English, Maths and Science are pretty much bedrocks of education.

But yeah, your BTEC in Food Tech is more important m8.

Yeah but doing only those things because you need to 'catch up' is a reductive bollocks of an education.

Can confirm Maths alone will allow you to develop into a[n autistic] don of all things. Everything else is just bullshit fluff.

I was only responding to your first line, I assumed you were insulting Spikey because the very suggestion of me having a BTec in Food Tech would have resulted in a call to Carter Ruck.

Well this is just it. There's even evidence showing that too narrow a focus on English and Maths is not good for progress of pupils.

English, Maths and Science might be the bedrock, and are rightly the 'core' subjects, but you don't only use those skills and knowledge in those lessons.

In a sense, every other subject is just applied English and/or Maths, which is far more useful in many ways than the neat stuff.

English is hardly important the way it’s taught. Shouldn’t come in the same sentence as maths.

I only hope with these job cuts, they bring them back as soon as they're confident they can run the routes regularly.

It's the first of many dominoes. So many businesses rely on that airport, from those working there to the Taxi drivers outside, the train station opposite, the hotel outside it, etc. It's a huge loss to a town that has very few large employers.

There are loads of cross curricular links anyway, so it's not a massive deal. My literacy is based around my history topics of the Victorians and World War II.

Victoria's second wave now has 30 hotspots.

Apparently it can be traced to a family of ten people...

Edit: Stuff a fine send them to Manus Island!

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has raised the prospect of fines for people refusing to get coronavirus tests as Melbourne grapples with an outbreak.

    Mt Gambier.

Fuck off is that lake blue.

Looking it up, I never knew Bordertown wasn't actually on the border. Boo. What's the crack with travel in Oz anyway? I'm pretty sure some of my parents' friends have just driven from Victoria to FNQ, is that allowed or have they been hooning it on the back roads across state lines?

For just opening as normal. There’s a fairly tight set of rules around them being allowed to open.

Actually, thinking about it... Southend has a population of about 170,000. 20.8 per 100,000 is fuck all.

They were back around Durham for definite. I feel like we get away with it because the city itself barely has anyone besides students living there. Beyond the city centre, it's not really dense. I guess we'll find out once the pubs open, though. That has to be the biggest checkpoint.

Yikes Victorians will be forced into a 2 week quarantine in a hotel of the Govenments choosing at $200 a night. Probably doing some quality out back hooning.

Id be putting on fake QLD plates lol

    https://www.9news.com.au/national/co...1-b8eb2fef3ea5

I wish QLD born and bred residents could vouch for people as Id write a letter telling the Premier that, "Nah Yeah these two Victorians are fair dinkum good people let them through."

Edit: If you can pass message on that they are not from Victoria as we are all fucked in the head now about State borders.

I don't mean to gloat (and feel the wrath of John's anger), but I'm off to the beach this weekend, on a cracking little island off the coast.
No community transmissions here for 75 days, though there was a scare yesterday regarding an Indonesian guy - but turns out he is negative.

If I can find a number 2 Im off to see the Reds or the Lions this weekend. Ill probably go solo to the Lions on my lonesome as I live 500m down the road and my local bar is directly opposite the GABBA.

Explosive new claims made against private security at Victoria's hotel quarantine
The outlet also claims some guards were sleeping with guests, they shook hands and shared lifts and allowed guests to move between rooms to play cards.

10 000 for Lang Park and the GABBA. Western Australia will allow their new 60 000 seater to open at full capacity mid July.

2 people per booking is the min.

I saw a masked woman taking pictures of us when we were playing football yesterday. Then she pretended to be running but only did one very slow lap and left.

    2 metres to remain.
