Up to 1,127 packs now. Decided to do MM and buy the golds I need for La Liga tomorrow, which will take me to over 1,150. I could be pushing 1,200 to start with a few more objectives under my belt.
If we get the full team tomorrow for a week I'll either start opening them late evening UK or Saturday morning. Don't want to start while lightning round filth is happening.
I'm so hyped now, but very ready to be disappointed and have to wait until next Friday.
Well even if the unthinkable happens and you don't get anything in all of those packs, then it's time to splash all of the coins on players instead.

Worst case Yev you can just buy TOTY players and craft a fuckton of Icons (or save all the fodder for a massive Prime Icon SBC splurge once that appears).

I saw earlier the back end of the site was updated with TOTY reveals for the following clubs: Madrid, City, Liverpool and PSG.
The latter would make things very interesting indeed as it would suggest Messi would miss out and also make the 12th man thing even more interesting.

Marco Van Basten is now joining Karl-Heinz Rumminegge as players I don't want to use in Pro Evo. I had to bring on Marcelo Salas to bail us out in a Regular difficulty cup match. Marcelo scored a hat trick in no time. I've had Gazza score his first for us, as well.

Suarez is done. I only had 10 or so packs so thought I'd crack them open. Got Kimmich as a walkout, so more fool me I guess.
Tried out Suarez and as expected he just feels too slow.
Decided to try my picks last night instead in the hopes of a Robert.
Sadly I did not get him but I did get a couple of 86's & 84's from the 80+ PP's and a Ter Stegen from the 84+ which isn't too bad.
Found myself in a bit of a hole when it comes to where to take the team next. I run this now:
My 2 problem spots are LB and CDM. Though I am down to 10k in coins. Mendy was once the most expensive player in the team, now he has seen everyone around him upgraded. Unfortunately there just aren't many great LB options out there. The one I am tempted to do is put in Sinkgraven. He is quite a bit better than Mendy at everything, bar physically and 5* WF.
However that leads me to the 2nd positon. My defensive minded midfielder. I currently use Wijnaldum and the game has really caught him up of late. Zakaria looks an amazing CDM but linking all of that together would be a problem.
The links thing is what lead me to look at an Icon project long term. Carlos would solve a lot of problems but EA were tosspots and cut the time way short on him. Same for Cannavaro.
This has turned me towards Kaka. He has the longest time left and looks to have the longest shelf life of those there. The problem is that I don't want to start doing that card and figure out only too late that I can't finish 1 or 2 of the last SBCs. So yeah, I feel in a bit of a hole.
9-1 so far in the WL. I'll take a run at getting to 14 later.
I also may have judged Suarez too soon. He's come off the bench twice for me and he has scored winners. I'm actually tempted to punt Aouar and use him as a CAM in the 3-5-2. That does however massively throw the starting lineup off.
I reckon he'd make a great CAM in a 3-5-2.
He's great at everything and him being fixed to 4*/4* helps too. He's even a good FK and penalty taker. He just doesn't have that burst to get away.
An Engine or a Catalyst seems best to me. The former makes his dribbling essentially perfect while the latter makes his passing perfect but adds a bit of extra pace.
I'd be tempted with an Artist.
Oh and what's the deal with the week 4 silver online friendlies objective? Just played a match in the silver lounge and it didn't count.

Been using a bunch of Icons in this Suarez Objective. Done about a third of it and used the following:
MATS
Zanetti - meh, replaced with Tavernier
Hierro - meh, replaced with Klaiber
Cannavaro - awesome. Really strong and reads the game well. Makes me want to do his SBC
Bob Carlos - great. Rapid and great in both directions
Figo - surprisingly great. Good finisher, pops up in nice spots
Maradona (97) - really shit, couldn't pass and very one-footed. Dropped for Kante
Zidane (91) - immense
Kaka (91) - also a bit shit. Weak and average passing. Dropped for O. Dembele
Henry (90) - got him out of the Icon SBC. Just can't get on with him. Should be great but is terrible. Will sacrifice into Cannavaro quite possibly

Ran through the Bundesliga as I wanted a Jumbo Rare Players/Ultimate and Bundesliga was the easiest for me to run through with my current lack of resources.
I'm also thinking of cutting my losses with Telles. He's now down to 44k (fuck me), Ole hates him and I'm really low on coins right now plus I hate having 12 spots locked up with someone who doesn't look like he'll ever recover in price.

The 750k or so loss I'm looking at right now is incredibly brutal. But I'm down to just 27k with little in the club for league SBCs. 7:30 seems to be the new time for content for some reason. Moments Dybala for an 84 and 85 w/ IF. Not too bad.
As for the TOTY midfielders it's very odd. KDB highlights it but the TOTY boosts just aren't there this year. Kimmich for example is stellar, but he should be god tier.
Dybala looks good. Not sure about dropping 200k on an upgrade to Correa though.
I am loving Suarez in the SB's I have used him in so far. Just feels very clinical.
