Oh god yes all the wrestling themes. Why did I not think of that?
No Big Show sadly, which would be the perfect one.
The Doctor of Thuganomics Cena entrance would work really well too.

Five is one of the greatest video games of all time.
The bit I enjoyed until it became intolerable would maybe make my top 5 for that year.
I'd love to play it again but there is not a chance oh me playing through that intro again.
I tried it again and stopped at the same "Oh it's doing bullshit now" point but I did so by finding a save file that skipped the intro.
Yeah, the game should stop at the Metal Gear fight.
I daresay one of the greatest games of all time doesn't have a poisonous intro, interminable gameplay or any input at all from Hideo Kojima. Some excellent mechanics and attention to detail but it's all dragged down by the horrendous dross they shovelled in with it.
The series peaked with 4, possibly 3.
They're all very different but V's the best playing one. Watching 3 back, that's got genuine campy charm. And the lack of a radar made the stealth meaningful again. It's a shame all the tone of the series vanished when Kojima wanted to make something serious with V. You get the hamburger tapes. That's it.
I've got V downloaded on Xbox, because I loved it so much when I had it on Playstation, but it's just such a huge game, and yeah...that opening.
Still holding out hope they remake MGS1 ,2 and 3 sometime.
I genuinely still think the original is the best. 3 did my tits in as well. Fucking endless conversations about CQC.
interminable gameplay isn't a bad thing when it's literally some of the best gameplay ever made.
Two is my favourite.
V is the first one I haven't finished, there was just too much of it. With the first I'd pore over every detail and remember the original demo alone giving me hours of gameplay but I don't have the patience or concentration these days. I did like having Kids In America blaring out over the Afghan desert though, of all the things they'd come up with in an MGS game I would never have guessed Kim Wilde.
Troy Total War free on Epic Games today only.
Grabbed it earlier. I've been wanting to play some Total War for a while, so I'll give it a whirl. I'll probably drop it after two hours.
A Creative Assembly game at release? Not even for free.
I've only played Rome for like, ten minutes total in the years I've owned it. I'm a bad person, aren't I?
Beyond A Steel Sky (sequel to the 1994 game Beneath...): https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/beyond-a-steel-sky-review/ - was mildly obsessed with the original back in the day
I see Tony Hawk Pro Skater got a modern-day refresh. Looks really good.
The demo being locked behind a preorder can fuck off.
I pre-ordered physically so don't have the demo, but it does indeed look great.

I am enjoying Odyssey. It's probably partly the swankier PC bits but it really is a lovely world to spend time in and I've farted about with the photo mode a fair bit.
Got to Athens last night, it's always good in an AssCreed when you get to the big famous bit for the first time.
I completed Hades. It's a really, really, really, good combat roguelike. Give it a go if you can.

I appreciate a video game title that doesn't fuck around.
It came today. It literally had gathered dust and a fair bit of it. It's a PS4 Slim so it was easy enough to open up and clean it out and it looks good as new now. The controller has some stick drift issues which I don't think will be as easy to fix.
Still, went into town and traded 2 Xbox games that are now on Gamepass anyway and paid Ł1 to change them into Horizon: Zero Dawn and God of War. I could have bought Death Stranding outright but I thought 2 games are better to have than 1.
Welcome to the dark side.
Did you infer that my appreciation for a daft, blunt game title made me think the attached games are destined for success or something? Warface (which should really always be in capitals, as if being screamed) is also an excellent name, whether it 'worked out' for it or not.
Remnant: From The Ashes is a terrible name as so many with titles built around colons and hyphens are. Chuck backronyms onto the list as well. H.A.W.X.
Also, I'm now imagining that the game has a plot twist where the bank itself is what's evil and you, the manager, can deal with that how you please.
Tempted by that new golf game, but I will wait until it is revealed how much of a disaster it is before splurging.

I reviewed the other The Golf Club games and enjoyed them. I would like 2K to add more polish to it, mind. Hopefully they do that instead of just churning them out like they do with WWE.
How is it supposed to be played? Mouse or gamepad?
Not a clue. I've only played those games on console. Right stick goes up and down to swing and you've got modifiers to add slice, loft, etc.
Im a Golf Club mental, 100s of hours in all of em, thousands in the first one. Half my Youtube uploads are Golf Club shots and I used to be top ten in the UK at it, back when I was an unemployed lunatic.
This is the most accessible by far. You can fine tune difficulty with a ton of options. It can either be EA style with shot lines, simple swing or you can bump it up to Master where it doesnt show you wind speeds and your swing is ridiculously hard. I play on that difficulty and have barely been below par so far.
Plays a really good game of golf but being HB it looks about four years old and the commentary is shite if fun. Theres a career mode, you pick your starting point and compete and you can fine tune AI difficulty.
Star of the show as ever are the user created courses.
You can play mouse or pad. I use left stick swing on the Elite controller.

The the WB Montreal "Arkham" game is Gotham Knights.
Dead ("Dead") Batman's various proteges taking on the Court of Owls with co-op too.
Yeah there was one RPS posted about recently that was about a game with the colon / hyphen double-whammy and yet still had a meaningless title and I can't remember what it was but that's a good example of the type.
Dragon Quest XI is basically a kids game it seems. Not sure how everyone are raving so much about it online. But - I suppose so far it seems to keep me a bit stuck.
I need to restart Horizon Zero Dawn so probably will do that soon enough as well.
I finished Syphon Filter 2 at the weekend. I prefer it over Splinter Cell. It makes me think of what a Bond license game should've probably been instead of shooting and cars. The voice acting's all over the place, mind. There's two good ones, and then there's everyone else.
Mission Impossible on the N64 > Syphon Filter.
I've been given one of the red PS4 controllers by my sister in a "fix it and you can keep it" thing. The controller itself looks and feels as if it's brand new.
After some Google I've tried connecting it through the consoles bluetooth settings, hard reset and also tried the reset hole on the back of the controller. Still no joy. I'm assuming there's something up with the bluetooth on the controller itself but is there anything else I can do before I eventually bin it?
Play with it wired up?
Still doesn't connect that way. Tried a few cables too.
All I can think of is it's paired with something else or a button's stuck.
Red team represent.

I'm back on the Visual Novel nightmare. Cinders is supposed to be a dark retelling of Cinderella but it's not that dark, to be honest. Whoever's wrote this has put a lot of thought into Cinderella and deduced that ...
1) Cinderella isn't skint but lives in an abusive, fatherless household.
2) But the abuse is only ever verbal.
3) and they mean well.
4) And the Prince is having a masquerade ball because he reckons he'd rather pork a lass that looks nice, instead of marrying for status and breeding.
5) The fairy Godmother is a voodoo priestess. Complete with, "You wouldn't get away with that, these days." appearance.
6) There is a shady man who can't decide whether he's cockney or Scottish.
Free on GamePass too right?
