Ditto to this. I'm opening windows I didn't know existed and trialling the fan in various places to get some airflow going because it's not too bad outside but it's not working a great deal. Fucking modern insulation.
You should all go to ASDA and get a 'Chillmax' fan, if they still have them. The air filter can be removed and frozen, and when you turn it on after having done that the relief is provides is incredible. The filter doesn't stay frozen for long in this heat, but it only costs about twenty quid so it's well worth the money.

Thursday is turning into a nice starter before Friday's peak heatwave. I've just gone to book it off work and realised I've lost 1 day's A/L that we get due to Queen's bday cause I missed the deadline to book. Sickening.

There is no optimal, it depends what you're doing. A day at the beach, optimal is 28. A day doing house / garden work optimal is 21. If anyone but me is doing something nice, optimal is all the rain god can produce.
