You could've got a sim only deal for less than that. You've been overpaying for years.

Doesn't solve the problem that my phone is old and app support is dwindling for it.
Does your network do the Galaxy A51? They’re a good bet.
EDIT: Or wait a little while for the Pixel 4A.
Aye, they do. Unlimited data is £36 a month. I think I should sack unlimited data off. Turns out I don't use that much, even when I'm abroad.

The battery on my iPhone 7 is pants and the lure of 6 months of Disney+ if I upgrade has mr thinking about getting a new phone. A bigger screen would be boss too cos I use my phone absolutely loads for browsing the Internet.
Previously I bought my phone outright and just pay £15 a month sim only for 10gb data.
If I was to upgrade, say to the 11 Pro Max, it’s £300 upfront and £50 a month. Cost aside, I just know I’d love it. And with the next few months looking like I’ll be getting full pay and very little expenditure (just food shopping & bills, essentially) it seems as good a time as any to spaff three hundred quid.
I worry that come September when the new one is announced I’ll be like dawww I should have waited, especially if they manage to get rid of the bezel thing at the top of the screen.
I’d only have an iPhone though, for iMessage purposes.

I’d say there’s a good chance the notch will go this time round.
Someone made a video of what the iPhone 12 will be like if all the leaks/rumours so far are true:
I'm not keen on going back to the boxy SE-like shape.

One would suggest you don't pay money you don't have on doing so then. Scum.
That bun ain't half giving you some misplaced confidence.
When your mental health has you lashing out uncontrollably and some hero comes and humours it with a retort. God, I'm so hard rn
So many people have been calling for that design to return since the 6 came out, even still. Never liked it.
I've been on an 11 since Christmas going from a 6S. I had to charge the 6S up the other day to get access to an account and it feels like when you go to a primary school as an adult where all the tables and chairs are made for tiny children. So small.
Same. The 3GS is still my favourite shaped iPhone.

My contract is up with EE and I've decided to switch to a sim only plan. Is there any danger in me capping my 4G speed to 60Mbps?
Danger?
You'll just get slower speed, not mauled by a panther
Portrait mode on the 11 is really bad, the pixel 2 was better. Does the telephoto on the pro make up for it?
This is fucking sorely needed these days.

They already have my fingerprint.
Is anyone else's mobile data unusable at the moment?
Okay, I already hate this phone. I need to sort two things out.
1) Constant Apple ID sign-ins when I switch to wifi.
2) iMessage doesn't want to activate.
Youtube's not really helping.
What’s the cheapest way to get a SIM card to put into an old phone that can then receive text messages? Preferably receive phone calls too.
it will never need to send text messages, or make phone calls.

That’s the kind of question that could easily get you on a watchlist.
O2 used to give them away all the time but I don’t know of any that won’t cut you off unless there’s a top up within a certain timeframe.
My 4 year-old Samsung was really showing its age but the water damage from yday's meltdown walk has killed it off.
I ain't going apple and I don't want to be carrying a second 12 inch monstrosity. My current ting is 134.5mm/5.3 in (woi oi) tall. I don't think they do them this small any more but I need it similar size.
Reviews say point me to Galaxy s10e and Pixel 3a for small androids.
Any recommendations?

I have a OnePlus 6t and it has been fantastic. Apparently the 7t is even better.
Only downside to the 6t is no wireless charging. Buuuut, the cable charging is MEGA fast.
3a or wait a couple of weeks for the 4a.
That Oneplus is a little big and I can't wait for 4a.
Cheapest stocked 3a seems to be £300. Smarty (who?) are giving 30GB for £10 per month no contract or I could just stick to trusted BT and pay £26 per month for 24 months phone and SIM. Any objections please speak now or forever hold your peace.
Edit: BT giving 15GB SIM only for £12 per month on 12 month contract and £300 phone seems the best of both worlds.
Edit2: Smarty is apparently using EE network too. Should I risk them?

The S10e is worth a look because you already have a Samsung and would be realtively used to the interface (though a 4 year old one won't have gotten the OneUI 2.0 updates). I'd still go for the 3a over it though. Far smoother to use and superior camera.
Spunked my load on a 3a at £270 before realising it takes a week to arrive. Will keep current SIM and switch over to SMARTY when it comes. Having seen the 4a is 7mm shorter, I may become one of those consumerist wankers and trade this in for it in (release put back to October it seems), especially if it arrives and it's annoyingly big. Anyways, cheers Giggs.
The 3a should be almost the very same size as the 4a will be. The 3aXL is 7mm taller though, which one did you order?
Hopefully you've just looked up the size specs for the 3aXL but ordered the 3a (there will be no XL in the 4a).
EDIT: Ignore me, I was looking at the widths.

Just got my old S3 out to compare too.
Current: 134.5 x 65.2 x 7.3
S3 : 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6
Deffo won't have issues with the width and girth but an extra 15mm on the S3 is makin me apprehensive. Chuck on another 5mm for its condom case.
My phone's dried off and fixed up fully. They don't make 'em like they used to Might return the 3a depending on how cumbersome I find it.
An app drawer, a home screen (with widgets), and a non-dogshit voice assistant. It’ll be just like having a pixel again.
ARM Macs sounds interesting. Could be absolutely beastly (although undoubtedly the graphics capabilities will still be shit)
It’s a strange way to go when most Mac users like to say “productivity” a lot and only ever use photoshop and lightroom.
iOS 14 is exceptionally stable for a first beta release.

My phone is dead, although it turns out an upgrade is available so I'm just going to do that rather than faffing about. As a Samsung loyalist, is there any reason I shouldn't go for the S20?
Not a thing wrong with the S20. No glaring misses like some of the competition.
Did you get into your Samsung account?
Yeah, I have a certain amount backed up and a certain amount not. Went down the Samsung shop in Kingston (you can only imagine how many masks and screens have been erected in there) and the guy said it was a motherboard blown. He did a factory reset and initially it worked, so I went home with it, but soon died again. I can't be fucked getting it fixed when there's an upgrade due and the S20 will work out cheaper anyway.
3a finally arrived after delays. Not too bad size wise but still big enough to pose an inferior choice to my current perfectly sized antique.
In terms of returning it, a courier is meant to come collect it today. I hand the fucker the phone, what exactly prevents him from i) saying he didn't collect it or, ii) taking the phone out the box and returning the empty box? Am I just not showing enough faith in my fellow man or something?
If the iPhone 12 is 5.4-inch, I will happily blow a hole in my wallet for it.
If they do go back to that brick design like the 4 and 5 then my iPhone experience will end with the 11.
Anyone know if there’s any possible way to divert a single contact on an iPhone? Or, failing that, on Android?
