quality is so high.
Gave Mrs Maisel a bit of break purely because it's going to be a while before series 4 drops, I was planning on holding out for longer but I couldn't and thus watched series 3 over the last few days.
It's not as good as series 2 but I do think it edges the first. Just.

Gangs of London really is an absolute banger. I understand it's made by the same people who did The Raid, and some of the action is cartoonishly over the top as expected, but it's quality entertainment.
Is that a Sky effort?
Looks like it's Sky Atlantic yeah.
Ted Lasso looks and sounds like it should be an abomination but I'm yet to see anyone with much bad to say about it.
I liked it. As long as you don't take it too seriously, it's a nice little show, with only a few shit bits.
It's next on the list anyway to fill the gap until series 2 of For All Mankind.

I thought it might just be cause I was mad horny cause even Samantha Morton looked dece on WILTY but Sarah Hadland is top tier premium milf.
I'm watching Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday, where a rich family and a poor family swap holidays. I never know why the rich families do these things, but the one tonight is the ugly bunch behind this stuff. To say these people are self-made millionaires they seem like the thickest bastards imaginable, who surely can't have formulated these products, so is it some Herbalife branding-type thing?
Im looking to downgrade my mom's tv, home phone and broadband package. She only watches BBC and ITV and the catchup apps. Am I right in thinking I can cut off Virgin TV and get a Freeview box that has a hard drive. It needs to be mom-proof with an easy interface. Any suggestions?
