I haven't been watching it but Gladbach not humping Bremen is a real surprise.
Bremen are shocking at home (5 points from 12 games).

This Frankfurt/Freiburg match is cracking.
Frankfurt have just scored twice in three minutes to make it 3-3.
Whoops.A World Trade Organisation (WTO) investigation has concluded that the Saudi Arabian state breached international law by running pirate TV network beoutQ.
Getting booted for a Pirate TV network rather than slaying an innocent man. The Premier League knows which side of their bread is buttered.
FIRST SEMI FINAL DAY!
Czech Republic v France
The Unfancied Czech's in their first ever Euros against the classy French. The Czechs have defeated Portugal and knocked out Italy in the group. Another scalp isn't beyond Nedved and co.
Surely the classy French (sic) won't bottle it when it matters most?
I’ve never understood it. They’ve won more World Cups since I was born that anyone else and at least two more international finals. Born winners.
Turns out the Livingston Twitter poll was all for charity. ‘Keeper offered to not resign and for his contract to be passed onto someone younger. Both he and the chairman will donate his next two months wages to said charity.
Poor souls. The world only started to become relevant the following year.
The '02 French bottlejob.
Czech Republic shutting Portugal down with ease in the end. I'll stick my neck on the line and back them to beat France.
Leipzig v Hertha kicking off in about 5 minutes.
Leipzig won their last match 5-0 with Hertha winning their last game 4-0.
Historically quite a few goals in this fixture too with the reverse match earlier in the season ending 4-2 to Leipzig.
France were also pathetic in the 2008, 2010, and 2012 (where they couldn't even top a group with us in it) tournaments. If they can't put out two sides as good as the opposition they just melt.
The Champions curse is legitimately interesting when it comes to the World Cup. France, Spain and Germany all whimpering out at the first hurdle.
Great teams never last longer than about 2-3 years, but they usually convince themselves otherwise and fall flat on their faces.
Spain managed to drag it out for a third tournament by getting progressively more cynical under Del Bosque. The Aragonés team in 2008 were definitely the best of the three.
The goal music really adds to that.
This Mainz side are very close to the relegation zone but they play some nice football at times.
The Mainz goalkeeper though, horseshit.
Schalke are shocking right now.
David Wagner isn’t a very good manager. What’s his win rate in the last 2 years? 5%?
He's won 12 games this season but those draws would have Phonics triggered.
Only bottom of the table Paderborn are in worse form right now.
Did he walk straight from a sacking by Huddersfield to managing Schalke? Thats not painting a good picture of the German league.
He took 5/6 months off but yeah, Schalke was his first job after Huddersfield.
Getting Huddersfield into the Premiership and keeping them there for a year was massive for him and will grant him a lot of job opportunities throughout his career.
Edit: He did also play for Schalke for a few years so I imagine that played into it too.
He's Klopp's mate, that seems to be mostly what's opened doors for him
Ffs. Multitabbing (did that exist in 1996?)
Exactly - football managers exist in clusters around big men who are always on the end of the phone to chairmen with their recommendations. There's the Ferguson cluster which has been destroying mid-size English clubs for 20 years; the Guardiola cluster being sacked from clubs around Europe for some time now; the Mourinho/Mendes cluster inexplicably getting people like Marco Silva and Carlos Carvalhal into decent English jobs; and now Jurgen has his own cluster, extending across the Bundesliga and reaching into provincial England. Wenger never had a cluster, proper lone wolf.
It's like Covid-19, but more contagious and with longer-lasting damage to communities.
We basically appointed Mcleish because Ferguson wrote a letter to Lerner, the wet twat.
That was the appointment (and chairman) which took us down a level and we've never recovered.
At least he nailed it when appointing his own successor.
Has he actually left yet?
17th June when the PL returns. The proposed TV schedule will be a bit overbearing mind.
That TV schedule is a farce. They might as well play all the games in Vegas, have the players come out onto the pitch in dodgems and have plastic volcanoes firing chili con carne lava into the air.
It should be all games at 3pm and no one is allowed to watch, listen to it or follow in any way, and just have Prince William read out the results on Radio 4 the next morning.
If people have been actually choosing to watch the Bundesliga then they'll be stapling their eyes open for every second of the Premier League returning, I assume.
Who gives a fuck anyway, it's THE BIG GAME tonight.
Has anyone been choosing to watch the Bundesliga? I assumed Mahow was being held hostage by Felix Magath and Mr Stamper from Tomorrow Never Dies.
I've watched a couple of Bundesliga games. Dortmund and FC Taurine
Bundesliga is easily the most fun league to watch, though I wouldn't expect the English to get over their pride and tune in
Aye it's the pride that does it for me.
England Germany tonight, it's on.
I assumed it was just the sort of people who bet on throw ins and such but I don't go into the betting thread so I've no idea if Raoul has just broken my theory.
I can fully believe this to be fair, I just cannot be bothered with watching sport where either I don't have any kind of interest in who wins or where the stakes aren't high enough to make it a spectacle.

It's the most fun league to watch if your idea of fun involves watching some people from the Ruhr Valley gurn at others, all of them either in double denim or wishing they were.
I'm a La Liga man. Their crowd goal noise is way better than any other country's and evokes the shape Zidane's mouth used to make when he scored.
The fifth best league in Europe behind the Championship.
