Do they not even announce a few new features at the launch announcement any more? Seems like the biggest update is a new colour scheme. £35 pliz.
Slow and steady these days.
I didn't realise FM20 was on Game Pass for PC.
Would you retrain this boy, with his 15 tackling and shite dribbling? What position?
His balance is woeful. Sell up.
Pressing forward.
I'm a twit
13 and 14 is hardly woeful anyway. It'll end up being 16ish.
+1 for Pressing forward.
He's a bit of a Herrera - good engine and can get up and down and move the ball on. Probably be fine in a midfield three.
Other option is LB.
Hi guys, that'll be OK for this game won't it? Mines just beyond broke and this one is available for £200.
It'll run it, but it won't tear through it. Tiny screen resolution by modern standards though, I have a cheap 11" laptop with a 1366x768 screen and even in that form factor, it looks complete ass. It'll look worse on a 14". If there are any options with a slightly better screen, that'd def be worth a few more quid.
Cheers, Clunge. I've broken mine beyond repair to the point it doesn't even connect to WiFi unless I'm sat on top of router. I don't want to spend a fortune. Is it better than what I was using?
The specs are, definitely. Depends really how much you value the screen I guess. I wouldn't be able to play FM on a screen with that resolution personally.
This one? It's £330 but I reckon I can get him to £300.
That would be better in every respect. No SSD but hey-ho.
I think I'll bite the bullet and grab it in that case. Hopefully it'll be sufficient for FM21 too.
Thanks again.
Just bought the full version as I only had touch. Here we go!
New one's out in 46 days.

Your point? It's never good to go straight from the off and I doubt much will have been added other than the usual update.
YDWAWK save or otherwise. I'll leave it for you chaps to decide but that's the club I'll be using.
You can only sign players with the surname Smith and you have to get rid of anyone that doesn't ASAP.
I love that idea, actually. However, typing Smith there's only 200 players available so perhaps I can only sign players that have my entire name in? So I can sign Tim's, Rhys's. William's and Smith's?
I considered doing that with Coles during a CM save when 3 of them came through the ranks. I stopped caring, though.
I'm going for it but I'm fully anticipating the sack so I'll just see how far I can take my 'career'. If a player shares any part of my name in theirs, be it first, middle or surname, I can have them.
Let's go.
EDIT: This is going to be a complete overhaul if I have to get rid of them straight away as I have just one player sharing any name of mine.
EDIT2: Sorry Spikey, it ain't happening. I'm going to have to get myself acquainted with the full version as it's so much different to touch.

Make your own tactic.

I'm not good enough tbh. I'm installing Touch atm, the full version is too much given I've only got six weeks until the new one is out so maybe it's best to do it then.
I've pretty much just purchased, downloaded and installed. I want to start low down the ladder but at the same time with FM21 being not too far off I know I'll end up getting that.
I'm off to do some miles so I'll be back on this evening. If you could all suggest some more challenges and what not then I'll give it a go. I mean let's face it, I've got all the time in the world now we're locked down again and a laptop that'll run faster than a snail.
Only sign players who have been at 5 or more clubs in their career.
A journeyman leading journeymen.
Adopt a basque only recruitment policy with a smaller team in the region. Eibar, Alaves, Osasuna.
That, but Cardiff / Swansea and only Welsh players.
As long as they're not some English cunt pretending to be Welsh, yes.
I might do one of those myself actually. I'd do an S6 Boi's one, but I don't think you can search for players by county of birth?
I still want to do a carthorse save but it seemed more hassle than it was worth making a custom club.
Probably common knowledge, but you could use rate my tactic to help you out? I was always useless with tactics because I could never decide whether I was striking a balance or completely contradicting myself with instructions, but I've done quite a lot of reading on the tactical aspect of the game in the past few years (in general, not just FM) and something like rate my tactic can be used as a guide.

From Reddit, the most insane Championship season I've seen:
Similarly:
I'm a twit
Won my first major trophy.
AFC Asian Cup 2039:
Absolutely walked through the teams to the final. I knew we'd get there but I didn't expect us to carve through teams that easily, especially Japan.
The final:
So close to getting FM'd. We were all over Australia and losing our RB early hurt us, luckily we got a late goal and we managed to take it in extra time.
THE LIST:
FIFA Club World Cup
UEFA Champions League
UEFA Conference League
UEFA Super Cup
African Champions League
Copa Libertadores
O-League (Oceanic Champions League)
Asian Champions League
North American Champions League
International competitions:
FIFA World Cup
Olympics
UEFA European Championship
Nations Leaue
African Cup of Nations
Copa America
Oceanic Nations Cup
Asian Nations Cup
North American Gold Cup
Still a lot to do and I'm determined to finish the list. No international jobs in the right continents right now unfortunately.
The game has got a little bit confussed. Currently challenging for the Premier League with 8 games to go and get this news.

I never got around to even starting, I figured I'd just hold fire until the new version arrives. Beta is out on the 10th, I think it was. I'm just going to go balls deep with Oxford City again when that happens.
Just loaded FM20 up for the first time as it's free with Game Pass. There seems to be a few new little add-ins that are interesting. For example that objectives screen I've not seen before. I did a quick load in with Liverpool just to have a look around. They have a few that are listed as requirements, such as within 5 years expanding the stadium, maintaining stature as Englands most reputable club, staying self sustainable etc.
How importantly do the boards take these things? For example, if I just leave the stadium as is, is my job going to be under threat despite winning a few things?
I like that you can instil an automatic code of conduct within the team too. I've also noticed that the loading times are very fast between continues. It may be because I've no facepacks or anything and I only loaded the EPL, but it seemed very zippy.
Palermo 2038/39 Season Update:
We had an OK season but Inter had a brilliant one. 86 is the highest runners up points since 32/33 and would have seen us win the league in all but one of the seasons in between. We were 3 points behind them with the final two games and Juventus fucked us.
Cup:
We were finally able to beat Inter in a cup final \0/.
Europe:
The first leg against Real was huge. We were 4-1 down but we managed to score 2 late on to give us a chance in the second leg and we took it.
Final:
A cagey game with both of us having early goals ruled out but we managed to hold on to win it against the scumbags.
Transfers In:
I found this guy for £900k and snapped him up as he can play across the backline. Didn't play too much but did well when called upon.
I wanted to sign him last year but Lille wanted £120m. They only wanted £59m this year and I snapped him up to have arguably the best young CM duo in the game.
I had been keeping an eye on this guy since he was 17 and as my strikers were being a bit crap this year I signed him for £38.5m. Scoring a goal in the final of the Champions League was pretty nifty.
Squad stats:
A bit of a strange season as Fabozzo who is usually my best performer didn't do much, neither did Mohammed and Georgievski and my big Kenyan Njuguna were crap.
I'll be leaving as I need to get the crapped European trophies done (I see my list has the Conference League listed but not the Europa, I think I'll swap that) so I think I'll go to England to a team with crap finances.
I've also been handed the Mexcio job and hopefully I'll be able to capture the Gold Cup in a little bit.
I couldn't say no. They finished 6th in the Bundesliga last season so I've got a chance at the Europa.
Here is the squad:
Key player:
Looks pretty fucking great tbh.
Youth prospect:
I think he looks quite tidy.
Reunions:
I bought him about 9 years ago when I was at Pyramids for £115k.
He was one of the first players I bought at Palermo for just £6k.
Our transfer budget is £112m and we have £280k p/w free right now. I also do need to slash a lot of the squad.
