It's in my house and I think I might have discovered I have it through the medium of not really being able to smell twiglets properly.
A dignified beginning to a dignified end, clearly.

It does appear to be widerife now.
It’s what people deserve
Still too lenient though looking down the thread. Should have canned all visits from today.
I see THE VARIANT has reached Cumbria.
NI is just waving the new strain in. No travel restrictions.
"People in tiers 1 to 3 are being told to stay local and tier 4 aren't allowed to leave their tier 4 area so no one shluld be coming in anyway." Thay was (some of the parties in) the executive's argument. Have they learnt nothing throughout this?
Yeah, learning from the past isn't one of our strengths.
Those drive through test centres are a better set up than the drive through at KFC. Done and dusted in 15 minutes.
The DUP voted against restrictions, obviously. But the UUP and the Alliance also voted against it. Given how pragmatic Robin Swann, our health minister from the UUP, has been throughout, I was surprised by that.
The numbers are absolutely awful going into the Christmas relaxation.
Why didn't they just extend the November lockdown for another 2-4 weeks and really hammer the numbers down?
January is going to be a complete nightmare.
Once the deaths go down from the vaccine I can't see how it won't improve fairly quickly. Cases are just cases, they're no reason to shut everything down, it's cases that lead to spreading into the vulnerable for deaths which are the issue.
Jimmy, the voice of reason. Everyone needs to calm down. Remember the vast majority who get this will be absolutely fine.
Don't think anyone here is scared of dying, more dreading going back into lockdown for another 2+ months, which we will be.

Who exactly is going into the hospitals... Presumably only the over-50/60's (5m people)? Can't you just vaccinate everyone over 50 and basically return to normal as you take 6 moths vaccinate everyone else? Isn't the death rate for under 50's something below 1 in 2000 (I could be making that up).
That's the plan, Stan.
Isn't January and February flu season too?
Yup. Although it's not going around as much as normal because of the social distancing / nothing being open / nobody going anywhere apparently.
The twitter 'slow vaccine rate' calculators need to have their doses replaced by a lethal injection. Just total idiocy amid the genuine belief they are quite clever.
Continuing the BBC website front page curiosity, why is this - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55316924 - from 7 days ago - currently front and centre?
Mate of mine has it. First person I’ve known with it I think. Said his just feels like a sinus infection.
I’d feel there was something more wrong if I didn’t have sinus shit. Snorted up a thing the other day that was like a lump of silicone.
My facebook currently has a family (or family friend - the family's too big to really figure out who is who) on a covid ward. Looks like she's on oxygen.
The news is unwatchable atm. Might chuck myself off a bridge.
36,804 cases and 691 deaths.
Rookie numbers.

It must be shit for these lorry drivers being stuck in Kent (nobody wants to get stuck in Kent), but they're making a bit much out of this "the drivers are having to sleep in their lorries" stuff. That's where they always sleep ffs.
Why haven't these French fucks opened the border yet. My sainsburys didn't have any fresh produce.
You’re doing it wrong. You’re meant to post gloating posts when someone else is suffering with it. It’s the TTH way. Magic is probably on his 3rd celebratory west coast cooler.
Giggles it's getting closer to you mate.
There we go. The child destroyer wades in to prove my point like clockwork.
